The BLANCO BDW8345X is a discontinued 60 cm freestanding dishwasher specified for 15 place settings, eight programs and a 42 dBA noise level. Those published figures describe its design, not independently verified performance: CHOICE’s public listing does not show its member-only test results. Owner feedback is mixed, and current stock has not been verified, so treat this as an assessment of the model’s documented features rather than a recommendation to buy a particular listing.
What the BDW8345X offers
BLANCO’s specification sheet lists a 60 cm freestanding format, capacity for 15 place settings and eight wash programs. It also lists a 3-star energy rating and 4.5-star water rating. These are manufacturer specifications; the retrieved documents do not state when they were published.
| Specification | Published figure | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Type and capacity | Freestanding; 15 place settings | BLANCO specification sheet; publication year not stated |
| Dimensions | 850 × 598 × 598 mm (H × W × D) | BLANCO specification sheet; the manual gives 820 mm height without the removable worktop |
| Noise | 42 dBA | BLANCO specification sheet; publication year not stated |
| Energy and water ratings | 3-star energy; 4.5-star water | BLANCO specification sheet; publication year not stated |
| Claimed annual energy use | 352 kWh | CHOICE listing; publication year not stated |
| Water use | 13.5 L | CHOICE listing; publication year not stated |
| Water use | 13.3 L per cycle | Andoo product listing; publication year not stated |
The water-use figures differ: CHOICE lists 13.5 L, while Andoo lists 13.3 L per cycle. The available pages do not establish why they differ, so they should not be treated as interchangeable or silently combined.
Which programs and rack features are listed?
The BLANCO specification sheet lists these eight programs and durations or temperature ranges:

How well does it wash and dry?
CHOICE marks the BDW8345X as discontinued, but its public model page does not disclose the Expert Rating or results for washing, drying, energy, water, noise or cycle time; those metrics are member-only. The public listing therefore does not support a claim that CHOICE tested the model favorably or poorly. Without those results, the published specifications cannot establish real-world cleaning or drying performance.

The listed dimensions are 850 mm high, 598 mm wide and 598 mm deep. The manual lists a height of 820 mm with the removable worktop removed. BLANCO’s specification sheet advises checking the physical appliance dimensions before measuring for installation or making cut-outs, so do not rely on nominal measurements alone.

It recommends a cold-water supply and specifies an inlet-pressure range of 0.03–1.0 MPa and a maximum inlet-hose length of 1.1 m. Confirm the rating label and manual for the individual appliance before connecting it; the manual says the producer may amend design and technical specifications.
Is the BDW8345X still available, and what about warranty?
CHOICE labels the model discontinued. That does not establish whether new, used or refurbished units are currently for sale; availability and condition need to be confirmed with the seller for any specific listing.

The BLANCO specification sheet lists two years of parts and labour under BLANCOcare and a five-year limited warranty covering the wash-pump motor part only. Warranty applicability depends on the appliance’s market and sale date, so verify the terms that apply to the particular unit. The manual describes a 10-year period during which the producer is required to keep spare parts to fulfil usage functions; this does not confirm that parts are currently in stock.

Verdict: a feature-rich specification, but limited performance evidence
The BDW8345X’s documented appeal is its stated 15-place capacity, flexible rack options, multiple cycle choices and 42 dBA noise specification. The main buying uncertainties are more consequential: independent wash-and-dry results are not publicly visible on CHOICE, owner reviews are mixed, the model is marked discontinued, and water-use listings do not match exactly. Consider a specific unit only after checking its condition, physical fit, applicable warranty and actual availability.
