JURA’s C9 is a compact fully automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine launched on 14 October 2025. Its defining feature is Light Brew: a lower-temperature, lighter-extraction drink brewed at approximately 60 °C with less coffee, so it is intended to be drinkable immediately rather than needing a cooling period.
What the JURA C9 is
The C9 sits in JURA’s premium-economy range and combines conventional hot coffee with a separate mild-drink approach. It can prepare 17 speciality coffees, including espresso, flat white, cortado and espresso macchiato. The machine is designed for people who want bean-to-cup convenience without moving to a larger, full-size appliance.
JURA announced the model in Niederbuchsiten on 14 October 2025. Availability, pricing and electrical variants are not universal, so buyers should verify the local product code, voltage, warranty and stock before ordering.

How the 60 °C Light Brew mode works
A different extraction style, not simply cooler coffee
Light Brew uses JURA’s Light Extraction Process. It brews at approximately 60 °C and uses less coffee than the machine’s Hot Brew preparations. JURA describes the result as mild and aromatic, with a flavour profile intended for immediate drinking.

That makes Light Brew fundamentally different from pouring a normal espresso or coffee and waiting for it to cool. Hot Brew is aimed at stronger, more conventional coffee flavours; Light Brew prioritises a gentler profile and a pleasant serving temperature. The approximately 60 °C figure is the brewing specification, not a guarantee that every drink will measure exactly 60 °C in the cup under every household condition.
Is it ready to drink straight away?
Yes. The mode is specifically presented as “ready to drink” at a pleasant temperature. People who prefer very hot coffee may find it cooler than a conventional hot-brew recipe, while those who normally wait for coffee to cool can drink it immediately.

What drinks and controls are included?
The C9 offers 17 speciality coffees through a 2.8-inch colour display operated with buttons. Its controls and brewing hardware include:

The 17-drink total covers both Hot Brew and Light Brew options. Exact drink names and one-touch layouts can vary by regional configuration, so the local product listing remains the authority for the menu supplied with a particular machine.

The 43.7 cm depth is the figure most likely to affect a shallow countertop. Measure the space with doors, cabinets and ventilation access considered, rather than comparing only the machine’s front width.
Grinding, brewing and personalisation
The Professional Aroma Grinder feeds the 5–16 g brewing unit, while the three brewing processes support the C9’s mix of stronger and milder drinks. Seven grind-consistency levels let you adjust the grounds in relatively fine steps; ten strength levels alter the amount of coffee used by the selected recipe. Three temperature levels and programmable milk quantity provide further control.

These settings are recipe controls, not an independent laboratory guarantee of a particular extraction time or flavour. Beans, freshness, water and cup size will still affect the result.

App control and connectivity
An optional JURA Wi‑Fi Connect accessory enables smartphone control through the J.O.E. app. Wi‑Fi Connect is not the same as built-in wireless hardware: buyers should confirm that the accessory is included or budget for it separately in their region. The app can be useful when remote recipe selection fits a household routine, but the machine remains operable from its physical display and buttons without that add-on.

Filters, cleaning and day-to-day care
Water filtration
The C9 supports automatic filter detection and JURA’s CLARIS Smart+ filter cartridge. The machine identifies the cartridge so the filtration workflow can be managed through its maintenance system. Use the cartridge and replacement interval specified for the local machine and water conditions.
Built-in maintenance programmes
Integrated rinsing, cleaning and descaling programmes handle the machine’s main automatic-care cycles. Follow the on-screen prompts and do not interrupt a cycle unless the instructions explicitly permit it; stopping midway can leave water or cleaning solution in the system.
Milk-system cleaner
A regional official C9 page lists milk-system cleaner mini tabs supplied in a refillable 90 g bottle. Milk components require their own cleaning routine in addition to the coffee circuit, particularly when milk drinks are prepared frequently. Confirm the exact care-product packaging available in your market.

- Choose it if you want: a relatively compact automatic machine, a broad 17-drink menu, conventional stronger coffee and a genuinely mild drink designed to be consumed at once.
- Check carefully if you need: a very large water or bean capacity, a built-in app connection, a hotter-than-60 °C mild drink, or a specific voltage and plug configuration.
- Budget for ownership: CLARIS Smart+ cartridges, milk-system cleaner and the optional Wi‑Fi Connect accessory where required.
What is not established yet
JURA’s launch and technical material establishes the C9’s functions, capacities and dimensions, but it does not provide one worldwide price or a universal stock position. Regional codes such as EA and NAA can differ, and no independent taste test or performance trial is represented here. Treat the manufacturer’s approximately 60 °C and “ready to drink” description as the product’s intended Light Brew behaviour, not as a promise that every cup will have identical temperature or flavour.
Bottom line
The JURA C9’s main distinction is not simply its compact size or 17-drink menu. Light Brew uses less coffee and a dedicated extraction process at approximately 60 °C, giving the machine a mild, immediately drinkable option alongside stronger Hot Brew recipes. Its 1.6-litre tank, 200 g bean hopper, adjustable grinder and automatic maintenance make it suited to everyday home use, provided the regional voltage, accessories and ongoing filter and cleaning requirements match your setup.
