Those figures are a practical guide, not a permanently published guarantee from the developer. The older documented pity points are 30 summons for Grade 1 and 175 summons for Special Grade, while Pity Boost is described as cutting the required pulls in half. Weekend luck, Lucky and Ultra Lucky can improve the result distribution, but exact modified percentages are not published. Awakened banners can use different costs, pools and pity rules.
How cursed-technique pulls work
Cursed techniques are obtained through rotating gacha banners rather than a single, fixed list with one universal rate. The Studio Resonance library describes three banners rotating hourly from a pool that contains every technique. The Roblox listing presents Lumens and cursed techniques as core progression systems, describing the game as a world where players “Roam the vast world of jujutsu, discover valuable cursed objects and hone your cursed techniques to the top.”
That hourly rotation matters when you are deciding whether to spend. A banner may be standard, featured or awakened, and the banner type can change the currency, available pool, pity counter or rate rules. Do not assume that a rate shown in an older guide applies unchanged to every banner currently visible in the game.

Standard rotating banners
The standard system is best understood as a set of rotating opportunities to roll from a broad technique pool. Rotation changes which banner is displayed, but the existence of a banner does not by itself prove that every technique has an equal chance. Rarity tables, modifiers and pity rules determine the practical odds.
Lumens and cursed techniques
Lumens are the progression currency identified alongside cursed techniques in the Roblox listing. A community guide documented a 350-Lumen price for one standard spin. Because that price is tied to the older table, treat it as an arithmetic reference rather than a current price for every banner.
The rarity ladder: grades and newer tiers
Older guides describe cursed techniques with four familiar grades: Grade 3, Grade 2, Grade 1 and Special Grade. The Studio Resonance library also describes a broader current system with rarity tiers numbered 2 through 6. These labels should not be treated as a perfect one-to-one replacement for the older grade names. A current banner may use a numeric tier, a traditional grade label or both.
What the labels tell you
- Grade 3: the common result in the community-reported standard table.
- Grade 2: less common than Grade 3 and still a substantial share of ordinary pulls.
- Grade 1: an uncommon high-rarity result with a documented older pity point.
- Special Grade: the rarest category in the four-grade table, also associated with its own older pity point.
- Numeric tiers 2–6: a broader rarity vocabulary used by the Studio Resonance library; the available material does not provide a complete conversion chart to the four traditional grades.
Rarity is a drop category, not a complete combat ranking. The available rate references do not establish that a higher rarity always produces the strongest build, the best skill interaction or the most useful technique for your account.

Community-reported standard drop rates
The following four-number table comes from an independent community guide. A separate Fandom table also lists normal Special Grade at 0.5%, but leaves several other cells and modifier states unknown. The official Roblox listing does not publish a complete probability sheet, so these numbers should be read as a current guide to the older standard table, not as a permanent developer guarantee.

The percentages add up to 100% and describe the broad rarity result, not the chance of receiving a particular named technique within that rarity. A 0.5% Special Grade result therefore should not be read as a 0.5% chance for every individual Special Grade technique.
Why the table is not a guarantee
Rates can change with patches, banner type or a revised summon system. The Fandom reference has unknown entries for several grades and for modifier states, and no supplied first-party page fills those gaps. Before spending, use the probability and pity information shown on the live banner. If the in-game panel differs from an older guide, the live banner is the more relevant reference for that session.
Pity thresholds and what they cost
The older documented thresholds are 30 summons for a guaranteed Grade 1 rarity and 175 summons for a guaranteed Special Grade rarity. Those thresholds describe pity milestones, not an improved chance on every individual pull before the milestone. A pity reward can also be tied to a particular banner, so do not assume that progress transfers between standard, featured and awakened banners unless the banner explicitly says so.

The cost figures are simple multiplication of the 350-Lumen single-spin price documented by the community guide. They are arithmetic illustrations, not a promise that every current banner charges 350 Lumens or uses the same thresholds.
Pity Boost
Pity Boost is described as halving the pulls needed for guaranteed-rarity pity. Applied literally to the older milestones, that would mean 15 pulls for the Grade 1 threshold and 87.5 pulls for the Special Grade threshold; because a summon count must be a whole number, the live game’s displayed counter determines how the Special Grade value is handled. Confirm the exact in-game requirement rather than rounding it yourself.

Pity Boost should be checked for three things: which rarity it affects, whether it applies to the current banner and whether it changes an existing counter or only applies to new pulls. The supplied references describe the halving effect but do not provide a universal carry-over rule.
How luck modifiers change your odds
Weekend luck
Weekend luck is reported as a 30% overall increase. The available description does not provide a replacement percentage for each rarity, so do not calculate Special Grade by simply adding 30 percentage points to 0.5%. “Overall increase” may describe the system’s weighted result distribution rather than a direct addition to every cell.
Lucky and Ultra Lucky gamepasses
Lucky and Ultra Lucky are reported to shift results toward better rarity tables. Exact modified percentages are not published in the supplied references. That means you can reasonably expect a more favorable distribution than the base table, but you cannot state a verified Grade 1 or Special Grade percentage without the current in-game display.

- Use the modifier only when it is active for the banner you are rolling.
- Read whether the bonus applies to all banners or only a named summon type.
- Do not combine Weekend luck, Lucky and Ultra Lucky as if each were a simple percentage multiplier unless the game explicitly supplies that formula.
- Record the displayed rates and pity requirement before a large session, particularly after a patch.
Awakened banners follow separate rules
Awakened banners are the clearest reason not to copy standard rates into every summon screen. The Awakened Limitless banner is documented as costing 150 Cursed Crystal per pull and having unique pity. An update guide also says it entered other awakened-banner pools. Those details indicate a separate economy and pool structure from the older Lumens-based standard example.
When an awakened banner appears, check its own currency, pull price, available techniques, pity counter and expiry or rotation information. A Special Grade rate from a standard table cannot be used to estimate an awakened pull unless that banner explicitly displays the same table.
How to verify a banner before spending
- Open the cursed-technique summon screen. Confirm whether the banner is standard, featured or awakened before selecting a pull.
- Read the banner’s rate panel. Look for grade or tier percentages, and note whether the panel labels them as base rates or boosted rates.
- Check the currency and per-pull price. Standard guides use Lumens, while the Awakened Limitless example uses 150 Cursed Crystal per pull.
- Inspect the pity counter. Record the guaranteed rarity, required summons and whether the counter is described as banner-specific.
- Check active modifiers. Confirm whether Weekend luck, Lucky, Ultra Lucky or Pity Boost is active and what the panel says each one affects.
- Capture the patch context. If the game shows an update label or banner version, note it so an older guide is not mistaken for the current rule set.
- Set a stopping point. Decide how many pulls you can afford before starting, rather than treating an unlucky streak as evidence that the next pull is due.
Comparing two techniques or banners fairly
Rarity alone is not enough for a useful comparison. Use the same checklist for every option:

Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Treating 0.5% as a promise
Special Grade at 0.5% is a community-reported base figure supported by two secondary references, not a permanent first-party guarantee. Use it as a planning estimate and verify the live banner.
Adding luck bonuses incorrectly
A reported 30% Weekend increase is not the same as adding 30 percentage points to every rarity. Without a published modified table, the exact result remains unquantified.
Assuming every banner shares pity
The older 30- and 175-summon milestones come from a documented table, while awakened banners are described as having unique pity. Check the counter on the banner you are actually using.

Ignoring patch drift
Hourly rotations, updated pools and awakened systems can make an older screenshot or guide misleading. Recheck the current banner after updates and before committing a large amount of currency.
A practical spending plan
Use the published numbers to set expectations, not to chase losses. At the older 350-Lumen price, reaching the documented Grade 1 pity would require 10,500 Lumens, while the Special Grade pity illustration would require 61,250 Lumens. Those totals show why a pity target should be decided before rolling. If the live banner uses another price, multiply its displayed cost by its displayed threshold instead.
- For a short session, choose a fixed number of pulls and stop when you reach it.
- For a pity attempt, budget the full displayed threshold rather than assuming an early hit.
- For an awakened banner, budget in Cursed Crystals and use its own counter; do not substitute the Lumens example.
- When a modifier is active but no exact table is shown, treat the improvement as directional rather than assigning an invented percentage.
