The A.H. Beard King Koil Chiro Valor Firm is listed as discontinued by CHOICE, so the first question is whether you can still find one—not whether its old listed price is a current deal. CHOICE describes it as a 29 cm pocket-spring mattress, but the available material does not establish a public test score or a current replacement model.
Availability: CHOICE lists the Valor Firm as discontinued
CHOICE marks the A.H. Beard King Koil Chiro Valor Firm as discontinued. That means buyers should confirm that a specific retailer has the mattress in stock before comparing it or arranging a delivery. An older A.H. Beard article named Harvey Norman as the model’s exclusive retailer, but that does not verify present-day stock at Harvey Norman or elsewhere. A.H. Beard’s current shopping page directs shoppers to retail partners for its ranges; it does not establish that this discontinued model is available. CHOICE product listing · A.H. CHOICE review evidence and limits
The available CHOICE listing identifies the construction and specifications, but does not disclose a public CHOICE Expert Rating or a model-specific comfort or performance result. There is therefore no score here to use as evidence that the mattress passed or failed an independent test. CHOICE product listing
A.H. Beard describes the mattress as providing spinal support and minimizing partner disturbance. The manufacturer’s article says: “The King Koil Chiro Valor Firm mattress provides exceptional spinal support whatever your shape and size, and minimises partner disturbance while you’re sleeping.” These are promotional claims, not clinical evidence or a substitute for an individual comfort assessment. Old prices, guarantee and endorsement claims
CHOICE’s listing shows A$2,499 and a sale or negotiated price of A$1,200. These are figures on a product listing, not verified current prices or live offers. Because the model is marked discontinued, ask any seller for the actual delivered price and written terms for the particular mattress being sold. CHOICE product listing
A.H. Beard’s older article says the mattress was approved to carry the Sensitive Choice blue butterfly symbol and states a 10-year guarantee. The current conditions—and whether they apply to any remaining inventory—are not established by that statement. If a seller offers a remaining unit, request the applicable warranty document and confirm who will honor it and when coverage begins. A.H. Beard’s model article

Is there a current successor?
A.H. Beard’s current King Koil range describes individually pocketed spring support technology and includes newer models. That range information does not identify a one-to-one successor to the discontinued Valor Firm, nor establish that newer models share its exact construction or feel. A.H. Beard King Koil range
If you are considering a current mattress instead, compare the details that affect your own decision rather than relying on the Valor name: firmness, support construction, thickness and layers, partner-motion isolation, trial or exchange terms, warranty coverage, delivered price and confirmed stock. Try the feel in person when possible; a similar label or spring technology alone does not establish an equivalent sleeping experience.
