The Kogan DuoGlide KAIRNCLS24A is listed as a 2400W cordless-and-corded steam iron with a ceramic soleplate, but the public evidence does not establish how well it performs in independent testing. CHOICE marks it discontinued, and the one surfaced customer review praises corded use while expressing difficulty with cordless operation. Treat it as a model to assess by its specific features and verified current availability—not as a proven cordless recommendation.
What the KAIRNCLS24A offers
The exact model number is KAIRNCLS24A. The Mighty Ape listing describes operation both with and without the cord, plus dry, spray and steam modes, adjustable steam and temperature controls, and a ceramic soleplate. It also lists anti-drip and anti-calcium systems, automatic shut-off, and horizontal and vertical steaming. These are retailer-published product details, not independently verified test results. Mighty Ape’s listing says the package includes the iron, a water cup and a user manual.
The retailer lists a 280 ml water tank and steam output of 20±5 g/min. That output is a specification stated on the listing, not a measured result from an independent test. The same listing gives a weight of 1 kg and cable length of 2.5 m. CHOICE records 1.3 kg and a 2.7 m cord instead, so those dimensions are not consistent across the available sources. CHOICE’s product record also describes a ceramic soleplate, a stated wattage range of 2000–2400 W and a one-year warranty.
What is known about its ironing performance?
The strongest available user-level evidence is one verified-purchase review on Mighty Ape. Georgina L wrote on 14 January 2026: “Product works really well as a corded iron. The cordless function I either can’t master or is pretty ineffective. I like it overall, but unfortunate about the cordless function.” This is one customer’s experience, not a controlled test or proof of a general defect.

Is it still available, and what did it cost?
CHOICE marks the KAIRNCLS24A discontinued and shows a $90 price on its product page; that figure is a page snapshot, not a current offer. A Kogan category-page crawl dated 23 June 2025 showed $39.99 against a “was” price of $89.99. Those historical listing figures do not confirm that the iron is currently in stock or available at either price. Check the seller’s live listing before treating the model as purchasable. Kogan’s category page was the source of the dated listing snapshot.

Who might consider it?
If you already own this iron, its stated corded mode and listed steam and temperature controls describe a conventional way to use it; the customer review is also positive about corded operation. If cordless use is the main reason you are considering it, the available evidence is not reassuring enough to confirm that experience will meet your needs: the only quoted customer account found reports difficulty or ineffectiveness, and there is no public independent score or cordless runtime figure to balance that report.

For a purchase decision, first establish that the exact model is actually available. Then compare current alternatives using specifications that matter to your ironing: whether operation is cordless or corded, how often a cordless model must return to its base, weight, tank capacity, steam output, soleplate material, automatic shut-off, warranty and publicly visible independent test results.
