No official release date for a game called Mass Effect: Dreadnought is established by BioWare’s latest statement covered here. In a November 7, 2025 N7 Day post, executive producer Mike Gamble confirmed that the next Mass Effect game is in development, but did not name it Dreadnought or announce a March 2027 launch.
What BioWare has officially confirmed
In its November 7, 2025 N7 Day update, BioWare executive producer Mike Gamble wrote that “the next Mass Effect game is in development” and that EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in the universe.

That confirms development of a next game, but the post does not give a release window or date. It also does not identify the game as Mass Effect: Dreadnought. The claim that this title officially releases in March 2027 is therefore unconfirmed by that official statement.
Why March 2027 may be confused with an existing game
EA’s Mass Effect: Andromeda page lists a release date of March 21, 2017. That date belongs to the earlier game, not to a new Mass Effect release in 2027.
#1 Best Overall
- One person is all that stands between humanity and the greatest threat it’s ever faced.
- Relive the legend of Commander Shepard in the highly acclaimed Mass Effect trilogy with the Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
- Includes single-player base content and over 40 DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, including promo weapons, armors, and packs - remastered and optimized for 4k Ultra HD.
What EA’s game catalog shows
EA’s Mass Effect catalog lists existing releases, including Mass Effect Legendary Edition and Mass Effect: Andromeda. It does not list Dreadnought. The catalog also links to the BioWare Gear Store, but that is a merchandise destination, not evidence of a game or products tied to the alleged release.
What to watch for next
A reliable confirmation would come from an official EA or BioWare announcement that names the game and provides a release window or date. Until one does, treat both the Dreadnought title and March 2027 date as unverified rather than as an announced release.
