Yes—at its reported $44.90 MSRP, the Cooler Master Q300L V3 is a strong value for a compact MicroATX build if you are comfortable adding front intake cooling when needed. It includes tempered glass, a fast front USB-C port and flexible fan and radiator mounts, but it comes with only one fan, and front cooling can reduce graphics-card clearance. Tom’s Hardware reported the MSRP in its August 24, 2026 review; check current listings for today’s price.

What the Q300L V3 is—and what it is not

The Q300L V3 is the Lite Version in Cooler Master’s QUBE product family. It is a compact case for Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboards, with mesh and steel construction, a tempered-glass side panel, and black or white finishes. The black model identifier is Q300LV3-KGNN-S00; the white is Q300LV3-WGNN-S00. It is a distinct product from the older MasterBox Q300L and from the default QUBE 340.

Tom’s Hardware’s Joe Shields called it the Best Budget Micro ATX chassis on the publication’s Best Cases list. That is the reviewer’s editorial judgment, not a guarantee that it is the best fit for every build.

Is it a good value at the reported price?

Tom’s Hardware reported a $44.90 MSRP and described sub-$40 pricing at the time of publication. Those are review-period figures, not a live quote: retailer price snapshots differed when the review page was retrieved. Check the current price and availability before buying. The practical value also depends on whether you need to buy additional fans and whether the case fits your existing components.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

For the price, the combination of a glass side panel, repositionable I/O, 20 Gbps USB-C and broad mounting options is attractive. But the case is not a complete airflow setup out of the box: only one rear exhaust fan is included, with no front intake fan.

Will your parts fit?

The manufacturer lists external dimensions of 386.1 × 230 × 388.5 mm including protrusions (374 × 230 × 374 mm excluding them), and a volume of 34.5 L including protrusions (32.17 L excluding them). The case has four expansion slots. Tom’s Hardware’s specifications say cards up to 3.5 slots can be accommodated, but slot width alone does not establish clearance for a particular graphics card.

Component or feature Published specification Fit consideration
Motherboard Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX Back-connect motherboards are not supported, according to Tom’s Hardware’s specifications table.
CPU cooler Up to 178 mm tall Check the cooler’s full height against this limit.
Graphics card Up to 366 mm without a front fan A front fan or radiator uses space, so the published maximum is not a universal fit guarantee.
Power supply ATX; up to 200 mm long without a bottom fan, or 140 mm with one installed Allow for the reduced length limit if you plan to use a bottom fan.
Drive mounting Tom’s Hardware lists one 3.5-inch drive or two 2.5-inch drives Cooler Master’s QUBE family page separately lists one 3.5-inch position, one 3.5/2.5-inch combo position and two 2.5-inch positions (maximum four). Confirm the exact Q300L V3 manual if drive capacity is decisive.

Graphics-card clearance deserves particular attention. In its test build, Tom’s Hardware found the Asus TUF RTX 4080 too long and used the shorter RTX 4080 Founders Edition instead. A front fan or radiator can further reduce the available length. Top-mounted fans or a radiator can also overhang the motherboard’s top edge and its VRM heatsink area.

What cooling does it support, and what is included?

Cooler Master lists mounting for two 120 or 140 mm fans at the front and top, and one 120 or 140 mm fan at the bottom and rear. Radiator support is listed as 120 or 240 mm at the front and top, and 120 mm at the rear. The included fan is a 140 mm non-ARGB rear exhaust; there is no front intake fan.

  • What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.

That arrangement is usable for a modest build, but the single included fan leaves less airflow capacity than a multi-fan configuration. If your CPU and GPU produce substantial heat, budget for additional case fans and check how a front fan or radiator changes GPU clearance. The available review does not establish a particular add-on fan as the best choice.

How did it perform in Tom’s Hardware’s tests?

Tom’s Hardware tested with an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE and the included case fan plus an added Cooler Master MasterFan M120 when needed. The test stressed CPU and GPU together for 30 minutes, idled for 15 minutes, then tested with fans at 100%. The reviewer noted that the test motherboard limited power to around 210 W, and used an RTX 4080 Founders Edition because the Asus TUF RTX 4080 was too long.

Test condition reported by Tom’s Hardware (2026) Reported result How to interpret it
Noise-normalized configuration, two fans About 87°C CPU and 74°C GPU averages The reviewer said this system drew less power than other test systems; results are not directly comparable with those other systems.
Fans at maximum speed, stated test setup 81°C CPU and 63°C GPU averages These are measurements from the named test build and method, not expected temperatures for every PC.
Maximum fan speed, included fan plus added MasterFan M120 at one meter About 55 dBA The reviewer found the included 140 mm fan particularly audible at its 1,400 RPM maximum.

The reviewer described noise-normalized performance at slower fan speeds as fine, while noting that more fan capacity could improve airflow. The temperature and noise figures should be treated as results from this particular test configuration, not as guarantees for a different processor, graphics card, power limit or fan curve.

What are the main strengths and trade-offs?

Strengths Trade-offs
Reported $44.90 MSRP; tempered-glass side; 20 Gbps USB-C; adjustable I/O placement; vertical or horizontal orientation; broad fan and radiator mounting; tall cooler and long-GPU support where the cooling layout permits; reviewer found it easy to build in. One rear fan included and no front intake; maximum-speed fan noise; front cooling reduces GPU clearance; no separate PSU shroud; cable openings lack grommets; reviewer wanted Velcro tie-downs; magnetic top and front filters can shift slightly when touched.

Who should buy it?

The Q300L V3 makes the most sense for a cost-conscious MicroATX or Mini-ITX builder who values the front USB-C port, glass panel and flexible placement, and who will verify component fit before ordering. It is less suitable for someone expecting multiple quiet fans in the box, a fully concealed PSU and cables, or guaranteed clearance for a long graphics card with front cooling installed.

  • Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.

Before choosing it, compare the complete cost of the case and any extra fans with alternatives you are considering. Check your graphics-card length against the planned front cooling, PSU length if using a bottom fan, drive needs, top radiator clearance, and the noise level you expect from your fan curve. The case has a two-year warranty; confirm coverage terms for your region with the seller or manufacturer.
