The Kmart Anko High Power Blender BL9710A-SA is a 1000W glass-jug blender with a 1.75-litre maximum jug capacity, a 600ml bottle and four listed preset functions. Kmart listed it at AUD $69 when checked, but that price and stock can change. Its specifications make it a budget option to consider; publicly available evidence does not establish how it performs across blending tasks, so weigh the features against your needs rather than treating wattage or a handful of owner reviews as proof of performance.
What the Kmart Anko BL9710A-SA includes
Kmart identifies the model as BL9710A-SA and lists it under SKU P_43138609. The package includes a 1.75-litre glass jug and a 600ml bottle. Kmart lists four presets: smoothie, auto clean, ice crush and pulse, and describes the blender for smoothies, dips, crushed ice and soups. Its stated electrical requirements are 1000W and 220–240V AC at 50–60Hz. Check Kmart’s current product listing for availability and price.
The official manual gives the jug’s maximum capacity as 1750ml. CHOICE lists the jug as 1.8L; that is a rounded figure, not evidence of a larger jug. CHOICE also lists a 4.4kg appliance weight, a 1.9kg jug weight, dimensions of 43 × 19 × 20cm (H × W × D), and 84dB noise. Those figures are useful for considering storage and handling, but the noise figure alone does not indicate how loud it will seem in your kitchen.

It offers a substantial glass jug, a separate drinking bottle and task-oriented presets at a listed price of AUD $69 when accessed. That combination may suit someone seeking a basic blender for everyday drinks and occasional ice crushing without spending much. The listed 1000W rating describes electrical power, not the quality or speed of results; wattage alone cannot tell you how well a blender handles greens, nut butter or other demanding recipes.

CHOICE’s public page lists specifications for this model, but its Expert Rating and task-specific results are restricted to members. It names tests including green smoothies, kale, nut butter, sorbet, ice crushing, chopping, dough, dry milling, cheese and raw soup. Those hidden results cannot support a performance verdict here. If one of those tasks is central to your decision, look for accessible, model-specific evidence or compare the unit in person against a model with published results.
What owners report—and what it cannot prove
ProductReview.com.au displayed six reviews and a 3.3 rating when accessed. The visible comments are mixed: some owners praised value, ice crushing, cleaning or general performance, while others described difficulty engaging the lid or switch. One recent reviewer reported problems with the locking mechanism and returning two units; another described an electrical-burning smell followed by shutdown.

These are individual reports in a small, self-selected review set, not controlled tests or a measure of how often problems occur. They are reasons to check that the lid and jug engage correctly and to stop using the blender if it smells of burning or shuts down unexpectedly—not grounds to conclude that every unit has a defect. Read the owner submissions with that limitation in mind.

The manual says all parts except the motor unit are dishwasher safe. Keep the motor unit out of water. The blades are sharp, so take care when handling or cleaning them. For the auto-clean function, the manual directs users to add about 400–500ml of warm water, run the function and then rinse the jug. It also recommends storing the jug with the lid not fully closed so air can circulate and help prevent odour.

The manual states a 12-month warranty from purchase for defects in materials and workmanship when the appliance is used according to its instructions. It says Kmart may offer a refund, repair or exchange where possible during the warranty period, subject to exclusions. The warranty is additional to rights under Australian Consumer Law. Keep the receipt and contact Kmart customer service if you need to make a claim; consult the manual for the applicable terms.

Who should consider it?
- Consider it if you want a glass jug, a 600ml bottle and listed smoothie, ice-crush, pulse and auto-clean presets at a modest listed price.
- Check more before buying if you need dependable results for tough ingredients, especially greens or nut butter, or need a verified performance comparison. Public specifications do not answer those questions.
- Think about handling and storage if a heavy jug or the blender’s listed dimensions could be inconvenient. CHOICE lists the jug at 1.9kg and the appliance at 4.4kg.
- Recheck the current listing for price and stock, and confirm the package and warranty details before purchase.
