The Westinghouse WMB4425DSC is a built-in dark stainless combination microwave with microwave, convection and grill cooking. Westinghouse NZ lists 44L capacity, 900W microwave output and exterior dimensions of 595 × 568 × 454 mm (W × D × H). Before buying, check the cabinet and electrical requirements: the product page specifies a hardwired connection, and the figures available here do not establish the required cabinet cutout or clearances.
What the WMB4425DSC is
Westinghouse describes the WMB4425DSC as a “44L built-in Dark Stainless steel combination microwave with convection and grill functionality.” It is intended to be installed into cabinetry rather than used as a freestanding countertop microwave. The DSC suffix matters: Westinghouse’s WMB4425SC is the stainless-steel version, while WMB4425DSC is the dark stainless model.
Westinghouse NZ lists a 900W microwave output, radiant grill, stainless-steel interior, touch controls, child safety, 10 power levels and a grill rack. Its fact sheet also identifies convection, combination cooking, Auto Cook and Auto Defrost. These are documented features; they do not by themselves establish how evenly, quickly or quietly the appliance cooks.

Capacity: 44L nominal versus 39L usable
Westinghouse labels the appliance as 44L. CHOICE’s exact-model listing gives 39L usable volume, a 34 cm usable shelf diameter and measured usable cavity dimensions of 22 × 42 × 42 cm. Those figures use different capacity labels, and the available information does not explain the measurement methods or reconcile them. Treat 44L as Westinghouse’s stated capacity and 39L as CHOICE’s listed usable volume, rather than assuming one replaces the other.

If you regularly use large plates or dishes, the 34 cm usable shelf diameter reported by CHOICE may be more useful for checking fit than the headline litre figure. Compare it with the actual cookware you intend to use.
Cooking functions and controls
The WMB4425DSC supports microwave cooking, convection, a radiant grill and three combination cooking modes. Westinghouse NZ lists 13 Auto Cook programs and 10 programmed functions as separate specifications; the listing does not say that these counts mean the same thing. Auto Defrost is also listed, and the fact sheet identifies a grill rack.

Westinghouse says its predefined combination modes can brown, crisp and flavor food in less time than a conventional oven. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified result for this model. Westinghouse’s category description likewise says convection microwaves combine microwave functions with an oven’s grill function to help produce crisper results than a traditional microwave.
Dimensions, cabinet fit and installation
Westinghouse NZ gives overall dimensions of 595 mm wide × 568 mm deep × 454 mm high. CHOICE’s listing rounds claimed external dimensions to 45 × 60 × 60 cm. The figures are presented at different precision, and neither listing supplies the complete installation requirements needed to confirm a cabinet fit.

- Measure the available cabinet opening and surrounding space, then compare them with the current Westinghouse dimension and installation documents.
- Check the specified cutout, ventilation, clearance and support requirements in those documents. Do not treat the appliance’s outside dimensions as the required cutout dimensions.
- Confirm that the site can accommodate the specified hardwired power connection and meet local electrical requirements.
- Have a qualified installer verify the cabinet and electrical setup before installation.
The published product information does not establish cutout dimensions or clearances, so a fit cannot be confirmed from the external measurements alone. The product page says the unit is hardwired; the connection should be planned as part of installation, not assumed to be a standard plug-in setup.

Westinghouse lists 10 power levels, while CHOICE lists five; the available listings do not explain the discrepancy. Check the current local product documentation if the number of selectable levels is important to your decision.

The Westinghouse NZ page lists a two-year domestic warranty, and CHOICE also lists two years. Warranty terms depend on the market and listing; confirm coverage, exclusions and service arrangements with Westinghouse support or the retailer in your country before purchase.
