Bottom line: the A.H. Beard King Koil Chiro Entice is listed as discontinued, and ProductReview displayed a 1.4 rating from 19 reviews when checked in 2026. Many of those owner reviews describe sagging, visible indentations and increasing discomfort, although a smaller number of earlier reviewers reported good comfort or support. That is a strongly negative, self-selected owner signal—not a laboratory durability test—and it does not prove that every mattress failed.
The only documented price is historical: CHOICE recorded an RRP of $2,099 and a paid price of $1,006 (52% lower) in purchases made in New South Wales between May and June 2017. Current stock, specifications, warranty terms and any successor model are not established, so treat listings today as secondhand or legacy offers until the seller proves otherwise.
At a glance
| Question | What is established | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Is the model still sold? | ProductReview marks the King Koil Chiro Entice as discontinued. | Present-day stock and an official replacement are unconfirmed. |
| What rating did owners give it? | ProductReview displayed 1.4 from 19 reviews when checked in 2026. | A small, self-selected platform sample; not a controlled test or population survey. |
| What problems are mentioned? | Several visible reviews describe sagging, channels or indentations, discomfort and difficulty obtaining a satisfactory remedy. | These are individual reports. They do not establish medical causation or mean every owner had the same experience. |
| Did anyone like it? | A few earlier reviewers described good comfort or support. | Experiences were mixed, with the visible recent signal leaning strongly negative. |
| What did it cost? | CHOICE listed $2,099 RRP and $1,006 paid, a 52% reduction, in its 2017 NSW purchase table. | A dated transaction, not a current value or availability estimate. |
| Are specifications and warranty terms known? | Current authoritative construction, firmness, warranty wording and replacement model were not established. | Do not infer them from the name, an old listing or an owner comment. |
What the owner rating really tells you
ProductReview’s displayed score is useful as a warning signal, but it needs careful framing. The page showed 19 reviews and a 1.4 rating at the time it was checked in 2026. People choose whether to post, and customers with a serious problem may be more motivated to write than customers whose mattress performed uneventfully. The number can also change as the page receives, removes or reclassifies reviews.

For those reasons, 1.4 from 19 should be read as “the owners who chose to report publicly were overwhelmingly unhappy,” not as a measured failure rate. There is no controlled sample, standardized body-weight mix, laboratory indentation test or independently verified service history attached to that score. It is also not evidence that the mattress causes a medical condition. It records what reviewers say they experienced.

What owners say about sagging and comfort
Frequent negative themes
Numerous visible reviews describe a body impression, channel or indentation developing in the sleep surface. Reviewers connect those changes with loss of comfort, reduced support or difficulty sleeping. Some say the problem became a dispute about whether the mattress qualified for a remedy, and report that the outcome did not satisfy them. Manufacturer replies appear on some reviews, so the page contains an exchange rather than only one-line ratings.
Those accounts are consistent enough to make sagging the central risk to investigate when evaluating a used Chiro Entice. They are still reports from particular households. Mattress life depends on factors such as user weight, sleeping position, base condition, rotation practices, moisture and the time elapsed; the review page does not control or document those variables. It would be inaccurate to convert the complaints into a guaranteed lifespan or a universal defect rate.
Positive experiences are part of the record
A few earlier reviewers describe the mattress as comfortable or supportive. Their comments matter because they show that the design was not universally disliked from the first night. Comfort is subjective, and an initially comfortable mattress can feel different after years of use or after a sleeper’s needs change. The mixed history is therefore best summarized as good early comfort for some owners alongside a prominent set of later complaints about impressions and durability.

Historical price: what the 2017 figure means
CHOICE’s investigation, published or updated 31 March 2017, included “A.H. Beard King Koil Chiro Entice” in a price table. It recorded an RRP of $2,099 and a paid price of $1,006, calculated as 52% lower. CHOICE says the mattresses in that table were purchased from stores in New South Wales between May and June 2017.
This is evidence of one historical transaction, not a current recommended retail price, a used-market valuation or proof that the same discount is available now. A seller who repeats the old RRP should also provide the exact model, size, age and condition; an old price alone does not tell you what a discontinued mattress is worth today.
CHOICE has also noted that mattress comparisons are difficult because retailers can use different model names and pricing structures. Its practical advice is to confirm the model name, obtain multiple quotes and negotiate rather than relying on a single advertised percentage discount. Apply that guidance as general buying discipline, not as a promise that a Chiro Entice or any replacement will be reduced by 52%.

Discontinued status and present-day availability
ProductReview labels the King Koil Chiro Entice discontinued. That label does not identify the exact date production ended, remaining warehouse stock or a replacement model. It also does not establish that every online listing is counterfeit or unusable: a retailer may have old inventory, and a private seller may be offering a previously owned mattress. It does mean you should not assume normal current-model support, parts or warranty administration.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Current official specifications—such as layer construction, height, firmness rating, allowable bases and approved care instructions—were not established. The same is true of current warranty conditions and any successor. Avoid filling those gaps with a similarly named King Koil product; names can cover materially different builds and years.
How to assess a listing before buying
If you encounter a Chiro Entice today, treat the transaction as a verification exercise. A mattress that looks inexpensive can be poor value if its age or condition is unknown, and hygiene makes returns difficult in private sales.

- Confirm the identity. Ask for a clear photograph of the law label or sewn-in product tag, including the full model name, size and manufacture details. Match it to the seller’s description. Do not rely on a title such as “King Koil chiropractic mattress.”
- Establish ownership and age. Request the original invoice, delivery record or other dated proof. Ask how long it was used, whether it was in a guest room, and whether it was stored flat and dry. If the seller cannot answer, price the item as an unknown-age used mattress.
- Inspect the sleep surface in daylight. Remove bedding and photograph the center, both edges and the area under the usual sleeping positions. Look for permanent impressions, channels, ridges, stains, odors, dampness, broken stitching and edge collapse. Press across the surface rather than judging it from a single angle.
- Check the base. A damaged, bowed or poorly supported foundation can alter how any mattress feels and may contribute to impressions. Ask to see the mattress on its normal base, not propped on an unsuitable frame.
- Clarify hygiene and delivery. Ask whether the mattress has been exposed to smoke, pets, water or pests. Confirm who carries it, whether it is wrapped, and whether the seller offers any inspection or return period in writing.
- Get all promises in writing. Save the listing, photographs, messages and receipt. If a seller claims remaining warranty cover, ask for the original purchaser’s documents and the exact transfer rules; do not assume a warranty follows the mattress.
- Walk away from unverifiable claims. A missing label, pressure to pay before inspection, unexplained odor or refusal to show the full surface is a reason not to buy, regardless of the historical RRP.
If your own Chiro Entice is sagging
Document the condition before moving the mattress. Photograph the surface without bedding, record the date, note the approximate location and depth of any visible impression, and photograph the supporting base. Keep your receipt, delivery paperwork, product label and prior correspondence together. These records help a seller or manufacturer understand the complaint, although the applicable remedy depends on the original sale, jurisdiction, age and written terms.
Describe observable facts—“a permanent depression remains after the bedding is removed”—rather than asserting a medical diagnosis or a guaranteed manufacturing defect. If the mattress is uncomfortable, stop using it if doing so is safe and practical, and seek professional health advice for persistent pain; an owner review cannot establish that the mattress caused a symptom.

How to research a replacement without assuming a successor
No verified current replacement or equivalent model has been identified. Compare categories and buying terms rather than accepting a seller’s claim that a newer mattress is “the same.” The following questions separate comfort preference from contractual protection.
| Comparison area | Questions to answer | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Comfort and firmness | Can you lie on the exact model long enough to assess pressure relief and movement? Is the firmness description consistent across retailers? | Comfort is individual; a model name or “orthopedic” wording does not predict your experience. |
| Trial and returns | How many nights are required before a return, who pays collection, and are opened mattresses excluded? | A home trial may be the only practical way to test sleep comfort, but conditions vary. |
| Warranty | What counts as a defect, how are impressions measured, who transports the mattress, and does coverage transfer? | “Warranty included” is not enough without the actual exclusions and process. |
| Total delivered cost | What is the final price for your size, delivery address, setup, old-mattress removal and any return charge? | A headline discount can disappear once delivery and disposal are added. |
| Identity and documentation | Does the invoice show the exact model, size and date, and can the retailer supply current care instructions? | Clear records protect you if a claim is needed later. |
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the 1.4 score as a laboratory result. It is a platform rating from 19 self-selected reviewers when checked, not a controlled performance measurement.
- Calling every impression a confirmed manufacturing defect. The page records owner descriptions; it does not independently inspect each mattress or account for the base, usage or age.
- Using the 2017 price as today’s benchmark. The $2,099 RRP and $1,006 paid figure belongs to CHOICE’s NSW purchases in May–June 2017.
- Assuming discontinued means “new old stock.” Ask for proof of condition and age; a private listing may be many years old.
- Assuming a similarly named model is a successor. Without an official specification sheet or announcement, equivalence is unverified.
- Ignoring the base and delivery terms. Support, transport and return conditions can change the outcome even when the mattress itself appears sound.
Verdict
The King Koil Chiro Entice has a poor visible owner-review signal and a specific durability concern: repeated reports of sagging or indentations accompanied by discomfort. A few owners reported good initial comfort, so the record is not universally negative, but the model’s discontinued status and lack of verified current specifications or warranty terms make a new purchase difficult to evaluate. If you are considering a surviving listing, verify the label, age, condition, hygiene, base and written terms before discussing price. For a replacement, compare an available model’s trial, warranty and delivered cost directly rather than assuming it is an official Chiro Entice successor.
