Recent reports identify the teased phone as the iQOO Neo 12 and attribute a 9,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset to it. However, the available coverage does not establish a complete, final specification sheet or confirm the phone’s launch date, price, or sales markets. Treat these details as reported teaser specifications, not as a confirmed retail listing.
What is reported about the iQOO Neo 12?
Reports dated October 10, 2026, say iQOO had begun teasing the Neo 12 and describe its battery and chipset. The reports are secondary coverage; an iQOO announcement or teaser was not directly verified in the material available for this article. Gadgets360’s October 9 report had said iQOO had not confirmed the phone at that time, so the later reports should not be read as proof that every listed feature has been officially finalized.
| Reported detail | What coverage says | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Model | iQOO Neo 12 | Identified by recent coverage; a directly checked iQOO product announcement was not available. |
| Battery | 9,000mAh | Attributed to teaser coverage; final capacity wording is not independently verified here. |
| Main chipset | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | Reported; not independently verified against an iQOO source. |
| Gaming hardware | iQOO Q3 gaming chip | Reported; not independently verified against an iQOO source. |
| Display | 2K resolution, 185Hz refresh rate | Reported; not independently verified against an iQOO source. |
| Cooling | Built-in active cooling, described as an Ice Dome system | Reported; implementation is not independently verified here. |
| Model number | V2618A | Gadgets360 reported that this number appeared on Geekbench; it does not by itself confirm the final retail specification. |
MobileDokan’s October 10 coverage summarizes the reported battery, chipset, display, gaming chip, and cooling claims (MobileDokan). Gizmochina also reported that iQOO had begun teasing the phone (Gizmochina). Gadgets360 reported the model identity and Geekbench model number on October 9, while noting that iQOO had not confirmed the phone at that point (Gadgets360). These reports do not substitute for a directly checked official specification page.

Coverage published October 10 attributes the features to an iQOO teaser, but the underlying first-party teaser was not directly verified here. The careful answer is that reports say the Neo 12 is being teased with a 9,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. They do not establish that iQOO has published final retail specifications for all markets. A separate GadGeek report characterized specifications and timing as unconfirmed (GadGeek).

That distinction matters: teaser claims can describe a product direction without providing the complete configuration, market-specific variant, or final terms buyers will see on a product page. Until iQOO publishes those details, the battery capacity, chipset naming, and other features should be treated as reported rather than settled purchase specifications.
What remains unknown?
- Launch date: No exact date is established in the coverage. One report expects a China launch the following month, but presents that as an expectation rather than an announced schedule.
- Price: No verified price is available.
- Availability: Sales markets and any global release have not been verified.
- Final configuration: The reports do not establish all retail variants or whether every market will receive the same specifications.
- Other specifications: Charging, cameras, dimensions, and software details are not established by the available reporting.
Should you wait for the iQOO Neo 12?
If you are considering buying it, wait for an official regional product page or a real retailer listing before making a decision. Confirm the exact market and variant, then check the final battery rating, chipset, price, and availability. A large capacity figure alone does not establish real-world battery life, and a high refresh-rate display matters only if the apps or games you use support it. No retail listing or market compatibility has been verified here.
