The original Joolz Hub is a compact, city-focused stroller with a narrow 53–54 cm width, one-hand steering and a fold that can keep the seat attached. But the available manufacturer material does not establish which market or production year product code 840100 identifies. Treat dimensions and load limits as variant-dependent, and verify the label and manual on the stroller you are considering before relying on a single specification.
What the original Joolz Hub is designed to do
Joolz positions the Hub for urban errands and transit: its product page describes one-hand steering, a 54 cm width, large rear wheels, four-wheel suspension and a compact fold with the seat attached. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent ride-test results. For a small footprint, the published dimensions are useful—but there are two distinct specification sets, so do not combine them as if they describe one confirmed version.

The figures come from Joolz’s current Hub product page and its original Hub instruction manual. The reason for the differences is not established. Check the manual supplied with the stroller and the exact market/version before judging whether it fits a storage space or meets a child’s weight needs.

Is it suitable from birth?
No—not in the standard seat configuration described by the original Hub manual. The manual says the seat is not suitable for children under 6 months. Joolz describes separate newborn options such as a cot, cocoon or compatible car-seat setup; verify that the specific accessory is approved for the exact Hub version. What to verify before buying a used or listed 840100
Confirm the model, not just the listing title
The available documentation does not map code 840100 to a specific market, model year or configuration. Ask for a clear photo of the product label and the matching manual. Do not use Hub+ or Hub2 specifications to fill gaps: the Hub+ page describes additions such as integrated LED lights and updated components that are not established for the original Hub. Match the weight limit to the actual manual
The current global product page lists a 22 kg maximum stroller capacity, while the original Hub manual lists 20 kg. The basket limit is 5 kg in both. Use the limit printed in the manual for the stroller in hand rather than assuming the higher figure applies to every Hub.
Check accessory fitment item by item
A regional Japan listing names Hub accessories including a rain cover, mosquito net, shopping bag, cup holder and car-seat adapter, but it refers to a listing with product code 8715688024317—not 840100. That list does not prove fit for this specific code. Joolz Japan Hub listing Joolz also has a Hub/Hub+ adapter page, but it does not establish fitment for a particular car seat and 840100 combination. Ask about parts and warranty in your region
The Hub manual says to use parts and accessories supplied or recommended by Joolz. Current product-page and manual warranty wording differs, so check the terms for your country, purchase date and seller rather than assuming one universal coverage period. The available material does not establish that a particular replacement part is currently available for code 840100.

The original Hub’s narrow width, seat-attached fold and listed 11.5 kg weight make it worth considering for compact urban use, especially when storage or transit width matters. Its evidence-backed limits are the version uncertainty and conflicting published dimensions and child-load maximums. Since the code 840100 mapping is not established, inspect the stroller’s own label and manual before treating any specification or accessory as definitive.
