The Flydone Y18 PRO is listed at $999.99, with a claimed 5,000 W peak motor, 38 mph top speed and 52 V, 20 Ah LFP battery. Those are seller specifications, not independently verified test results. It may suit a buyer seeking a low-cost, cruiser-style pit bike for off-road use, but the available evidence does not establish its real-world speed, range, sustained power, reliability or after-sale support.
What the Y18 PRO listing says you get
Flydone’s product page lists the Y18 PRO at $999.99; price and stock may change. Its August 2026 announcement describes the vehicle as a cruiser-style pit bike, not a pure dirt bike or road commuter. That distinction matters: the relaxed seating position and advertised fat tires suggest a different use and riding feel from a conventional motocross bike.

Peak power is not continuous power
Flydone labels the motor figure as 5,000 W peak but does not publish a continuous or rated wattage value or explain how the peak was measured. Peak and continuous ratings are not interchangeable: a peak figure alone cannot tell you how much output the motor can sustain during a long climb or extended ride. The stated 380 N·m torque likewise has no accompanying test method.

Speed and range depend on test conditions
The 38 mph top speed and 80+ mile range are seller claims. The reviewed sources do not report independent tests or conditions such as rider load, terrain, speed, temperature or battery reserve. Treat them as figures to ask Flydone about, not as guaranteed riding outcomes. The same caveat applies to the claimed 35-degree climbing ability and 4,000+ charge cycles.
The Inventory’s editorial assessment also flags the lack of independent performance testing and unresolved questions about battery documentation, parts and technical support; it is not proof that this particular bike has a specific defect or failure rate. ShopAbunda displays customer-review excerpts, but the anecdotes conflict and are not a representative owner survey or verified performance test.

Is this a good fit for your riding?
The seller’s cruiser-style pit-bike description is more informative than the broad “electric dirt bike” label alone. Before ordering, compare the published fit and load figures with the intended rider, and consider the kind of terrain and riding position you want. The listing gives a 26-inch seat height, a 330 lb maximum load and a suggested rider-height range of 5 ft 3 in to 5 ft 11 in, but those figures do not independently establish comfort or suitability for a particular rider.
Do not treat the listed suspension, brakes or fat tires as proof of motocross capability. The available sources do not provide independent evaluations of handling, braking distance, hill performance or durability.

What to verify before you buy
- Get the battery details in writing. Confirm the pack’s 52 V and 20 Ah markings, charger specifications and charge time. Ask whether the battery is removable, whether a replacement is available, and what it costs. Flydone’s listing states capacity, but independent capacity testing and replacement support are not established.
- Ask how performance claims were measured. Confirm whether the 5,000 W figure is peak or continuous—the listing calls it peak—and request test conditions for the 38 mph speed and 80+ mile range claims. No independent results were found in the reviewed sources.
- Clarify support and returns. Before paying, obtain the warranty length and exclusions, claims process, return-shipping responsibility, owner’s manual, parts list and written confirmation that key replacement parts can be supplied. The reviewed sources do not establish these terms.
- Check fit and intended terrain. Compare the stated seat height, rider-height guidance and load limit against the rider and intended use. Decide whether the maker’s cruiser/pit-bike positioning matches what you mean by a dirt bike.
- Check where you can ride it. Confirm the rules for your jurisdiction and intended trails or roads, and ask the seller for the vehicle’s documentation. Do not infer legality from the “e-bike” label, lights or turn signals.
Is the Y18 PRO street legal?
Its legal classification cannot be determined from the marketing label alone, and it varies by jurisdiction. In a federal interpretation, NHTSA described a low-speed electric bicycle as having fully operable pedals, a motor under 750 W and a maximum speed under 20 mph under the specified test condition; the agency also noted that state laws apply. The Y18 PRO listing instead advertises 5,000 W peak and 38 mph, so the available information does not establish that this configuration qualifies as a standard low-speed electric bicycle.
That federal interpretation is not a ruling on the Y18 PRO or a complete guide to current local rules. The seller markets the model for off-road use. Check the exact rules for your state or country, the place you plan to ride, and any documentation or registration requirements with the seller. The presence of lights does not establish that it is legal on public roads.

How to compare it with another electric dirt bike
Do not compare one bike’s peak wattage with another’s continuous rating as if they measured the same thing. For a useful comparison, look for equivalent, documented information across these areas:
