TechRadar reported a Prime Day offer on the Nex Playground on October 8, 2026, but the available information does not confirm that the advertised 20% discount is still live. Check the current Amazon listing and its terms before treating the deal as available. If the offer has ended, the purchase decision still comes down to the console’s included games, Play Pass subscription cost, and whether camera-based family play suits your home.
Is the Nex Playground deal still available?
TechRadar’s October 8, 2026 deal coverage reported a Prime Day promotion for Nex Playground. It does not establish the exact current Amazon listing, the applicable region, any membership requirement, or whether the reported 20% offer remains active. Check the listing’s displayed price and offer terms before buying; a past deal report is not confirmation of a live discount.
What is Nex Playground?
Nex Playground is a family active-play system that connects to a TV and uses a camera and motion tracking rather than relying on conventional handheld controllers. Nex’s UK product page lists an HDMI connection, wide-angle camera, Nex AI-powered motion engine, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0. The page also names a magnetic privacy cover, remote, power and HDMI cables, and a five-game Starter Pack among the included items. Because this is the UK listing, confirm the package contents and terms for the region where you plan to buy.

Nex advertises 60+ games through Play Pass, with examples such as Fruit Ninja, Bowling Strike, Starri, and Zumba Fitness Party. The catalog count is the company’s claim and may change. The product listing describes a five-game Starter Pack, but the available information does not clarify which games work without a subscription or how long any included Play Pass access lasts. Confirm those details on the live offer before comparing prices.
#1 Best Overall
- 5 GAMES INCLUDED. UNLOCK MORE WITH PLAY PASS. Playground comes with Fruit Ninja, Starri, Whac-a-Mole, Go Keeper, and Party Fowl. A separate purchase of a 3-Month ($49) or 12-Month Play Pass ($89) is required to access the full catalog of games and get new games each month, including Barbie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, How to Train Your Dragon, Peppa Pig, Care Bears, Elmo, Miraculous Ladybug, Gabby's Dollhouse, Kung Fu Panda and more.
- GET MOVING WITH ACTIVE FAMILY FUN. Nex Playground is a new kind of video game console that gets your family moving. It easily connects to your TV, transforming your living room into an active play space. Within minutes, your family will be playing Fruit Ninja, Whac-a-Mole and more. Using a built-in camera to track motion and natural body movements, anyone in the family can jump right in.
- JUST USE YOUR BODY TO PLAY. Play naturally just by moving your body. Playground uses the magic of AI to follow your movements using the built-in wide-angle camera. No controllers or clunky trackers! Up to 4 players can play at the same time, so everyone can get moving together.
- GAMES YOU'LL LOVE MOVING TO. Playground is packed with interactive motion games, turning your living room into an arcade, theme park, gym, and more. There is something for everyone. It is perfect for indoor family game night, after school activities, or a playdate with friends.
- EASY SET UP. Playground connects to your TV or projector with a simple HDMI connection and gets everyone in on the fun. It's small and sits elegantly on any console or mantle, and can easily fit in a backpack for playdates and more. From ages 5 and up—Playground is the life of every party.
Play Pass is a subscription that Nex describes as giving access to the complete catalog and new content. That makes the headline console price only part of the ownership-cost question: include any subscription renewal after an included term ends. Check the current subscription terms and the Amazon bundle details rather than assuming a particular duration is included.
Is the 20% offer worth buying?
It may be worthwhile for a household that wants shared, movement-based TV games and expects to use the included games or Play Pass catalog. It is a less natural fit if you want a traditional controller-first console, or if you would not use enough subscription games to justify the ongoing cost. Judge the discount against the total you will pay for the console and any Play Pass renewal—not just the percentage shown in a deal headline.

Check the offer before checkout
- Confirm that Amazon still displays the discount and check the final checkout price.
- Read the listing for region, eligibility, and any Prime membership requirement.
- Compare console-only and bundle options, including any travel case or subscription period.
- Verify which games are included and whether Play Pass is required for the games your family wants.
- Check Play Pass renewal terms so an included subscription period does not obscure the later cost.
TechRadar previously described an Amazon bundle with the console, travel case, and 12-month Play Pass in its bundle coverage. That earlier report does not show that the bundle or its price is available now.
What about privacy and safety?
Nex describes Playground as safe, private, and secure, and its product listing names a magnetic privacy cover. Treat the broader privacy and safety language as manufacturer assurances: the available sources do not establish an independent privacy or safety audit. If camera use is a concern, review Nex’s current privacy information and use the cover when the camera is not needed.
