The Haier HRF454TW3 is a 415L-usable-capacity top-freezer fridge with a frost-free freezer, manual twist ice maker and listed annual energy use of 329 kWh. Its size and everyday features look straightforward on paper, but independent performance evidence for this exact model is limited, so treat noise and reliability as unresolved rather than settled.
How much usable space does the HRF454TW3 offer?
Haier Australia’s HRF454TW3 Quick Reference Guide, dated 17 April 2026, lists 415L of usable volume: 321L in the refrigerator and 94L in the freezer. The guide separately lists 450L gross capacity. For planning groceries, compare the usable figure and compartment split; gross capacity is a different measure and should not be treated as usable storage.
The layout is a conventional top-freezer arrangement. The fridge has three adjustable glass shelves, three door shelves and humidity-controlled crisper bins. Haier also lists spill-proof safety glass shelves and LED lighting.

The listed cabinet dimensions are 1780 mm high × 705 mm wide × 682 mm deep. Those measurements do not by themselves establish the space needed once ventilation, door opening and installation are accounted for. Measure the delivery route as well as the intended location, and use the current manual for required clearances before ordering.

Haier cautions in the guide: “Under our policy of continuous improvement, these dimensions and specifications may change at any time.” Check the model’s current documentation and retailer listing before purchase, especially if the available space is tight.
What are its energy and ice-making features?
Haier lists an energy rating of four stars and annual consumption of 329 kWh/year. These are manufacturer-published specification figures, not independent measurements. Your actual electricity use and cost will depend on conditions and your tariff; multiply 329 kWh by your applicable per-kWh rate for a rough annual estimate, while recognizing that it is based on the published figure.

The freezer is listed as frost-free, and the fridge has an adjustable thermostat. Ice is made with a manual twist ice maker and bin. The listed feature set does not establish an automatic plumbed ice maker, so buyers who want one should check the exact current model specification rather than assume it is included. The guide specifies R600a refrigerant.
What does owner feedback say about noise and reliability?
Appliances Online’s dynamic listing showed an average rating of 3.8 from nine customer reviews when accessed in 2026. Visible comments included a complaint about recurring noise and another about an early fault. Those reports are anecdotal and self-selected: nine reviews cannot establish a defect rate or provide a dependable noise verdict.

CHOICE lists a 2019 test for the Haier HRF454TW, a related model with a different suffix. Its results should not be attributed to the HRF454TW3; the detailed results are members-only in the listing. No controlled exact-model performance result is established here, so there is no sound basis for a firm claim that this model is quiet, noisy, especially reliable or unreliable.
What warranty is listed, and what should you verify?
Haier’s 17 April 2026 guide lists a two-year parts-and-labour warranty. Confirm the current Australian warranty terms, coverage and any conditions with Haier or the seller before buying, as terms may change.

- Consider it if you want a conventional top-freezer layout, 415L usable capacity, adjustable shelves and a simple manual ice maker.
- Check carefully if your kitchen has tight height, width or depth limits, or you need a particular door swing, delivery path or installation clearance.
- Look elsewhere if automatic plumbed ice making is essential, or you need independent evidence about exact-model noise and performance before deciding.
Haier’s HRF454TS3 is a separate model that also has a 415L capacity description on its current product page; the shared capacity figure does not mean it has identical specifications. Compare each model’s usable compartment volumes, dimensions and clearances, energy label, storage layout, ice method, warranty and current price before treating one as an alternative.
