Phantom Blade Zero is announced for Windows PC and PlayStation 5, with S-GAME’s current global release date set for October 29, 2026. PC players will be able to use Steam or the Epic Games Store. The PlayStation 5 version is listed with PS5 Pro enhancement and DualSense features. Xbox has not been announced in the official platform information reviewed, but that is not the same as a permanent confirmation that it will never arrive on Xbox.

Which platforms is Phantom Blade Zero coming to?

S-GAME’s launch-platform announcement names three destinations: PlayStation 5, Steam on PC, and the Epic Games Store on PC. Those are the platforms and storefronts currently identified in the official information available for the game.

PC: Steam and Epic Games Store

The PC release is a Windows version rather than a separate console-style edition. S-GAME’s announcement identifies both Steam and the Epic Games Store, giving PC buyers a choice of storefront. Steam’s listing specifies support for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 and publishes minimum hardware requirements.

Steam also describes the game as a single-player action RPG. Its minimum-target note describes 1080p output at 30 frames per second with upscaling enabled, and the listing requires installation on an SSD. Those details describe the published minimum target, not a guarantee that every PC will deliver identical performance.

PlayStation 5

Phantom Blade Zero is listed for PlayStation 5 on the PlayStation Store. The store page identifies PS5 Pro enhancement and support for DualSense wireless-controller vibration and trigger effects. The game is presented as a one-player experience.

The PlayStation listing includes Standard and Digital Deluxe editions. At the time the US store page was checked, the displayed prices were $59.99 for Standard and $69.99 for Digital Deluxe. PlayStation prices, taxes, regional currency conversions, promotions and edition contents can change, so treat those figures as the US listings seen at that time rather than a permanent worldwide price.

Xbox: no announced version in the official listings reviewed

The S-GAME platform announcement, PlayStation listing and Steam information reviewed name PS5 and PC storefronts but do not identify an Xbox version. The accurate answer is therefore that Xbox has not been announced in the official platform information reviewed.

That wording matters. An absent Xbox listing does not prove that an Xbox edition is permanently ruled out; it only describes what S-GAME has officially identified in the sources available for this article. There is no Xbox release date, preorder listing or Xbox-specific feature information to report at present.

When does Phantom Blade Zero release?

S-GAME’s current global date is October 29, 2026. The same date appears in the PlayStation information associated with the game. On PlayStation Blog, S-GAME founder and CEO Soulframe Liang wrote: “Until then, Phantom Blade Zero launches on October 29, 2026, and is available to pre-order now on PlayStation 5.”

Why the date changed

The game was previously scheduled for September 9, 2026. S-GAME moved the launch to October 29, 2026, saying the extra time was needed for improvements and polish. In the developer letter, Soulframe, identified there as S-GAME CEO and creator of Phantom Blade Zero, wrote that the team did not want to release the game while there was still “an opportunity to take it one step further.”

This is a developer-stated quality and polish delay, not an announcement of a new platform. The change affects the timing of the already announced PC and PS5 versions.

Why Steam may show October 28

A regional Steam page accessed during the platform check displayed October 28, 2026, one day earlier than S-GAME’s global announcement and the PlayStation date. The Steam page is a regional storefront view, and the official material reviewed does not explain whether the difference reflects a local release-time conversion or another storefront setting.

Use October 29, 2026, as the global date announced by S-GAME. If your Steam page shows October 28, check the store’s regional settings and the launch countdown closer to release rather than assuming that the developer has announced two separate worldwide launches.

What is included on PS5?

Standard and Digital Deluxe editions

The US PlayStation Store lists two editions: Standard and Digital Deluxe. The displayed US prices were $59.99 and $69.99 respectively when the page was checked. The listing’s edition names and prices are not a guarantee that every country will receive the same price structure, nor do they establish that the displayed amounts will remain unchanged through launch.

Both editions are associated with the PS5 release. The store page also identifies PS5 Pro enhancement, so owners of Sony’s higher-performance PS5 model can expect a version marked for that hardware. The supplied official information does not provide a complete technical breakdown of the PS5 Pro modes or the individual Digital Deluxe bonuses, so those details should be checked on the live store page before buying.

DualSense support

PlayStation’s listing specifies DualSense vibration and trigger-effect support. These are console features rather than a requirement to purchase a particular accessory: the game is playable on PS5 with the standard controller supplied with the console. If you use another compatible controller, the exact feel and feature support may differ from the official DualSense implementation.

PC requirements and expected target

Steam publishes the following minimum requirements for the Windows version. They are the requirements shown on the listing checked for this article; S-GAME or Steam may revise them as development continues.

Requirement Published minimum
Operating system 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11
Processor Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Memory 16 GB RAM
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 with 6 GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB VRAM
Storage SSD installation required
Stated performance target 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling enabled

What these requirements mean in practice

  • Windows version: A 64-bit installation is required; older 32-bit Windows installations do not meet the listed operating-system requirement.
  • CPU: The i7-8700K and Ryzen 5 3600 are the published minimum processor examples. A newer chip is not automatically faster in every game, so check independent performance testing after launch if you are targeting higher frame rates.
  • RAM: The minimum is 16 GB. Leave additional memory available for Windows and background applications rather than treating all 16 GB as free game memory.
  • GPU: The listed GTX 1660 and RX 5500 XT classes include dedicated video memory requirements of 6 GB and 8 GB respectively. Integrated graphics are not listed as supported minimum hardware.
  • SSD: Installing on a solid-state drive is mandatory according to Steam. An SSD requirement is different from a recommendation; a mechanical hard drive does not satisfy the published specification.
  • Upscaling: Steam’s 1080p/30 FPS note assumes upscaling is enabled. The listing does not establish a native-resolution 30 FPS target or a guaranteed 60 FPS mode.

The material available does not include recommended PC specifications, final download size, supported upscaling technologies, ray-tracing requirements or an official frame-rate table. Anyone planning a new build should therefore avoid treating the minimum list as a promise of high-refresh-rate performance.

Storefront Steam or Epic Games Store PlayStation Store
Hardware threshold At least the published CPU, GPU, 16 GB RAM and SSD requirements PS5 console; PS5 Pro enhancement is listed

Player count Single-player listing One-player listing
Confirmed Xbox alternative No No; Xbox is not named in the reviewed platform information

Choose PC if your system already meets the listing

PC is the practical option if you own a Windows machine at or above the published minimum and prefer Steam or the Epic Games Store. It also leaves room for future graphics settings and community troubleshooting, although the official material does not promise specific performance above the 1080p/30 FPS upscaling target.

Choose PS5 for a fixed hardware target

PS5 avoids the component-by-component compatibility question. The console listing also confirms DualSense effects and a PS5 Pro-enhanced version. This is the simpler path if you do not want to verify Windows versions, processor tiers, graphics memory and SSD installation.

How to check your PC before buying

  1. Confirm Windows: Verify that the computer runs 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  2. Check the processor: Compare your CPU model with the Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 minimum examples.
  3. Check memory: Confirm that the system has at least 16 GB of RAM.
  4. Identify the graphics card: Compare it with the GTX 1660 6 GB or RX 5500 XT 8 GB minimum examples, including dedicated VRAM.
  5. Verify the installation drive: Make sure the drive selected for the game is an SSD.
  6. Recheck Steam before launch: Open the live Phantom Blade Zero listing for any revised requirements, storage figure or regional release-time information.

Meeting the minimum list does not establish a fixed frame rate in every scene. Background applications, driver versions, thermal limits and game updates can all affect results, so treat the published figures as a compatibility baseline.

What kind of game is it?

PlayStation’s official description presents Phantom Blade Zero as a fusion of classic wuxia storytelling and action powered by Unreal Engine 5. Steam categorizes it as an action RPG and lists it as single-player. Those labels describe how the official stores present the title; they are not a promise of a particular combat system, progression model or multiplayer feature beyond the one-player listing.

What the wishlist milestone does—and does not—tell you

S-GAME reported more than 1,000,000 wishlists in 2025, reaching that milestone 15 days after opening wishlists on December 12, 2025. This is a publisher-reported interest metric, not a sales total, preorder count or guarantee of launch performance. It provides context for attention around the game but does not change the announced platforms or release date.

Keeping the release information current

Official pages were checked on October 13, 2026. Release dates, regional storefront displays, preorder availability, prices, edition contents and PC requirements can change, especially close to launch. For the most reliable final check, compare S-GAME’s latest announcement with the live PlayStation Store and Steam pages for your country. The global date remains October 29, 2026 in the current developer and PlayStation information, while a regional Steam page may continue to display October 28.
