For a phone player who wants a substantial solo farming and life-simulation game, Stardew Valley can be a strong value. The US Google Play listing showed $4.99 and no in-app purchases when checked, but that price is not universal. The main trade-off is important: the current Android and US iOS listings both say multiplayer is not supported.
What you get beyond running a farm
Stardew Valley’s mobile listing describes a game built around several connected activities. You develop and customize a farm, grow seasonal crops, raise animals, and turn produce into artisan goods. Away from the fields, you can build relationships with townspeople, attend festivals, complete quests, explore caves, fish, forage, and craft.
That mix is what makes the price easier to justify than a game focused on crop management alone: farm work is one part of a broader single-player routine, with different activities to pursue as your farm and relationships develop.

ConcernedApe’s Google Play listing advertises “50+ hours of gameplay content.” That is publisher-provided promotional information, not an independently measured completion time or a promise that every player will spend that long. Your playtime will depend on how much of the game you choose to explore.

What does Stardew Valley cost on a phone?
The US Google Play listing showed $4.99 and no in-app purchases when checked. Treat that as a US Android storefront price observed at that time, not a guaranteed price everywhere: prices and discounts can vary by region and change over time. Check your local Google Play listing before buying.
A US iOS listing is available, but its current price was not established here. Check the Apple App Store listing for the price in your storefront.

How do the mobile controls work?
The Android listing names three control options: touch-screen controls, a virtual joystick, and an external controller. It also describes auto-select for tools and auto-attack in mines. The iOS listing describes mobile controls and autosave as well. These are listed features, not a guarantee that every control style or accessory will suit every player.

Does Stardew Valley mobile have multiplayer?
No multiplayer functionality is supported according to the current Google Play and US App Store descriptions. The mobile versions are therefore best approached as single-player games if you are choosing based on the storefront information. Do not assume co-op is available because of reports about hidden or experimental access.
Is the phone version the same as PC or console?
The current listings show that 1.6-era content is represented on mobile: Google Play says its June 26, 2026 update included various bug fixes for the 1.6 update, and the iOS listing includes 1.6 story content. That does not establish complete feature parity with PC or console. If a specific platform feature matters to you, verify its availability for your device rather than assuming the versions match.

It is a reasonable purchase to consider if you want a portable, largely solo game with farming, exploration, relationships, and other activities, and you are comfortable with mobile controls. Autosave and the listed Android control choices are useful phone-oriented features; the advertised 50+ hours gives a sense of the publisher’s stated scope, not a guaranteed playtime.
