Short answer: choose the Roomba 105 Vac Robot + AutoEmpty Dock if you want LiDAR mapping, app and voice control, and a dock that can hold debris for up to 75 days. Choose the original eufy RoboVac 11S if you need a 2.85-inch-tall robot, prefer a simple remote, and can find a verifiable unit despite eufy retiring the model in 2025. The available manufacturer specifications do not prove that either one cleans better than the other.
What this comparison actually covers
These are not equivalent bundles. The iRobot product documented here is the Roomba 105 Vac Robot + AutoEmpty Dock, model configuration Q352020. The Roomba 105 family also includes Vac-only and Combo products, so a listing that says only “Roomba 105” may not include the same dock, filter or features. Confirm the exact bundle before ordering.
The eufy product is the original RoboVac 11S, not the 11S Max. eufy’s US product page remains online, but eufy announced the original 11S’s retirement in 2025. Remaining listings may be new old stock, renewed or used. That status changes the buying calculation more than a small difference in headline suction numbers.
iRobot announced that the Roomba 105 Vac series would begin availability on March 18, 2025, in North America and selected European markets. See the 2025 Roomba lineup announcement for the regional launch statement.

Navigation and control: mapped automation versus a remote
Roomba 105: LiDAR mapping and neat rows
The Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty uses ClearView LiDAR mapping and neat-row navigation according to iRobot’s product listing. In practical terms, the robot is designed to build a map of the cleaning area and travel in organized passes rather than relying solely on random movement. The same listing describes app controls and voice-assistant operation, which lets you manage cleaning without locating a physical remote.
Mapping is most valuable in homes with several rooms, because a robot that knows its position can generally be directed by room or scheduled through its software. The exact app functions, voice platforms and regional availability can vary, so check the controls shown for the specific bundle and market before buying.

The original 11S is deliberately simpler. eufy lists automatic cleaning, drop sensing and a supplied remote control, but no Wi-Fi connection and no Alexa support for this model. You should expect to start or stop it with the remote or its onboard controls rather than through a phone app or cloud account.
That simplicity can be an advantage if you do not want account setup, wireless configuration or voice assistants. It also means the 11S does not offer the mapped-room control described for the Roomba 105. If your priority is scheduled, room-aware cleaning, the 11S is the weaker fit regardless of its lower purchase price.

Cleaning performance claims: why the numbers cannot be ranked directly
eufy lists the 11S at a maximum 1,300 Pa and says BoostIQ raises suction automatically when the robot detects that more power is needed. The figure is a manufacturer specification for maximum suction, not a guarantee of dust pickup on every floor.
iRobot instead advertises “70X more power-lifting suction” than the Roomba 600 series. That is a relative comparison against iRobot’s own 600-series baseline, not a pressure value in pascals. A 1,300 Pa specification and a 70X claim use different measures and baselines, so multiplying or ranking them would be misleading.
No independent head-to-head cleaning test is established by the cited product pages. You therefore should not claim that the Roomba 105 removes more dirt than the 11S, or that the 11S is equally powerful, based only on those figures. For this comparison, navigation, emptying, clearance, runtime conditions and availability are better-supported decision points than a supposed suction winner.
Dustbins, docks and maintenance
Roomba 105 AutoEmpty dock
iRobot advertises up to 75 days before the AutoEmpty dock needs emptying. “Up to” is a manufacturer estimate, not a fixed interval: homes with pets, heavy shedding or more frequent cleaning can fill the dock sooner. The cited package includes the robot, dock and one extra filter.
The dock reduces the need to handle the robot’s dust container after every run, which is the main convenience advantage over the 11S. It also adds floor-space and height requirements around the charging station. Verify that the exact listing includes the AutoEmpty dock; Vac-only Roomba 105 products are different purchases.
Rank #3
RoboVac 11S dustbin and consumables
The 11S has a 0.6 L dustbin and no self-emptying dock is described. You must remove and empty the bin manually. eufy lists the robot at 55 dB, although perceived noise depends on floor type, suction mode and room acoustics.
The package listed by eufy includes a charging base, AC adapter, cleaning tool and one side brush, plus a 12-month warranty. Filters are consumables. eufy’s support article, How to order a filter for my RoboVac, lists the 11S among models for a particular filter family. Match the model printed on your robot with the compatibility information before ordering a replacement.
Height and furniture clearance
Height is the clearest physical advantage for the 11S. eufy lists the robot at 2.85 inches, while iRobot lists the Roomba 105 configuration at 4.09 inches. A 1.24-inch difference can determine whether a robot fits beneath a sofa, bed or cabinet.
Measure the lowest opening in your home, not just the advertised clearance of the furniture. Leave a margin rather than buying a robot that is only fractionally shorter than the opening. eufy’s support guidance warns that a robot can still become stuck when the clearance is only slightly above its body height.
The Roomba 105’s listed robot dimensions are 13.23 × 13.19 × 4.09 inches, and its listed weight is 6.24 lb. The 11S comparison material provides its height but not a directly comparable full dimension and weight set. Do not infer that the smaller height means the entire 11S occupies less floor area.

Runtime and battery differences
eufy advertises up to 100 minutes in Standard Mode on hardwood floors. That is a conditional result: carpet, higher suction, obstacles and battery age can reduce operating time. Treat it as a mode-and-floor estimate rather than a universal one-charge duration.
The cited Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty page does not provide a directly comparable runtime figure. Its specification does identify an LFP-type lithium-ion battery. Because one manufacturer supplies a conditional minute figure and the other does not on the cited page, runtime cannot be scored as a fair numerical contest.
What comes in each package
| Item or specification | Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty | RoboVac 11S original |
|---|---|---|
| Robot | Roomba 105 Vac robot | RoboVac 11S |
| Charging or emptying hardware | AutoEmpty dock | Charging base and AC adapter |

| Cleaning accessories | Not stated beyond the extra filter | Cleaning tool and one side brush |
| Control method | App and voice-assistant operation described | Remote control included |
| Warranty | Not stated on the cited comparison page | 12 months listed by eufy |
Package contents can vary by region and seller. Read the box contents for the exact SKU rather than assuming every Roomba 105 or every 11S listing has the same accessories.
Buying checklist before you order
- Identify the exact model. For iRobot, confirm the listing says “Roomba 105 Vac Robot + AutoEmpty Dock,” not a Vac-only or Combo variant. For eufy, confirm it is the original 11S, not the 11S Max.
- Measure furniture. Compare the lowest clearance with 4.09 inches for the Roomba 105 or 2.85 inches for the 11S, and leave a practical margin.
- Check the control method. Select the Roomba if app or voice control matters. Select the 11S only if remote-based operation is acceptable; it has no Wi-Fi or Alexa support.
- Plan dock space. The Roomba’s AutoEmpty dock needs a permanent charging location and adds hardware beyond the robot. The 11S uses a charging base but does not self-empty.
- Verify condition and seller. Because eufy retired the 11S, determine whether the offer is new, renewed or used and inspect the return policy.
- Confirm replacement parts. Check that filters and brushes are compatible with the exact model number. eufy says accessories for the retired 11S will continue to be available, but compatibility still must be verified.
- Check the current price and stock. Neither cited product source fixes a permanent street price. Compare the exact bundle, warranty and condition at the time you buy.
Which robot fits your home?
Choose the Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty when you value automation
- You want LiDAR mapping and organized row navigation.
- You expect to control cleaning from an app or with a voice assistant.
- You prefer a dock that can hold debris for up to 75 days under the manufacturer’s stated conditions.
- Your furniture has at least 4.09 inches of usable clearance, with extra room to avoid snagging.
- You are buying a current, clearly identified bundle and accept that price and stock can change.
Choose the original RoboVac 11S when physical simplicity matters
- Your lowest furniture opening is too short for a 4.09-inch robot but fits a 2.85-inch model.
- You prefer a remote and onboard automatic cleaning over Wi-Fi, apps and voice assistants.
- You are comfortable emptying a 0.6 L bin manually.
- Your expected cleaning pattern matches eufy’s “up to 100 minutes” Standard Mode hardwood-floor claim.
- You have found a listing whose condition, seller, warranty and replacement parts are clear despite the 2025 retirement.
Availability and retirement: a bigger issue for the 11S
eufy’s retirement notice, updated September 8, 2025, states: Today, we’re officially announcing the retirement of eufy RoboVac 11S.
The statement comes from the eufy team in its retirement announcement. eufy also says replacement accessories will remain available.

A product page remaining online does not prove dependable new inventory. If you buy an 11S, save the seller’s condition description, confirm the 12-month warranty applies to that unit, and make sure the return window covers a functional test. A renewed or used robot can have a different battery condition from a new-old-stock unit.
Best Value
- It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
iRobot continues to list the Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty product, but current price, regional stock and bundle contents are not permanent. Availability should still be checked at checkout.
What this comparison cannot establish
- There is no cited independent laboratory test comparing debris pickup between these two robots.
- The 70X suction statement is relative to iRobot’s Roomba 600 series, while 1,300 Pa is eufy’s maximum-suction specification; they are not interchangeable.
- The sources do not establish long-term reliability, battery lifespan or repair costs for either model.
- The cited Roomba page does not provide a runtime number comparable with eufy’s hardwood Standard Mode estimate.
- Current street prices, discounts and stock levels are not fixed by the manufacturer pages.
Those limits do not make the comparison useless. They identify where the evidence is solid: the Roomba 105 offers the more capable listed navigation, control and dust-handling system, while the 11S is shorter, simpler and available only through remaining or secondary stock.
Final buying decision
For most buyers who have adequate furniture clearance, the Roomba 105 Vac + AutoEmpty is the more capable budget choice because its listed feature set includes ClearView LiDAR mapping, neat-row navigation, app and voice control, and an AutoEmpty dock. Buy it as the exact Vac + AutoEmpty bundle, not merely any product labeled Roomba 105.

Its 2.85-inch height and advertised 100-minute hardwood runtime are useful, but retirement in 2025 makes seller condition and parts availability part of the product decision. Neither robot can be declared the objective cleaning winner from the available manufacturer figures.
