Licensed JDM cars and tuning

A corrupted Spirit World
Ph4ntom Driver moves the action into a corrupted Spirit World version of Guntama. Enemies include Youkai such as Oni, and the announced Hakai powers add a supernatural destruction layer to ordinary racing objectives. The campaign builds toward a confrontation with the Demon King Shouten Douji.
This setting is the clearest reason to choose Ph4ntom Driver over Japanese Drift Master.
