If you want a Justice primer that leads naturally into Grand Theft Auto VI, play the records in release order: start with Cross (†), move to Audio, Video, Disco, reset with Woman, and finish on 2024’s Hyperdrama. A compact song path is “Genesis” → “D.A.N.C.E.” → “Phantom” → “DVNO” → “Civilization” → “Audio Video Disco” → “New Lands” → “Helix” → “Safe and Sound” → “Randy” → “Love S.O.S.” → “Neverender” → “Generator” → “Dear Alan.”
That sequence moves from Justice’s harshest, most immediate sound to its rock and cinematic scale, then through warmer disco and soul colors before arriving at the duo’s current collaborative style. It also leaves you with the clearest documented GTA VI connection: Rockstar Games identifies Justice as an “Official Score by Justice” act and highlights the standalone single “Flower in a Hurricane,” credited to Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
What Justice has to do with GTA 6
Rockstar Games’ official GTA VI music page places Justice in the game’s official-score lineup. The same page highlights “Flower in a Hurricane,” a Justice collaboration featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar also describes Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album as containing 34 original tracks and offers CD and vinyl editions.

The route works because each album supplies a different kind of momentum. Cross (†) gives you the compressed, distorted attack associated with Justice’s first statement. Audio, Video, Disco opens that attack into rock arrangements and longer cinematic rises. Woman adds a warmer, more human groove. Hyperdrama brings the story to the present with guest voices, widescreen production and a more collaborative feel.
The four-album route at a glance
| Album | Release | What it contributes to the GTA VI warm-up | First tracks to play |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cross (†) | 2007 | Distorted, aggressive and melodic electronic rock; the essential introduction | “Genesis,” “D.A.N.C.E.,” “Phantom,” “DVNO” |
| Audio, Video, Disco | 2011 | Lighter, more rock-oriented and progressive, with an epic 1970s-inspired scale | “Civilization,” “Audio Video Disco,” “New Lands,” “Helix” |
| Woman | 2016 | Warm, romantic and soul-influenced, built around dramatic strings and clavinet funk | “Safe and Sound,” “Randy,” “Love S.O.S.,” “Alakazam!” |
| Hyperdrama | 2024 | The current, collaborative and cinematic bridge to Justice’s GTA VI score role | “Neverender,” “Generator,” “Dear Alan,” “The End” |
1. Start with Cross (†): Justice at maximum impact
Cross (†) is the 2007 debut that introduced Justice through a combination of distortion, aggression and strong melodic hooks. France Music presents it as electronic rock with a deliberately abrasive edge, while Le Monde identifies “D.A.N.C.E.” as the signature 2007 hit that remains widely remembered. For a first-time listener, the album explains why Justice can feel both club-ready and physically forceful.
“Genesis”: the ceremonial entrance
Use “Genesis” as the opening frame. Its function in this playlist is less about a singalong and more about establishing scale: you hear the duo announce themselves before the brighter melodies arrive. It is the right first track when you want the game-night playlist to begin with tension and intent instead of easing in gently.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →“D.A.N.C.E.”: the immediate hook
Follow with “D.A.N.C.E.” for the most accessible chorus in the four-album route. Its memorable vocal refrain gives the harder production a human center, which is why it works as the point where a new listener understands Justice’s balance of pop structure and electronic weight.
“Phantom”: the heavy turn
“Phantom” supplies the set’s most obvious hard-edged pivot. Place it after “D.A.N.C.E.” to hear the contrast rather than treating the album as one unbroken wall of sound. This is the choice for a mission-start playlist or any moment when you want the music to feel imposing.

“DVNO”: the neon finish
Close the Cross sampler with “DVNO.” Its dance-floor emphasis makes it a useful transition out of the album’s severity and into the more expansive rock direction of Audio, Video, Disco. If you only have time for one Justice album, Cross remains the best choice for the iconic introduction.
2. Move to Audio, Video, Disco: motion, guitars and cinematic lift
Released in 2011, Audio, Video, Disco changes the proportions of the Justice sound. France Music characterizes it as lighter, more rock-oriented and progressive; Le Monde describes its direction as epic, cinematic and inspired by the 1970s. That makes it the most natural section of the route for driving, an open-world traversal or a long action sequence where the music needs forward motion rather than a short shock.
“Civilization”: the broad horizon
Begin with “Civilization.” It carries the album’s large-scale feeling and gives the playlist a sense of leaving the enclosed pressure of Cross behind. Play it when you want a track that suggests movement across a map instead of a single room or club.
“Audio Video Disco”: the title-track engine
The title track makes the album’s rock-facing identity explicit. Its role in the sequence is to connect Justice’s electronic pulse to a more traditional band-like sense of propulsion. It is a strong choice for a road-trip portion of your GTA VI preparation because it keeps the beat driving while widening the arrangement.
“New Lands”: sustained forward motion
“New Lands” is the pick for momentum. Use it when you want the route to feel like it is moving toward a destination, not simply rotating through singles. Its placement after “Civilization” lets the album’s cinematic scale develop before the harder instrumental release of “Helix.”

“Helix”: the instrumental rush
Save “Helix” for the point where you want the most concentrated action energy from this album. With no need to carry a lyric-led narrative, it functions as a clean instrumental surge—useful before a chase, a difficult mission or any gameplay segment where you want intensity without a vocal focal point.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3. Use Woman as the warm, groove-led reset
Woman, released in 2016, is the route’s change in temperature. France Music calls it Justice’s most romantic and fully realized record, highlighting dramatic strings, clavinet funk and a mature emotional palette. Le Monde summarizes its direction as soul-influenced. After the pressure of Cross and the widescreen rock of Audio, Video, Disco, this album shows that Justice can build a track around warmth and groove without losing its sense of drama.
“Safe and Sound”: the uplift
Start with “Safe and Sound” when you want the reset to feel optimistic rather than subdued. It introduces the album’s brighter side and works well during preparation, free-roaming or a pause between more aggressive tracks.
“Randy”: the polished groove
“Randy” is the most straightforward choice for a glossy, dance-oriented middle section. It keeps the playlist moving while making the transition from rock grandeur to funk and soul feel deliberate. Place it after “Safe and Sound” if you want a smooth sequence rather than another abrupt change.
“Love S.O.S.”: the emotional center
Choose “Love S.O.S.” when the playlist needs its most openly sentimental moment. Its value before GTA VI is contrast: the song demonstrates that Justice’s dramatic instincts can support vulnerability and atmosphere, not only impact and speed.

“Alakazam!”: the extra jolt
“Alakazam!” is the optional fourth stop on Woman. Add it when you want to restore some punch before moving into Hyperdrama, or leave it out if you prefer the softer landing created by “Love S.O.S.”
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.4. Finish with Hyperdrama: Justice’s current bridge to GTA VI
Hyperdrama is Justice’s fourth studio album and was released in 2024. France Music highlights “Neverender,” “Generator,” “Dear Alan” and “The End.” Its collaborative and cinematic character makes it the logical final stop: you hear the duo’s present-day approach after tracing the changes that led there, and then enter GTA VI with the officially documented Justice connection fresh in mind.
“Neverender”: the vocal-led entry point
Use “Neverender” first if you want Hyperdrama to feel immediately song-driven. It is the accessible doorway into the album’s newer mode and works especially well after the warmer vocal emphasis of Woman.
“Generator”: propulsion in the modern frame
“Generator” restores the sense of acceleration without simply recreating the sound of Cross. Put it next when you want the final section to gather speed before its reflective close.

“Dear Alan”: the comedown
“Dear Alan” provides the recommended ending for the compact route. Its reflective position gives the playlist room to settle before the game begins, rather than ending on a peak that leaves no space for the opening scene.

“The End”: an optional widescreen closer
Add “The End” when you want a more cinematic finish or are listening through more of the album. For the 14-song sampler, “Dear Alan” is the cleaner stopping point; for a full Hyperdrama session, “The End” helps complete the album’s larger arc.
Choose a listening format that fits your time
The 20-minute sampler
For a short session, play these seven tracks in order:
- “Genesis”
- “D.A.N.C.E.”
- “Civilization”
- “New Lands”
- “Safe and Sound”
- “Neverender”
- “Generator”
This version gives you the debut’s attack, the second album’s motion, Woman’s warmth and Hyperdrama’s current propulsion without asking you to commit to four full records.
The complete pre-game arc
For the fullest context, listen to the albums in release order: Cross (†) → Audio, Video, Disco → Woman → Hyperdrama. Release order is more useful here than a mood-only shuffle because the contrast is part of the explanation. You can hear the movement from distorted electronic rock to progressive, 1970s-inspired scale, then to soul-influenced warmth and finally to a collaborative 2024 sound.
The 14-song essentials playlist
If you want a balanced playlist rather than full albums, use this sequence:
- “Genesis”
- “D.A.N.C.E.”
- “Phantom”
- “DVNO”
- “Civilization”
- “Audio Video Disco”
- “New Lands”
- “Helix”
- “Safe and Sound”
- “Randy”
- “Love S.O.S.”
- “Neverender”
- “Generator”
- “Dear Alan”
The order is intentional: each group establishes its own identity before handing the playlist to the next one. “DVNO” is the first transition, “Helix” is the action peak of the middle section, and “Love S.O.S.” creates the emotional space needed for the final album’s modern sound.
Which album should you choose?
- Choose Cross (†) if you want the most iconic introduction, the hardest immediate impact and the shortest route to “D.A.N.C.E.,” “Genesis,” “Phantom” and “DVNO.”
- Choose Audio, Video, Disco if your priority is driving music, progressive movement or a cinematic 1970s-inspired feel.
- Choose Woman if you want the warmest groove, dramatic strings, clavinet funk and the most openly romantic mood.
- Choose Hyperdrama if you want the closest album-level introduction to Justice’s current collaborative and widescreen mode, with the official GTA VI score connection as context.
If you can play only one song, start with “Genesis” for the clearest statement of Justice’s scale. If you can play only one album but want the current GTA VI context rather than the historical starting point, choose Hyperdrama.

What not to assume about the GTA VI soundtrack
Justice’s official-score credit does not establish that every song in this guide is licensed for gameplay, radio or a particular mission. The documented standalone connection is “Flower in a Hurricane,” and Rockstar’s page identifies the broader album as a 34-track collection of original music. Until Rockstar publishes more track-specific information, treat the Justice playlist as a listening primer, not a leaked or confirmed in-game playlist.
