Heat: Pedal to the Metal does not have a verified native iOS or Android release. Official information confirms a physical 1–6-player racing board game, browser play through Board Game Arena, and an official PC adaptation on Steam. If you see a phone listing, check that it is not an unofficial companion or misleading store page.
What Heat: Pedal to the Metal is
Heat: Pedal to the Metal is a hand-management racing game from Days of Wonder, designed by Asger Aleksandrov Granerud and Daniel Skjold Pedersen. The tabletop edition supports one to six players, is rated for ages 10 and up, and advertises a playing time of about 60 minutes. Asmodee UK lists the physical product as SKU DOW9101, barcode 824968091012, with a publisher release date of 7 October 2022.
Each player races a car around one of several tracks while managing speed and the risk of overheating. The game’s appeal is not simply playing the highest movement value: you must decide when to spend Heat cards for extra pace, when to conserve your engine, and how to position yourself for the next corner.
How the racing system works
Hand management controls your speed
Players choose cards from their hands to determine movement and tactical effects. Those choices create a constant trade-off between gaining positions now and keeping useful cards for later turns. The central question is whether a burst of speed is worth the Heat it adds to your car.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Overheating creates the main risk
Heat cards represent an engine pushed beyond its comfortable limit. Taking them can help you attack a straight or close a gap, but accumulating too much Heat makes future hands less efficient and can leave you vulnerable when the track demands acceleration. The race therefore rewards timing rather than uninterrupted maximum speed.
Stress and upgrades add variety
Stress cards introduce uncertainty into your hand, while Upgrade cards let players customize their cars. Before each race, customization changes how a car handles the demands of the track, giving players a reason to adapt their strategy instead of following one fixed build.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.

Can you play Heat online?
Yes. The publisher’s product information links to Board Game Arena, which provides browser-based online play. This is different from installing a native phone app: you play through a supported web browser, and the available interface or access terms can depend on Board Game Arena’s current service.
The game also has an official digital adaptation on Steam. Its listing describes races set in the golden age of 1960s motorsport, supports one to 12 players, and credits the same designers as the tabletop game. Steam is a PC platform, not confirmation of an iPhone or Android release.

How solo and season play work
Legends drivers for solo games
The Legends module supplies automated drivers. It supports solo races and can also add non-human opponents when fewer people are at the table. That makes the physical game playable without a full group while preserving traffic and competitive pressure.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Championship System
The Championship System links races into a season that can be played in one game night. It gives a series of races a broader structure instead of treating every circuit as an isolated event. Car customization, weather and road conditions can make decisions carry differently from one race to the next.

What “on mobile” means for this game
If you want to play on a phone or tablet, the verified option is browser access through Board Game Arena, subject to that service’s device support. There is no confirmed evidence here of a downloadable native iOS or Android app. A web shortcut saved to your home screen is still a browser experience, not a separate mobile edition.
For a larger-screen digital version, the official Steam adaptation is the clearly documented choice. For the complete component set, solo Legends rules and Championship play, choose the physical board game. These are distinct formats rather than interchangeable listings for one mobile product.
Who should choose which version?
- Choose the physical game if you want face-to-face racing, tactile cards and tokens, and the full tabletop systems for one to six players.
- Choose Board Game Arena if your priority is playing remotely in a browser and you do not need a native app.
- Choose the Steam adaptation if you want an official digital implementation on PC and support for larger online races of up to 12 players.
Before buying, confirm the edition and platform shown by the seller. The physical product’s listed identifier is DOW9101, while a phone-store result should not be treated as official unless it can be tied to a current publisher or platform listing.
