Yes. Last War: Survival Game is free to download and play, but it offers optional purchases for real money. Google Play says some purchasable items can be random; Apple’s US listing and the official web store also show paid offers. Those disclosures confirm that spending is possible, not that it is required or that paying guarantees faster progress or better competitive results.
What “free to play” means for Last War
“Free to play” describes the cost of getting into the game: the official Google Play listing calls Last War: Survival Game free-to-play, and Apple’s US App Store listing labels it “Free · In-App Purchases.” Neither label means every item or offer inside the game is free. Both are compatible with an app that costs nothing to download but presents optional purchases after installation.
The distinction matters when budgeting. You can start without paying an upfront app price, but the game has ways to sell digital items. A free download is not a promise that every route through the game, every item, or every offer is available at no cost. Equally, the existence of paid offers does not prove that a player must buy them to play.

What you can buy, and where
The reviewed official listings show two purchase channels: in-app purchases through mobile storefronts and digital goods through the official Last War Store. They are different storefronts, and the available evidence does not show that similarly priced offers in one channel are directly equivalent to offers in the other.

The store channel and the mobile channel both involve digital purchases, but do not assume that buying through one gives the same quantity, benefits, or account treatment as buying through the other. Compare the actual item and any account restriction shown at checkout, rather than comparing only the currency symbol or the headline amount.
US Apple App Store price examples
When checked on October 13, 2026, Apple’s US listing displayed the following examples. These are storefront snapshots, not an exhaustive list, spending limit, recurring-price schedule, or promise that the same offers will appear for every player.

The examples show that the listing includes offers at more than one price point. They do not show what each package contains, how often an offer appears, whether the pass renews, or what a player receives over its duration. The listing names alone are not enough to calculate value. Read the offer details and purchase terms displayed for your account before confirming a transaction.
These figures apply only to the US Apple listing as displayed on the check date. Prices and availability may differ by country, platform, account, and date. For a decision you are making now, use the price and terms displayed in your own storefront rather than treating an older example as current for you.
Official web-store Gold Brick examples and UID restriction
The official web store displayed these Gold Brick selections when checked. Its policy describes Gold Bricks as virtual items usable only within the game and says they cannot be transferred to a different character UID.

These are displayed selections, not a guarantee that the same quantities or prices remain available. The UID restriction is especially important if you use more than one character: confirm that the purchase is being made for the character you intend to use. The store policy says a Gold Brick purchase cannot be moved to a different character UID afterward.

The price table does not establish the value of a Gold Brick, what a particular pack contains, or whether a web-store offer is better than a mobile offer. The listed quantities and prices alone are insufficient for a like-for-like value comparison. Check what the specific offer grants and the account to which it applies before paying.
Random items: what the disclosure does and does not tell you
Google Play explicitly says that some items can be purchased for real money, “including random items,” and flags in-game purchases that include random items in its content information. That confirms that chance-related items are part of the disclosed purchase environment.

The listing does not provide odds or explain the mechanics of any particular random offer. It therefore cannot tell you the probability of receiving a specific item, the number of purchases that might be needed to obtain one, or whether a particular offer has a guaranteed result. Do not infer those details from the words “random items” alone. If an offer presents chance-based rewards, review the offer’s own information before deciding whether to spend; if odds or conditions are not shown clearly, the listing does not fill in that missing detail.
For budgeting, treat a random-item purchase differently from a clearly specified item: the amount paid does not, based on the store disclosure alone, establish which result you will receive. The available official listing information is not enough to calculate an expected cost for a desired outcome.
How to decide whether to spend
You do not need to buy an offer merely because the game presents it. A careful decision starts with the actual transaction in front of you, not with the label “free to play” or a package name.

- Identify the storefront. Determine whether the offer is an in-app purchase or a purchase from the official web store. The displayed terms, item, and account handling may differ.
- Read the exact offer. Confirm the item or currency received, the displayed price, and any conditions shown before purchase. Do not assume that an offer name explains its contents.
- Check the character UID for web-store goods. Since Gold Bricks cannot be transferred between character UIDs under the store policy, verify the intended character before completing that purchase.
- Consider whether the outcome is specified. Google Play discloses random purchasable items, but the listing does not supply their odds. If an offer is random, decide whether you are comfortable paying without a guaranteed specific result.
- Set your own limit before checkout. The listed prices are examples, not a maximum. Decide what you are willing to spend before considering repeated or additional offers, and stop when you reach that limit.
- Use the price shown to you. Storefront prices can vary by region, platform, account, and date. Confirm the current total and terms in the purchase screen for your own account.
This checklist helps you understand the transaction; it cannot determine whether a purchase is worthwhile for your particular play style. The official disclosures reviewed here do not quantify the gameplay benefit of each offer.
Does paying make Last War pay-to-win?
The available official purchase disclosures do not answer that question. They establish that real-money offers exist, including random items, but they do not compare free and paying players’ progression speed, access to content, or competitive results. The presence of purchases by itself is not enough evidence to conclude that paying is required, that free players can achieve the same results, or that paying guarantees a competitive advantage.
Those comparisons would require current, version-specific information about gameplay and credible comparative evidence. Without it, the most accurate conclusion is narrower: Last War has a free entry point and offers optional paid digital goods, while the effect of spending on progression and competition is not established by the storefront disclosures.

For a player deciding whether to buy, rely on the current offer and account-specific terms shown at checkout, not on a general assumption that a package name or price tells the whole story.
