Prepare before launching The Infinite Coil: the operation locks your party and runs through consecutive fights. Keep Hawks alive, bring area damage and repositioning, clear the security-terminal waves, thin Tython’s droids before attacking him, and focus Fathom in both stages. Keep Hawks separated from Fathom and your other operators to reduce the danger if she controls him.
Spoilers: This guide covers The Infinite Coil, Tython, Fathom, and the campaign ending.
Prepare before starting The Infinite Coil
The Infinite Coil is the final operation. A walkthrough reports that it becomes available during the Fathom’s Grand Designs arc and that the game forces the operation after three cycles. Starting it ends access to the Den and prevents you from changing your party, so use the preparation window to improve bonds and upgrades and settle your squad before deployment. The encounter sequence and timing here follow the walkthrough’s account, rather than a claim of independent playtesting. (AllThingsHow walkthrough, updated August 29, 2026)

Hawks is mandatory and must survive. The walkthrough recommends Cly for area attacks and Combat Jump, which can combine damage with movement, and Jae for Final Shot, which can finish a weakened enemy without spending extra attacks. Fill the last slot according to your healing coverage:

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Choose a medic if Hawks’s build cannot heal and you need more survivability.
- Choose Trick if Hawks can cover healing and you want a heavier damage option.
This is a conditional recommendation, not the only viable roster. Operator skills and upgrades can change how safely you execute it.
Clear the security terminal and its waves
At the first fight, progress the terminal while keeping enemies from interrupting the operator working on it. The walkthrough says Cly can Combat Jump onto nearby enemies and still reach the terminal in the same round. Have other operators thin the current group and prepare for reinforcements arriving from the left and upper doors.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Keep a teammate near the terminal operator so an enemy cannot reach them and interrupt progress.
- Use area attacks against clustered droids and clear the reinforcements promptly; the walkthrough notes that many are weak enough to fall to one shot.
- Leave the operator at the terminal until the process finishes rather than abandoning progress to chase enemies.
Each operator has three action points (AP) for movement, attacks, and abilities, according to the official StarWars.com gameplay guide. Backup can add an ally’s attack, Overwatch can fire at enemies moving or acting within its area, and Advantage supports powerful special actions. Xbox Wire also recommends earning and spending AP and Advantage proactively; its author disclosed roughly 30 hours with the game, not a boss-specific test. (Xbox Wire tactics tips, August 26, 2026)

After the terminal encounter, Tython’s droid fight begins. The walkthrough reports three rounds before Tython appears, giving you time to reduce his forces. Prioritize sniper droids: they grow stronger each turn and can deal heavy damage. Weaken or eliminate other enemies too, but preserve some area attacks for the later fight.

When Tython arrives, attacking him triggers an immediate droid strike. Clear enough of his allies first, then damage Tython when an operator can withstand the response. A medic can make earlier damage less risky. You must defeat Tython and the remaining allies; eliminating Tython alone does not end the encounter. (AllThingsHow walkthrough)
Beat Fathom in both stages
Focus Fathom rather than spending actions on her allies. The first stage ends when she reaches half health; a cutscene changes the battlefield and Bennic joins your side. Continue concentrating damage on Fathom after the transition. Cly’s Combat Jump and Jae’s Final Shot can help build damage efficiently, but a one-turn finish is only possible with a favorable setup, not guaranteed.

Prevent a controlled Hawks from hitting the squad
Fathom can take control of Hawks and turn him against your operators. Keep Hawks well away from Fathom and from the rest of the squad, so that if control lands, he has no nearby target to attack. Bennic can heal Hawks after joining. Defeating Fathom concludes the mission and the campaign sequence described in the walkthrough. (AllThingsHow walkthrough)
Adjust your tactics to the game’s action economy
Zero Company is turn-based tactics, not a real-time action game. The official guide describes three AP per operator and actions such as movement, attacks, Backup, Overwatch, rallying, and Advantage abilities. Spend actions with the encounter’s immediate objective in mind: protect terminal progress, reduce the droid threat before Tython arrives, and direct damage at the active boss rather than dispersing it across allies. StarWars.com’s gameplay guide explains the general mechanics; Xbox Wire’s tips cover building and using AP and Advantage.

Difficulty and source limits
Players may find the final operation demanding, but the phrase “final boss feels impossible on Expert” is anecdotal, not evidence that the fight is objectively impossible or equally difficult for every build. The available boss walkthrough does not quantify how difficulty settings, equipment, skills, or upgrades change the encounters. StarWars.com identifies an accessible difficulty setting, but that does not establish a particular setting’s effect on these boss tactics. (StarWars.com)
