Jodogahama Beach is on the southeast side of the Irokawa Space Center in southern Nangan. It is not labeled with a landmark name on the map, so use the space center and the large offshore rock formations to find it. To finish the Slice of Life challenge, take a Photo Mode picture of any Mazda with the beach rocks visible in the scene. Completion awards 2 Horizon Meets/Festival Playlist points and the Relax emote.
Where is Jodogahama Beach?
Open the World Map and look for the Irokawa Space Center, the rocket or space-station landmark in southern Nangan. Jodogahama Beach lies southeast of it. Because the beach does not appear as a named landmark, the space center is the most reliable map reference.
Once you reach the coast, drive down onto the sand or the nearby trail and look for the large rock formations offshore. The entire beach can work for the challenge, but the section closest to those rocks is the safest place to frame the required photograph.

The World Map unlocks during early progression, while the Festival Playlist becomes available after you earn the first Wristband. If you have not yet reached the space center, continue the opening story until the purple-wristband event introduces this part of the map.

How to complete the Slice of Life photo challenge
- Open the World Map. Travel to the Irokawa Space Center in southern Nangan, then head southeast toward the coast.
- Reach the beach. Use a road or trail to drive onto Jodogahama Beach. Position the car near the prominent offshore rocks; the right-hand section beside the formations is a dependable spot.
- Choose a Mazda. Any vehicle from the Mazda brand qualifies. The challenge does not require a particular Mazda model, performance class or tuning setup.
- Enter Photo Mode. Hold Up on the D-pad while the Mazda is at the beach.
- Frame the shot. Keep the Mazda inside the camera frame, preferably with the Jodogahama rocks visible behind or beside it.
- Take the picture. Press RB to capture the image. The objective should register immediately if the location, brand and vehicle visibility checks are satisfied.

Fast travel or drive from the space center?
After you have discovered a nearby road or trail, fast travel can put you close to the shoreline. If fast travel is not available, drive southeast from the Irokawa Space Center and follow the coastal access route onto the sand. Both approaches satisfy the same location requirement; the important checks are that you are on the beach, in a Mazda and have the Mazda visible in the final frame.
Rewards and playlist context
The October 15, 2026 Autumn Festival Playlist lists the objective as “Take a photo of any Mazda at Jodogahama Beach.” Completing it grants 2 Horizon Meets/Festival Playlist points and unlocks the Relax emote. The challenge is part of the Horizon Meets update.

Troubleshooting a challenge that will not register
The beach is difficult to identify
Return to the Irokawa Space Center and travel southeast. Ignore the lack of a named beach label and use the offshore rock formations as your visual confirmation.

Check the manufacturer badge in your garage or car selection screen. The requirement is Mazda specifically, not simply a Japanese vehicle or a car with a similar body style.

The Mazda is outside the frame
Reopen Photo Mode and widen or reposition the camera until the full vehicle, or at least a clearly identifiable portion of it, is visible. Include the beach rocks to make your position unmistakable.
The reward has not appeared
Capture the image again while parked on the beach, then leave Photo Mode and check the Festival Playlist progress. A shot taken on a nearby road, with another brand selected or with the Mazda excluded from the frame will not satisfy the objective.
