The GIGABYTE M27Q2 QD ICE is a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor with a 200 Hz refresh rate, SuperSpeed IPS panel and quantum-dot technology. It is not an OLED monitor. Its headline specs and useful KVM feature make it worth considering, but the published 1 ms response time, color coverage and HDR support are manufacturer claims—not a substitute for independent testing. Whether it is a good buy also depends on its local price, warranty and return policy.
What the M27Q2 QD ICE offers
GIGABYTE specifies a 2560 × 1440 resolution, 200 Hz maximum refresh rate and a 210 Hz overclock mode. The panel is a non-glare, 27-inch SuperSpeed IPS display with quantum-dot technology. GIGABYTE also lists a 1 ms GTG response time; that is a published specification, not an independently measured result.
The combination of QHD resolution and a high refresh ceiling suits gaming where smooth motion matters, provided your computer can drive the monitor at the desired resolution and refresh rate. Before relying on the 210 Hz overclock mode, check the input, cable, GPU output and on-screen-display settings required for your setup. The available product information does not establish independently tested response behavior or input lag.
Is it OLED, and what can you expect from the picture?
No. GIGABYTE identifies the display as SuperSpeed IPS with quantum-dot technology, not OLED. The company says the quantum-dot panel offers “OLED-like vibrant colors,” but that is marketing language, not proof of equivalent black levels, contrast or overall image quality.

GIGABYTE lists typical brightness of 350 cd/m² and typical contrast of 1000:1, along with 1.07 billion colors. The specification page gives color coverage figures of 99% DCI-P3 and 150% sRGB; GIGABYTE’s feature page additionally claims 99% Adobe RGB and 83% BT.2020. These are manufacturer-stated coverage claims, not independent measurements or evidence of color accuracy or factory calibration. A wide gamut can be useful for vivid content, but people doing color-critical work should seek independent calibration and accuracy results for this exact model.
HDR and variable refresh rate
The monitor is listed as VESA DisplayHDR 400. GIGABYTE’s store description also says it supports FreeSync Premium and is G-SYNC Compatible. Those feature labels do not establish how HDR looks in practice or how well variable refresh performs on a particular system; independent exact-model tests are not established here.

Who should consider it?
- QHD gamers: The 200 Hz specification is appealing if your computer and chosen connection can deliver the refresh rate you want. Treat the 210 Hz overclock and 1 ms GTG figures as specifications rather than verified performance.
- People switching between computers: The listed KVM and USB hub may simplify a shared desk setup; check the guide and required USB connections for your arrangement.
- Users who need laptop charging through one cable: The USB-C connection supports Alternate Mode, but its listed power delivery is up to 18 W, so it may not meet your laptop’s charging needs.
- HDR or color-critical buyers: The published HDR and gamut figures alone do not establish real-world HDR quality, color accuracy or calibration. Look for independent tests of this exact model before relying on it for those requirements.
Price and purchase checks
A reliable value verdict requires the price and terms where you plan to buy: the available information does not establish current regional pricing, stock, warranty terms or return policy. Confirm the listing is specifically for the M27Q2 QD ICE, then check those local details and verify that its ports and supported refresh mode suit your GPU or laptop.
