The BenQ PD2732U is a strong fit for designers, photographers and other creatives who need a 27-inch 4K display with broad colour coverage and a well-connected desk setup. Its 60 Hz refresh rate and modest SDR brightness in Creative Bloq’s test make it less compelling for high-refresh gaming or bright-room work. The key distinction: BenQ’s published colour specifications are not the same as independent measurements of the review sample.
What makes the PD2732U a creative-work monitor?
BenQ positions the PD2732U for work that moves between photography, branding, print, video and digital output. It is a 27-inch IPS display with a 3840 × 2160 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. That combination provides a high-resolution workspace, but it does not offer the smoother motion of a high-refresh display.
BenQ lists a factory calibration report, an average Delta E of ≤2, Calman Verified status and Pantone Validated status. These are manufacturer-published specifications and claims, not measurements independently established by the review cited below. They are useful indicators of the monitor’s intended workflow, but they do not remove the need to manage colour across your computer, applications and output devices.

How do its colour claims compare with review measurements?
BenQ publishes coverage figures of 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, 99% Adobe RGB and 99% P3. In Creative Bloq’s review, Ian Evenden measured the tested screen in Display P3 mode at 100% sRGB, 87% Adobe RGB and 97% P3. The figures come from different sources and should not be treated as interchangeable: the review results describe its test and mode, while BenQ’s figures are the manufacturer’s specifications.
#1 Best Overall
- ACCURATE & CONSISTENT COLORS: Factory-calibrated with 99% Adobe RGB/Display P3, 100% sRGB/Rec.709, Delta E ≤ 2, AQCOLOR Pilot software, Nano Matte Black Panel, Calman Verified and Pantone Validated.
- UNIFORMITY CALIBRATION: Uneven color and brightness can affect visual judgment. BenQ's full-panel calibration ensures consistency across the display, helping you proof accurately and reduce rework.
- Mac-READY WORKSTATION: M-book mode matches Mac colors, iKeyboard Control syncs brightness & volume with Mac keyboard and iDevice Color Sync previews how content appears across your Apple devices.
- THUNDERBOLT 4 & FLEXIBLE CONNECTIVITY: Up to 90W charging, 40Gbps transfers and daisy chain support for dual 4K displays via Thunderbolt 4. Built-in KVM streamlines workflows.
- ERGONOMIC DESIGN & CREATOR-READY FEATURES: Wireless Hotkey Puck, Display Pilot 2, plus pivot, swivel, tilt, and height adjustment for personalized comfort and productivity.
For a workflow involving print or photography, Adobe RGB coverage may matter; video and digital projects may instead prioritize Rec.709 or P3, depending on the delivery target. Match the monitor mode and application settings to the output specification rather than assuming one gamut figure guarantees accuracy throughout a workflow.
What brightness can you expect?
BenQ specifies 400 nits typical brightness and supports HDR10 and HLG. In Creative Bloq’s test, SDR brightness reached 200 nits; the reviewer reports that HDR mode unlocked the stated 400-nit brightness. Those are review findings for that test, not a universal brightness guarantee for every mode or setup.

- [Show Mac Colors] Calibrated for MacBook with BenQ’s exclusive color tuning, offering a vibrant P3 wide color gamut for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
- [Expand MacBook with USB-C] Connect and expand your MacBook display with a single USB-C cable.
- [Integrated MacBook Controls] Adjust brightness and volume directly from your MacBook keyboard.
- [Versatile Connectivity] 2 HDMI and 2 USB-C ports—The dual USB-C ports deliver 90W for your MacBook, and 15W to charge your iPad or iPhone.
- [Adjustable Stand] Adjust height, tilt, swivel, and pivot for maximum comfort.
The same review found a few percentage points of brightness variation at full brightness. At 50% brightness, variation was under one percent in most tested areas, with the top-right corner as an exception. If you rely on consistent brightness across the panel, this is a relevant qualification alongside BenQ’s description of full-panel calibration for colour and brightness uniformity.
Does it suit a laptop-based desk?
The PD2732U’s connection options are a practical strength for a creative desk built around a laptop. Its Thunderbolt 4 input supplies up to 90 W of power delivery, allowing a compatible laptop to receive power over the monitor connection. BenQ also lists Thunderbolt 4 out with 15 W power delivery, a USB-C upstream data port, three USB-A downstream ports and one USB-C downstream port. The monitor includes KVM support and daisy chaining.

How adjustable is the monitor?
The stand supports 115 mm of height adjustment, tilt from -5° to 20°, swivel 15° in either direction and 90° pivot. BenQ also lists a 100 × 100 mm VESA mount, giving you the option of a compatible arm or wall mount. Signal cables listed as included may vary by region.

Who should consider it—and who should look elsewhere?
It makes sense for colour-conscious creative work
The strongest case is for someone who values a high-resolution IPS panel, broad colour coverage, calibration-oriented features and integrated laptop connectivity. Creative Bloq’s review describes it as a sensible specialist choice for graphic designers and others concerned with accurate colour, particularly when high refresh rates are not a priority.
Its trade-offs matter for mixed-use desks
- Gaming and motion: The 60 Hz refresh rate is a limitation if smooth, high-refresh gameplay is important.
- Bright environments: The review’s 200-nit SDR result may not suit buyers who need a bright SDR image; the 400-nit figure is BenQ’s typical specification and the review’s HDR result.
- Value: Creative Bloq cautions that the price may be difficult to justify when larger or faster OLED options are available for a similar price. The review does not provide enough detail for a model-by-model comparison.
What did it cost at review time?
Creative Bloq’s 6 October 2026 review page listed £649.97 at Amazon UK and £649 at Wex, and its price discussion gave £649.99 / $699.99. These are dated review-page snapshots, not current pricing. Check regional availability and the seller’s listing before buying.
