There is not enough verified information to recommend buying the Scope of Authority Warbond. Official Helldivers 2 material available for this decision does not confirm that a Warbond with that name currently exists, nor does it list its tier, items, Super Credit price, Medal costs, or gameplay effects. Until the Warbond appears in the in-game Acquisition Center or in a matching official announcement, any specific claim about its value would be speculation.
The purchase rules are clear, however. Super Credits acquire Warbonds, while War Medals unlock their contents. Arrowhead says Warbonds remain available and can be progressed at your own pace, so there is no documented need to spend immediately. Use the verification checklist and value framework below before committing currency.

The short answer
Do not buy a Warbond solely because it is being called “Scope of Authority.” The name, contents and price are not verified in the official sources used for this article. That means a reliable yes-or-no value verdict is impossible.

- That Scope of Authority is an actual Helldivers 2 Warbond, rather than a rumor, placeholder or misremembered title.
- Whether it is a Premium or Legendary Warbond and how many Super Credits it costs.
- Which weapons, armor, boosters, cosmetics and other items it contains, including their Medal costs.
- Whether those items match the missions and loadouts you actually play.
If the listing is genuine and contains several items you expect to use, the purchase may be sensible. If it offers only hypothetical value, cosmetic interest or a single uncertain item, keep your Super Credits until the contents are confirmed.
What is—and is not—verified about Scope of Authority
Arrowhead’s official Warbond information and currency guidance do not name a Scope of Authority Warbond. No matching official item list, tier, release announcement, price, Medal schedule or balance information was established.

Do not infer any of those missing details from another Warbond. A similarly named, rumored or Legendary Warbond cannot establish what Scope of Authority contains.
How Warbond purchases work in Helldivers 2
Super Credits buy access
Arrowhead’s currency guidance, updated September 7, 2026, says Super Credits are used to purchase Warbonds. Super Credits can be bought or discovered through gameplay. The Super Credits you spend acquire access to the Warbond; they are not the same currency used to claim each item inside it.
War Medals unlock items
War Medals are earned through gameplay and unlock Warbond content. After acquiring a Warbond, you still need enough Medals to claim individual rewards. A Warbond can therefore have two separate costs for your decision: the Super Credits needed to open it and the time or missions required to earn Medals for the items you want.
Progress is not presented as a race
Arrowhead says existing Warbonds remain available and can be progressed at the player’s own pace. PlayStation’s catalogue description also characterized Warbonds as “not time-limited.” Those statements remove the usual fear-of-missing-out argument, although they do not verify the availability of this particular, unconfirmed name. If Scope of Authority is eventually listed as a normal Warbond, you should still check its own store description for its availability rules.
What the known pricing information tells you
Arrowhead’s support FAQ lists Premium Warbonds at 1,000 Super Credits and distinguishes Legendary Warbonds as differently priced. It does not establish the price of Scope of Authority because its tier has not been verified.

Why a specific “worth it” verdict would be misleading right now
There is no item-level value to evaluate
Value depends on what you receive. Without a verified list, it is impossible to determine whether the Warbond has a primary weapon for your preferred role, an armor passive you need, a booster that changes your squad’s strategy, or cosmetics you personally value.
There is no balance evidence
Arrowhead’s stated design goal is that Warbond weapons and armor should “spice up the player experience, not to overpower the options available in game.” That is a developer design intention, not an independent balance test. It does not show that any unverified Scope of Authority weapon is stronger, weaker or equal to your current loadout.
The title itself may be ambiguous
A title circulating in a video, social post or community discussion may refer to a rumor, an unreleased project, a translation, a planned name or a different game element. Confirm the exact spelling and the in-game publisher listing before treating it as a purchase.

- Open Helldivers 2 and enter the Acquisition Center. Look for a Warbond entry with the exact name “Scope of Authority.” Do not rely on a thumbnail or a third-party summary alone.
- Check the displayed tier. Record whether the game labels it Premium, Legendary or something else. This determines which pricing guidance applies.
- Record the Super Credit price shown on your account. The amount can differ from general examples by tier, platform or region. Take the in-game figure as the operative price.
- Open every reward page. Note the weapons, armor, passives, boosters, capes, emotes, banners, player cards and other contents. A headline item is not enough to judge the whole Warbond.
- Write down Medal costs for the rewards you actually want. Separate “I want this item” from “I might eventually unlock everything.” Those are different commitments.
- Inspect the item descriptions and restrictions. Confirm weapon category, armor passive, slot, damage or handling details shown by the game, and any limitations relevant to your missions.
- Check the availability wording. If the entry says it remains available, there is no documented deadline forcing an immediate purchase. If the wording differs, follow the current in-game notice.
- Cross-check an official announcement. A matching Arrowhead or PlayStation announcement can confirm the name and launch details. If the announcement and the in-game listing conflict, pause the purchase and wait for clarification.
A practical value test once the listing is confirmed
Use the following sequence instead of asking whether the Warbond is popular or new.
1. Count items you would actually equip
Mark only rewards you expect to use in missions you play. Separate functional items from cosmetics. A Warbond with one essential weapon can be worthwhile for you even if its other rewards are irrelevant; a Warbond full of attractive cosmetics is valuable only if you want those cosmetics.
2. Match rewards to your play style
Compare each desired weapon and armor passive with your current loadouts. Ask whether it supports your usual difficulty, mission type, squad role and preferred stratagems. “Different” is not automatically “better,” and Arrowhead’s variety-focused design goal means the intended benefit may be a new option rather than a direct upgrade.
3. Price the complete commitment
Include both currencies in your decision:
- Super Credits: the access cost shown in the Acquisition Center.
- War Medals: the total required for the rewards you want.
- Gameplay time: the missions and progression needed to earn those Medals.
If you already have enough Super Credits and routinely earn Medals, the practical cost is lower than it is for a player who would need to buy currency and has little time to play. Keep those situations separate when judging value.

4. Compare against your alternatives
Ask what else the same Super Credits could unlock. If another confirmed Warbond contains several items you know you will use, an unverified or weakly relevant purchase has a higher opportunity cost. This is a personal comparison: do not assume another Warbond is better without checking its current contents and your own loadout needs.

5. Apply a wait rule
Because Warbonds are described as remaining available, waiting is rational when you are uncertain. Buy now only when the item list is confirmed and you can name the rewards that justify the cost. Waiting preserves your options without documented time pressure.

- The exact Warbond appears in the Acquisition Center with a clearly stated tier and price.
- At least one functional item fills a real gap in your regular loadouts.
- You have checked the Medal costs and are comfortable earning them through normal play.
- You value the cosmetics enough to include them in your decision, rather than treating them as accidental extras.
- You have compared the confirmed contents with other available Warbonds and still prefer these rewards.
Those conditions support a personal purchase decision. They do not mean the Warbond is universally superior or that its gear will outperform existing options.
When waiting is the better choice
- You cannot find the exact title in the Acquisition Center.
- The only information available is a rumor, leak, repost or unsourced video.
- You do not know whether the listing is Premium or Legendary.
- You would buy it without knowing any item names or Medal costs.
- You are hoping it contains an overpowered weapon despite no test or official claim establishing that.
- You are spending Super Credits needed for a confirmed Warbond that better matches your current play style.
Waiting is not missing a documented deadline when the available official descriptions say Warbonds are not time-limited. Recheck the official listing after a game update or announcement rather than relying on an old community post.
Common mistakes to avoid
Confusing Super Credits with Medals
Super Credits open the Warbond; Medals unlock its rewards. Having enough of one does not guarantee that you can claim the items you want.
Assuming every Warbond costs 1,000 Super Credits
1,000 Super Credits is the stated Premium reference. Legendary Warbonds are identified as differently priced, and Scope of Authority’s tier is not verified.
Treating developer intent as a performance guarantee
“Designed to spice up the player experience” describes the goal Arrowhead gives for Warbond gear. It is not proof of damage, survivability, efficiency or competitive superiority.
Using another Warbond as a substitute
A confirmed Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond or any other named Warbond can illustrate that different tiers and contents exist, but it cannot establish Scope of Authority’s identity, price or rewards.
Ignoring region and platform
The $9.99 1,000-Super-Credit example came from a US PlayStation page crawled October 13, 2026. Your storefront may show a different local price, tax treatment or pack selection.
Bottom line for prospective buyers
Scope of Authority is not currently supported by enough official information for a responsible buy recommendation. Verify the exact in-game listing first, then judge the confirmed items against your loadouts, Medal budget and cosmetic preferences. The only defensible decision before that verification is to hold your Super Credits.
