No public evidence in the reviewed company materials confirms that Workday is using TypeSafe’s Jev to build user interfaces. Workday’s September 2025 announcement describes its Workday Build developer platform and Flowise Agent Builder; TypeSafe describes Jev as a model for returning typed software decisions. Neither company source documents a Jev–Workday integration or says Jev generates interfaces.
Is Workday using Jev?
The claim in the headline is not established by the available primary sources. Workday’s September 16, 2025 announcement of Workday Build and its Workday Build blog post do not mention TypeSafe or Jev. TypeSafe’s Jev product page does not identify Workday as a user or partner. That does not prove no private or later arrangement exists; it means the reviewed sources do not verify one.
As a result, it would be misleading to say Workday is using Jev to generate user interfaces. The sources also do not show Jev building a UI for Workday, either automatically or in response to a prompt.
What Workday Build is
Workday announced Workday Build at Workday Rising on September 16, 2025, describing it as a developer platform for creating, sharing, and scaling AI-powered enterprise solutions on Workday. The announcement listed several parts of that ecosystem:

- Marketplace and partner programs: including the Built on Workday marketplace program and an Agent Partner Network.
- Developer community: with education and certification among the ecosystem offerings Workday describes.
Workday also describes Model Context Protocol (MCP) support for Workday APIs in its blog post. These are Workday’s platform and ecosystem components; the sources do not describe them as integrations with Jev.
Announcement timing is not confirmation of current availability
Workday’s 2025 release said Flowise Agent Builder was planned for customers with Workday Extend Professional in the first half of 2026. It said Data Cloud was planned for early adopters in the first half of 2026, followed by general availability later in 2026. Those statements record plans made in 2025, not proof of present availability. Check Workday’s current product information for status before relying on those timelines.

What Jev does, according to TypeSafe
TypeSafe calls Jev its first public “System One Model,” intended for software decisions. In TypeSafe’s description, software sends a structured question and Jev returns a typed decision with probabilities and confidence estimates. A calling application can use thresholds to decide whether to act automatically or route a case for human review, then combine decisions in code-based workflows.

A system could in principle use a decision result to affect what a user sees, but that would be an application’s design choice; no reviewed source establishes that Workday has built such a connection.

How Jev and Workday Build differ
The available descriptions place these products at different layers, so they should not be treated as direct substitutes.

What the performance claims do—and do not—show
Workday’s 2025 blog says developers report being five times more productive with its AI developer copilot. It also attributes a 50% increase in nurse retention to Extend apps at St. Luke’s University Health Network, reports twofold year-over-year growth in its developer community, and says more than 100 Built on Workday partners were building marketplace solutions. These are claims presented by Workday, not independent measurements in the cited materials, and they do not demonstrate a Jev integration.

TypeSafe’s product page, accessed October 13, 2026, claims its System One workflows are 193.6 times faster and 444.6 times cheaper than the comparison it presents. Its example lists TypeSafe AI at $0.000081 and 0.114 seconds, versus LLMs at $0.013880 and 8.566 seconds. These are vendor figures; without the underlying methodology and independent replication, they should not be generalized to other tasks or treated as proof of performance in Workday.
An early external review, the September 2026 preprint “Typed Decision Models: An Early Evidence Audit and Evaluation Checklist”, describes the evidence base as preliminary. Its authors report that typed readouts had not shown an independent general accuracy advantage over comparable label-probability readouts in the studies they reviewed, while some studies suggested efficiency gains. They caution that the evidence is too early for a settled assessment.

For an organization evaluating a decision model, useful tests include task-specific accuracy, calibration of confidence estimates, latency and cost under matched conditions, and whether confidence thresholds safely defer uncertain cases to a person. Comparisons should use appropriate structured-output or label-probability baselines rather than relying only on vendor headline figures.
