Not worldwide, based on the available evidence. Nintendo’s US product page currently marks the physical Switch 2 edition “Currently unavailable,” and a report from Brazil says its preorder allocation sold out quickly. Neither establishes a permanent global sellout. Availability depends on the region and retailer, and the US listing can change.
What “sold out” means for this release
Nintendo lists The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2, with a November 5, 2026 release date. The game is exclusive to Switch 2. On Nintendo’s US product page, the physical listing currently says “Currently unavailable”; that is a status for that US listing, not a statement that every retailer or region has run out. Check Nintendo’s US physical product listing.

In Brazil, Tecnoblog reported on September 17, 2026, that physical preorders sold out in about ten minutes. The report said Nintendo had not confirmed another batch at that time. This describes the Brazilian preorder situation as reported on that date, not worldwide stock. Read Tecnoblog’s Brazil report.

Nintendo Life also reported that one retailer sought to double its order after the foil packaging was announced, but production could not accommodate the extra quantity. That retailer’s account helps explain why some shops may have limited allocations; it does not show that all retailers received the same supply. Read Nintendo Life’s retailer report.

How to check for a physical copy
- Open the Nintendo product page for your country and confirm the listing is for the physical game. The linked Nintendo page is the US listing.
- Check authorized local game retailers for their own preorder or stock status. A retailer can have stock even when Nintendo’s page says “Currently unavailable,” or the reverse.
- If listings are unavailable, check again later. Stock and preorder availability can change; the sources cited here do not establish a date for any restock.
What the first-print foil cover means
Nintendo says the first print run of the physical version will have special packaging with textured foil cover art, available while supplies last. That describes packaging for the initial physical print run, not a separately announced limited game edition, and it does not guarantee that every physical copy will have the foil cover. Nintendo’s announcement, reproduced by Gematsu, gives the qualification: “The first print run of the physical version will commemorate the release with special packaging that features textured foil cover art, available while supplies last.” Read the announcement reproduced by Gematsu.

The Electric OCARINA OF TIME is a separate optional electronic toy designed to interact with the game’s sound-recognition feature. Nintendo says it is not a real ocarina or a game controller; game software and batteries are not included. Buying the accessory does not provide the physical game. See Nintendo’s accessory listing.
