Insomniac has not officially confirmed a standalone Venom game for PlayStation 5. A September 2026 report says the project is still in development, citing an industry insider, but Insomniac and Sony have not announced the game or confirmed its platform, title, or release date in the sources available as of October 11, 2026.
What is confirmed about an Insomniac Venom game?
Insomniac’s official games catalogue does not list a standalone Venom game. Its Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 page identifies Venom as a villain in that separate game; it does not announce a Venom-led title.
In September 2026, Push Square reported that industry insider NatetheHate2 said the Venom project remained in development. The report also said the insider did not know when it would be announced. PlayStation LifeStyle reported a similar insider claim on September 7, while noting that the developers had not announced the project. These are secondary reports, not official confirmation.

No official PS5 confirmation appears in the sources reviewed. The September 2026 reporting describes a possible project, but there is no announced standalone title, release window, or official platform information. Does Marvel’s Wolverine confirm the Venom project?
No. Sony announced Marvel’s Wolverine for PS5 on September 15, 2026. That announcement confirms Wolverine’s status, not a separate Venom game.
