No—not according to the Steam listing accessed on October 9, 2026. It showed Hell Let Loose for US$49.99 in the United States. The free-to-play offer associated with the game was a limited weekend in October 2019, not evidence of a promotion running now. Steam prices and offers can vary by region and change over time.
What the limited-time free offer was
A Steam community announcement from the Hell Let Loose team, published October 11, 2019, said the free weekend would end Monday, October 14, at 6 p.m. BST. It also advertised a 20% discount afterward. That announcement records a past event; it does not establish a current free weekend or the terms of any present-day offer.

What kind of game is Hell Let Loose?
Hell Let Loose is a large-scale, squad-based World War II first-person shooter. Steam lists Expression Games as developer, Team17 as publisher, and July 27, 2021, as the full release date. Its store description features 50-versus-50 matches, 14 roles across command, infantry, recon, and armour, and battle settings spanning the Eastern and Western Fronts and North Africa. Named locations include Carentan, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, and Kursk.

A microphone-equipped headset may help with squad communication, but the listing does not require or recommend a particular headset. The description also highlights tactical decisions, resource management, vehicles, artillery, large maps, realistic ballistics and recoil, and persistent progression.

Because the 2019 announcement does not confirm any current promotion, check the game’s Steam store page for its current price and any trial or free-weekend notice before downloading or buying. If Steam announces another event, read its dates and regional terms: a time-limited free weekend is different from a permanent free-to-play release.
