The Seiki SC-3400MV is a freestanding 34L microwave with a stated 1100W microwave output, ten power levels and six automatic cooking menus. Its headline specifications make it a spacious, straightforward option, but the model is marked discontinued by CHOICE and unavailable at Appliances Online. Check current stock and verify the unit’s dimensions before planning around one; the available information does not establish its cooking performance.
What the Seiki SC-3400MV offers
Seiki’s specifications describe a white, freestanding microwave with a turntable and a 34L capacity. The listed rated microwave output is 1100W, while rated input is 1500W. These are different electrical figures: 1100W is the stated microwave output, not the appliance’s input draw.

These features describe available settings, not a guarantee that a preset will suit every portion size or produce a particular result. One customer review on Appliances Online noted that time entry was in minutes rather than seconds; that is an anecdotal report, not an independently verified control test.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Will it fit your bench?
The published dimensions conflict, particularly on depth. Seiki’s specification sheet gives 519 × 408 × 315mm (W × D × H), while the instruction manual and retailer listing give 519 × 440 × 315mm. CHOICE rounds its listed external dimensions to 52 × 41 × 32cm. Measure the actual unit or confirm its manual and product label before buying or allocating a space.
CHOICE lists ventilation clearances of 30cm above, 10cm behind and 5cm at each side. Check the manual for the specific unit before installation and allow the required clearances; a microwave that fits the benchtop footprint may still need more surrounding space.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)
- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.
- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
The turntable size is also inconsistent across the available listings: CHOICE reports 32cm, while a retailer question-and-answer response says 340mm (34cm). If your cookware depends on a particular platter diameter, verify the turntable on the exact unit rather than relying on either figure.
What is known about cooking performance?
CHOICE identifies the SC-3400MV as a turntable microwave and lists its output and other headline specifications, but its Expert Rating and detailed cooking, reheating, defrosting and ease-of-use scores are behind membership access. The publicly visible listing therefore does not establish how evenly it cooks, how well it defrosts or whether CHOICE recommends it.

Appliances Online’s listing snapshot shows a 4.5 average from 15 customer reviews. The visible comments date from July and August 2020; one customer praised the capacity and ease of use, while another advised checking counter space. This small, retailer-hosted set of old customer comments is anecdotal and is not a controlled performance test or evidence of current reliability.
Availability and whether to buy one
At the time of the cited listings, Appliances Online marked the model unavailable and CHOICE called it discontinued. Stock at other sellers is not established, so confirm that any offer is for the SC-3400MV itself and that the seller can supply the appliance before making plans around it.

If you find one, judge it on the exact unit’s condition, dimensions, turntable, included documentation and available service support—not just the 34L and 1100W headline figures. For a replacement, compare current products on usable capacity and platter diameter, external measurements and ventilation space, rated output and input, preset and manual controls, door ergonomics, warranty and service, and independent cooking and defrost testing. A current 34L microwave is a different product, not a substitute identity for this Seiki model.
Basic troubleshooting and safety
The SC-3400MV manual advises checking that the power connection is secure and the door is fully closed if the oven does not work. If the manual’s troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, contact support. It explicitly warns: “DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE APPLIANCE YOURSELF.”
