Truckful is a single-player driving adventure built around a pickup truck and a series of deliveries. Steam’s description says you run errands and complete quests for villagers while investigating an ancient mystery connected to a nearby forest. The loop includes loading cargo into the truck bed, navigating the countryside, upgrading the vehicle, and exploring between jobs. MythicOwl is the developer; MythicOwl and Pocketpair Publishing are listed as publishers. Steam’s Truckful listing gives the release date as October 9, 2026.
Vehicle handling and cargo are part of the challenge, rather than the game being only a sequence of scenic drives. The developer describes physics-based cargo and difficult terrain as complications that can make deliveries more demanding.

Valve says its compatibility details are intended to help inform play and purchase decisions, and that reviews are ongoing. The store’s displayed status is the formal compatibility information available there; developer testing does not replace Valve’s label. What the developer says about Steam Deck performance
In a Steam Community update dated October 6, 2026, MythicOwl said it had extensively tested Truckful on Steam Deck and maintained a steady 60 fps on high settings through most of its testing. Its FAQ also says players could expect “+40/60fps during most scenes” and that the game was optimized for Linux-based handhelds, including Steam Deck. Steam lists full controller support and recommends playing with a controller, which suits the Steam Deck’s built-in controls. The store also lists 30 supported interface and subtitle languages and no full-audio languages. Those details describe the listed support; they do not establish that every language or control option has been independently checked on the Deck.
Its structure—driving between destinations, handling deliveries, and exploring—appears well suited to picking up for a session and continuing later. That is a fit based on the game’s described activities, not a claim about save behavior or session length.
Is Truckful cozy or scary?
The developers describe most of Truckful as cozy, with countryside scenery and friendly villagers, but say that difficult routes, cargo physics, supernatural encounters, and environmental hazards add tension. They characterize encounters as situations to evade rather than a shift into demanding survival horror. That is the developers’ intended tonal description, not an independent assessment of the finished game.
