JTX cannot yet be compared fairly with Solana perpetual-futures venues on fees or liquidity. As of October 13, 2026, JTX’s official homepage places perpetual futures in a separate “Next” section, while its explainer and surfaced app document spot trading. No reviewed official source verifies that JTX perps are live, identifies their underlying venue, or publishes a perps fee schedule or liquidity data.

That makes this a status-aware comparison rather than a leaderboard. JTX has documented spot-order features such as market orders, resting limits and Smart Fill, while Drift documents SOL-PERP, BTC-PERP, ETH-PERP and HYPE-PERP markets, and Jupiter’s support hub has a Perps & JLP product area. The available official material does not provide a common, current fee or liquidity measure across those products.

The short answer: JTX perps are not verified as live

JTX’s official homepage lists spot trading, pro orders and receipts among its current surfaces. Perpetual futures appear under a separate “More markets, more surfaces” heading followed by “Next.” That placement is a roadmap signal, not proof of an operating perpetuals market. JTX’s public explainer and the trading controls visible in the surfaced app describe spot activity rather than leveraged perpetual contracts.

Consequently, a claim such as “JTX is cheaper than Drift,” “JTX has deeper liquidity than Jupiter,” or “JTX offers the best Solana perps” would go beyond the evidence available on October 13, 2026. There is no verified JTX perps fee table, funding schedule, open-interest figure, order-book depth statistic or comparable volume series in the official material reviewed for this guide.

Venue or product What the official material establishes What it does not establish
JTX Self-custodial Solana trading interface; spot market orders, resting limit orders and Smart Fill are documented. The public launch article is dated July 21, 2026. A live perpetual-futures product, its underlying protocol, a perps fee schedule or a comparable liquidity statistic.
Drift Its margin documentation, updated August 27, 2026, lists SOL-PERP, BTC-PERP, ETH-PERP and HYPE-PERP. A keeper page explains fee-funded matching incentives. A complete current trader fee schedule or a liquidity measure directly comparable with JTX or Jupiter.
Jupiter Perps The official support hub identifies a Perps & JLP product area. A dated, comparable fee schedule or liquidity statistic in the surfaced official material.
Zeta Markets Its official specifications page preserves historical 0.10% taker and 0.02% maker figures. A current market: the same page says Zeta ceased operating in May 2025.

What JTX is documented to do today

A self-custodial interface, not a custodian

JTX describes itself as a self-custodial interface. You connect and control your own wallet; JTX says it does not hold your private keys. Transactions execute on Solana and may involve third-party protocols. That model differs from depositing collateral with a centralised exchange, but it does not by itself prove anything about leverage, liquidation or perpetual contracts.

Some open-order paths can move tokens into a program-owned on-chain account for the duration of the order. The temporary program account is an execution mechanism, not evidence that JTX takes custody of your private keys. Read the transaction and program permissions in your wallet before signing, particularly when an order remains open.

Execution routes vary

JTX says some transaction paths may use Jito’s Block Engine or Block Assembly Marketplace. It also says that not every transaction follows the same path and that JTX does not control Solana’s ordering layer. A routing reference therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed priority-fee outcome, fill advantage or best-execution promise.

The documented order types are spot features

  • Market orders: submit an order intended to execute against available liquidity. The eventual price depends on market conditions and the available route.
  • Resting limit orders: JTX’s guide describes a supported limit order resting in an on-chain book. A resting order can remain unfilled, fill partially or execute only when the market reaches its conditions.
  • Smart Fill: JTX describes splitting a large order into smaller slices. Its terms warn that slices can fail or fill partially and that splitting is not guaranteed to reduce price impact or total cost.

These are meaningful interface capabilities for spot trading. They should not be relabelled as perps-specific order types until JTX confirms that perpetuals are available in the user-facing app.

Fees: why no reliable JTX-versus-perps ranking is possible

JTX’s published fee model

JTX says it charges a platform fee on filled transactions. Network costs and third-party protocol charges are separate. Its guidance directs users to the estimate shown for the specific transaction because the amount varies by asset and order type. The July 21, 2026 explainer does not provide a universal static rate that can be applied to every order.

That estimate is user- and transaction-specific. Before signing, inspect the order ticket for the platform charge, expected network or priority costs, the quantity that will be spent or received, and any third-party amount shown by the route. A quoted platform fee is not the same as your all-in trading cost.

Perpetuals add cost categories that JTX has not documented

A proper perps comparison normally separates at least the following items:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Cost component Why it matters JTX evidence available
Trading fee Maker and taker charges may differ and can depend on volume tiers or product. JTX documents a variable platform fee on filled transactions, but no perps maker/taker schedule is established.
Funding Periodic payments between long and short positions can outweigh the entry fee over time. No JTX perps funding rule or rate is established.
Borrow or margin cost Some leveraged designs charge interest or utilization-based costs. No JTX perps margin or borrow schedule is established.
Network and priority costs Solana transaction fees and any priority charge affect the amount paid on-chain. JTX says network costs are separate and vary by transaction.
Third-party protocol charges A route may add fees beyond the interface fee. JTX says third-party costs can be separate; the order estimate is the practical check.
Liquidation costs Forced closure can involve penalties, insurance-fund contributions or keeper rewards. No JTX perps liquidation schedule is established.

Drift’s keeper documentation says keepers receive a portion of taker fees for matching orders and that liquidation rewards vary by market. This explains one part of Drift’s mechanism, not a complete trader price list. Jupiter’s surfaced official support hub confirms a Perps & JLP area but does not expose a dated, comparable schedule in the material available here.

Historical Zeta figures are not a current bargain

Zeta Markets’ specifications page preserves 0.10% taker and 0.02% maker figures. The same official page states, “Zeta Markets has ceased operating as of May 2025.” Those percentages are historical documentation, not prices you can obtain from a live competitor, and they should not be used in a 2026 fee ranking.

The JTX referral claim is not a fee discount

JTX’s homepage advertises a referral reward of 20% of referred traders’ fees for as long as they trade. This is JTX’s published program claim, not a reduction in the referred trader’s own cost and not an independently measured market statistic. Eligibility, geography and current terms should be checked before relying on it.

Liquidity: what can and cannot be concluded

Liquidity is a defined measurement, not a slogan

“Deep liquidity” can mean different things: displayed order-book depth at a specified distance from mid-market, pool reserves, open interest, traded volume during a stated interval, or the price impact of a particular notional order. These measures are not interchangeable. A venue can have high volume but thin depth in the exact market and size you need.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The reviewed official pages provide no common, current JTX-versus-Jupiter-versus-Drift figure for depth, volume, open interest or realised price impact. No defensible numerical ranking follows from the available evidence.

JTX’s execution caveats matter

JTX’s terms say fills depend on available liquidity and market conditions. They disclaim guaranteed fills, prices and timing. The terms also describe any displayed Good Trade comparison as an estimate based on limited-depth sampled data from a single reference venue at a moment in time. It is not an actual trade on that reference venue and is not a best-execution guarantee.

Smart Fill should be read through the same lens. Slicing can change the market impact of a large order, but JTX does not guarantee that it lowers impact or total cost. Individual slices may fail, execute partially or cost more than one transaction.

How to make a real liquidity comparison

  1. Choose the same contract and notional on every venue, for example SOL perpetuals at a stated dollar size.
  2. Record the mid-price and the available quantity at fixed distances from mid, such as 10, 25 and 50 basis points.
  3. Record open interest and traded volume for the same UTC date and interval, identifying whether the figures are venue-reported.
  4. Include execution fees, funding assumptions, network charges and slippage in the all-in result.
  5. Repeat the snapshot at more than one time of day; a single observation can be distorted by volatility or a temporary market-making imbalance.

Until JTX publishes a live perps market and the same measurements are collected for all venues, use “not established” rather than “deepest” or “most liquid.”

Features: compare product scope before interface details

Feature JTX documentation Drift documentation Jupiter documentation
Product scope Spot trading surfaces are documented; perpetual futures are placed under “Next.” Perpetual markets including SOL-PERP, BTC-PERP, ETH-PERP and HYPE-PERP are listed on the margin page updated August 27, 2026. An official Perps & JLP product area is identified by the support hub.
Market orders Documented for JTX trading. Market and margin mechanics are covered in Drift documentation. Not detailed in the surfaced material used for this comparison.
Resting limits Documented as on-chain resting limit orders. Not established by the specific pages reviewed here. Not established by the specific pages reviewed here.
Order splitting Smart Fill splits a large order into smaller slices; outcome is not guaranteed. Not established by the specific pages reviewed here. Not established by the specific pages reviewed here.
Margin and liquidation No live JTX perps margin or liquidation specification established. Market-specific initial and maintenance margin ratios are listed; keeper incentives and variable liquidation rewards are documented. Not detailed in the surfaced material used for this comparison.
Self-custody model JTX says users control wallets and it does not hold private keys; some orders may use a temporary program-owned account. Not established by the cited Drift pages. Not established by the cited Jupiter page.

The table is deliberately conservative. “Not established” means the cited official material did not confirm the feature for the comparison, not that the venue can never offer it. Product pages, contract specifications and app availability can change.

Venue-by-venue reading guide

JTX: a spot interface with perps on the roadmap

Choose JTX only for a transaction you can verify in the current app and order ticket. Confirm the asset, route, platform fee, network estimate and whether the order is market, resting limit or Smart Fill. Do not fund a position on the assumption that a homepage “Next” item is already a perpetual market.

Drift: documented perps markets and margin mechanics

Drift is the clearest of the named venues in the reviewed documentation for contract scope: its August 27, 2026 margin page lists SOL-PERP, BTC-PERP, ETH-PERP and HYPE-PERP and provides market-specific initial and maintenance margin ratios. Its June 23, 2026 keeper page describes matching incentives funded from taker fees and market-dependent liquidation rewards. These pages support a feature and mechanism comparison, but not a complete fee or liquidity ranking.

Jupiter Perps: product area confirmed, numbers still missing

Jupiter’s official support hub identifies Perps & JLP. The surfaced page does not provide a dated fee schedule or liquidity statistic that can be aligned with JTX or Drift. Verify the contract, collateral rules, funding calculation, liquidation conditions and current costs in the live interface before treating the product as a direct alternative.

Zeta Markets: exclude it from a live-venue shortlist

Zeta’s official disclaimer says operations ceased in May 2025. Its preserved maker and taker numbers are useful only as historical context. Do not send collateral there or present it as an operating Solana perpetuals venue without new official evidence that supersedes the cessation notice.

How to compare a newly announced JTX perps product

  1. Verify availability in the app. Open the user-facing trading interface, identify a named perpetual contract and confirm that the order form supports leverage, margin and liquidation information.
  2. Identify the underlying venue. Record the on-chain program, oracle source, insurance or backstop mechanism and whether JTX is an interface, a matching venue or a front end to another protocol.
  3. Capture the fee schedule. Note retrieval date, maker or taker status, volume tier, market, notional, funding interval, borrow or utilization charge, network fee and every third-party amount.
  4. Check margin rules. Record initial and maintenance requirements, maximum leverage, isolated or cross margin, collateral assets, liquidation trigger and liquidation fee.
  5. Measure liquidity consistently. Use the same contract, notional, timestamp, depth distance and volume or open-interest source on every competitor.
  6. Test order behavior with a small amount. Confirm whether limits rest on-chain, whether partial fills are possible, how cancellation works and what happens when a slice in a multi-order strategy fails.
  7. Read the failure path. Find the documented response to stale or unavailable oracle data, transaction reverts, failed cancellation, wallet disconnection and liquidation.

Common mistakes and safer fixes

Comparing a spot fee with a perps fee

A JTX platform-fee estimate for a spot transaction does not answer what a leveraged perpetual position would cost. Fix the mismatch by comparing identical products and including funding, margin and liquidation costs where relevant.

Treating marketing language as measured performance

JTX’s homepage uses claims such as “Better slippage, fewer reverts, fills you can feel.” Present those as company marketing, not as an independent test. A Good Trade estimate and Smart Fill description likewise do not prove best execution or lower total cost.

Assuming an order will fill because it was submitted

JTX’s terms disclaim guaranteed execution, price and timing. A resting limit can remain open; Smart Fill slices can fail or be partial. Monitor the transaction state and check wallet balances before submitting a replacement order so you do not accidentally duplicate exposure.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Ignoring temporary program accounts

Some open orders may move tokens into a program-owned on-chain account while they remain active. Confirm the release and cancellation behavior in the current transaction details and terms before committing funds.

Using stale competitor pages

Historical specifications, such as Zeta’s 0.10% taker and 0.02% maker figures, can survive after a product closes. Attach a date and operating-status check to every fee or liquidity claim.

Decision framework for readers today

  • You need spot execution now: JTX’s documented spot order types may be relevant, but use the live order estimate and accept the stated execution caveats.
  • You need a documented perpetual contract: Drift’s official margin page provides named markets and margin mechanics. Jupiter’s support hub confirms a Perps & JLP area, but you still need to verify current contract and cost details in the interface.
  • You are choosing on fees: Do not select a winner from the available pages. Build an all-in calculation using the same market, size, maker/taker status, funding period and network assumptions.
  • You are choosing on liquidity: Require a dated depth, volume or open-interest measure. No such common JTX-versus-competitor statistic is established here.
  • You are considering JTX perps specifically: Wait for confirmation that the product is live, then verify the underlying protocol and its complete risk and fee documentation before depositing collateral.

What would change this comparison

A future update can make the comparison quantitative when JTX publishes a live perps interface and official specifications. The minimum evidence should include a dated fee table, funding and liquidation rules, supported markets, margin parameters, the underlying program or venue, and a liquidity measure that can be collected in the same way for Drift and Jupiter.

Until then, the accurate conclusion is narrow but useful: JTX documents a self-custodial spot-trading interface with variable transaction costs and advanced order handling; Drift documents named perpetual markets and margin mechanics; Jupiter documents a Perps & JLP area; and Zeta is identified by its own page as closed since May 2025. Fees and liquidity are not yet comparable across those products on the evidence available as of October 13, 2026.
