No. Good Lock is not guaranteed to be available on every Galaxy phone. Samsung’s Galaxy Store listing gives Android 8.0 or later as the app baseline and says Good Lock version 3.X.X supports One UI 4.0 and later, but it also warns that some devices may not be supported. Samsung says availability can vary with the phone model, installed software and Galaxy Store region.
What Samsung’s official listing actually establishes
The Galaxy Store listing describes Good Lock as a customization app for Samsung Galaxy devices. Its stated operating-system baseline is Android 8.0 or higher. That number is a prerequisite shown by the listing, not a promise that every Galaxy phone running Android 8.0 or newer will receive the app.
The same listing includes an explicit qualification that some devices may not be supported. That warning is important because it prevents the Android requirement from being read as a complete compatibility list.
Android 8.0 or later is the published baseline
If a phone is below Android 8.0, it is outside the baseline stated in the Galaxy Store listing. A phone that meets or exceeds Android 8.0 has passed only that one condition; Samsung still allows for model-specific exceptions.

Good Lock 3.X.X adds a One UI condition
Samsung’s listing says Good Lock version 3.X.X supports devices using One UI 4.0 and later. This identifies the One UI generation expected by that app series. It does not override the listing’s warning about unsupported devices, nor does it establish that every One UI 4.0-or-newer model in every market will show the app.
Samsung does not promise universal Galaxy coverage
Samsung support information says Good Lock availability can vary by device and software version. Samsung Ukraine’s guidance is even more direct: Good Lock is not supported on all models, and plugin availability depends on the device model and region.
“Availability of Good Lock applications may vary by device & software version.”

That sentence appears in Samsung’s official India support article. It describes availability as variable rather than universal, so the Galaxy name alone cannot answer whether a particular handset can use Good Lock.
The four compatibility variables that matter
When you are checking a phone, separate the Good Lock app itself from the individual customization plugins. Samsung identifies the phone, its software and the regional store context as relevant factors.

How to check whether your Galaxy phone can use Good Lock
Samsung’s India support guidance gives the most practical test: check the Galaxy Store on the phone in question. This tests the actual model, software state and store region together.
- Open Galaxy Store on the specific Galaxy phone. Do not rely on a search performed on another handset, because availability can differ by model and region.
- Search for “Good Lock.” Use the Galaxy Store search rather than assuming that a Galaxy phone automatically includes the app.
- Read the result shown for that phone. If the official Good Lock listing is offered, the store is indicating that the app is available in that device and account context at that time.
- Install from the Galaxy Store result. Samsung’s support article directs users to install it if the result is available.
- Check the plugins separately. After the main app is available, look at the modules presented for that phone. Samsung says plugin availability can vary by model and region, so an app installation is not a guarantee that every module will appear.
The store result is a practical, current check; it is more useful than a general statement that a phone is part of the Galaxy range.

Why you cannot find Good Lock in Galaxy Store
An absent result tells you that Good Lock is not being offered in that Galaxy Store context, but Samsung’s published pages do not provide a complete device-by-country compatibility matrix. They therefore do not let you identify one certain cause from the missing listing alone.
The phone may be an unsupported model
Samsung explicitly says some devices are not supported. This is the clearest explanation when a newer-looking Galaxy handset still lacks the listing: the model itself may be excluded even though it is a Samsung phone.
The installed software may not meet the listing baseline
Compare the phone’s Android and One UI versions with the values Samsung publishes. Android below 8.0 falls below the stated app baseline. Good Lock 3.X.X is described for One UI 4.0 and later. Meeting those values still does not remove model or regional exceptions.

The Galaxy Store region may differ
Samsung says availability varies by region and that plugins can be region-dependent. A phone purchased in one market, a device currently used in another, or a Galaxy Store account associated with a different market can therefore produce a different result. The official guidance does not specify every country where Good Lock is offered.

The app may be available while a plugin is not
Good Lock is a main customization app with separate applications or modules. Samsung’s regional support guidance specifically says plugin availability depends on model and region. If the main listing installs but a desired module is absent, that is a separate compatibility outcome, not proof that the whole app failed.
App availability and plugin availability are different questions
“Can my phone install Good Lock?” and “Can my phone use every Good Lock module?” require separate answers. The Galaxy Store result answers the first question for the current phone and store context. The set of modules shown after installation answers only which components Samsung is making available there.
This distinction matters when comparing reports from owners of other Galaxy phones. One person may have the main app but not a particular plugin, while another may not see Good Lock at all. Samsung’s statements about model, software and region variation can account for both outcomes without either report proving universal compatibility.
How current is the compatibility information?
The Galaxy Store listing consulted for this explanation showed Good Lock version 3.0.16.6, dated July 14, 2026. Store listings can change as Samsung updates the app or adjusts supported devices, so treat that version and date as a time-specific reference rather than a permanent promise.

The published Android 8.0 and One UI 4.0 figures are compatibility baselines for the stated app versions, not statistics about how many Galaxy phones qualify. Samsung’s support pages do not list every supported model or country, so a definitive universal roster cannot be inferred from them.

“Every Samsung phone is a Galaxy phone, so every one must have Good Lock.”
Galaxy branding identifies the product family, not the Good Lock eligibility of a specific model. Samsung expressly says the app is not supported on all models.
“Android 8.0 means the app must be installable.”
Android 8.0 or later is the listing’s baseline, while the same listing preserves device exceptions. It is a necessary reference point, not a universal guarantee.
“One UI 4.0 means all Good Lock features will work.”
The One UI statement applies to Good Lock version 3.X.X support. Samsung separately warns that device and plugin availability can vary, so a compatible One UI generation does not promise every feature.

Plugin distribution is narrower than app availability. The main app and an individual module can have different results on the same phone.

“A result from another country proves what my phone should show.”
Samsung identifies region as a source of variation. Only the Galaxy Store result on your own phone reflects your current store context.
A practical decision checklist
- Identify the exact Galaxy phone model, not just the Galaxy series name.
- Check the installed Android release against the Android 8.0 baseline in the listing.
- Check the installed One UI generation against the One UI 4.0-and-later description for Good Lock 3.X.X.
- Open Galaxy Store on that phone and search for Good Lock.
- If the listing appears, install it from Galaxy Store and then inspect the available plugins.
- If the listing does not appear, treat the result as an availability issue for that model, software state or region; Samsung’s public pages do not identify the exact cause in every case.
- Do not assume that changing to another Galaxy phone, country or software release will produce the same plugin set without checking that device’s own Galaxy Store result.
What can you conclude before buying or updating a phone?
You can use Samsung’s published baselines to rule out some cases, but you cannot use them to certify every model. A phone below Android 8.0 is below the stated baseline. A phone on One UI 4.0 or later aligns with the Good Lock 3.X.X software description. Neither fact replaces the model-and-region check in Galaxy Store.
For a purchase decision, ask for the exact model and inspect Good Lock availability on that model in the relevant market. For an existing phone, the quickest reliable answer is the search result shown by Galaxy Store on the handset itself. If the app appears, check the specific plugins you need rather than assuming the entire Good Lock catalog is included.

Samsung Good Lock is not available on every Galaxy phone. Android 8.0 or later and, for Good Lock 3.X.X, One UI 4.0 or later are the published software baselines, but Samsung still excludes some devices and varies app or plugin availability by model, software version and region. Search for Good Lock in Galaxy Store on the exact phone you plan to use; that result is the most practical compatibility test.
