The official India specifications do not establish a current, like-for-like price difference, and these figures are not independent tests of battery life, charging time, gaming performance, or camera quality.

Which phone has the better display?
The Neo 10R’s listed screen is 0.19 inches larger diagonally: 6.78 inches against the Turbo 5’s 6.59 inches. It also lists 144Hz support in named games, while Xiaomi specifies up to 120Hz for the Turbo 5. That does not mean every app or game runs at the highest rate: actual refresh behavior depends on software and support in the title. Choose based on preferred screen size and the games you play rather than treating the peak refresh figure as a universal setting.

Battery and charging: what the ratings tell you
The Turbo 5 has the higher manufacturer-listed typical capacity, 7540mAh versus 6400mAh, and the higher wired-charging rating, 100W versus 80W. Xiaomi also lists 27W wired reverse charging. These figures indicate rated capacity and charging capability, not measured endurance or a guaranteed time to charge. Usage, settings, temperature, charger and other conditions affect real results; no matched battery or charging test is established here.
Performance: chipset names are not a benchmark
The phones use different processors: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the Neo 10R and Dimensity 8500-Ultra in the Turbo 5, which Xiaomi lists as a TSMC 4nm chip with a peak clock of up to 3.4GHz. Chip names, manufacturing process and advertised clock speed alone do not determine sustained performance, heat, or frame stability. No independent matched benchmark is available in this comparison, so a performance winner cannot be established from these specifications alone.

Cameras and video: compare results, not megapixels
Both phones list a 50MP optically stabilized main rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Neo 10R lists a 32MP front camera; the Turbo 5 lists a 20MP front camera. Resolution and optical stabilization do not establish which phone takes better photos or selfies. The listed video modes are 4K at 60fps for the Neo 10R and rear 4K at 30fps or 60fps for the Turbo 5. To choose between them, compare sample photos and video, including stabilization, in the conditions that matter to you.

Durability and software support
Xiaomi’s Turbo 5 FAQ states Gorilla Glass 7i, a metal frame, IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, plus four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Those are Xiaomi’s manufacturer statements. The cited iQOO parameter extract does not establish an equivalent durability rating or update commitment; that absence is not evidence that the phone has no protection or support.

Price difference and availability
A current, unconditional price difference for equivalent configurations is not established. The iQOO official store listing showed the Neo 10R 12GB+256GB at ₹35,999 and out of stock; Xiaomi’s official bank-offer terms listed variant-specific offers that ended September 30, 2026. Neither is a matched current price for both phones. The offer period has passed, and the iQOO listing’s stock status can change.
Check current official or retailer listings before buying, comparing the same RAM and storage tier where available. The cited Xiaomi India specifications list 256GB storage, while iQOO lists 128GB and 256GB options. Compare the seller, stock, base price and any conditional card or exchange discount separately. Do not infer a price gap from unlike storage tiers or an expired promotion.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Neo 10R if you prefer a larger listed display or want its advertised 144Hz mode in a supported game.
- Consider the Turbo 5 if its larger stated typical battery, higher rated wired charging, or Xiaomi-stated durability and update commitments are priorities.
- For gaming or demanding workloads, look for independent tests of sustained performance and frame stability; the chipset specifications alone do not settle that comparison.
- For photography, compare real sample images and video rather than using camera resolution as a quality ranking.
- Before purchasing, verify your exact variant, current local availability, software version, warranty and equivalent-configuration price.
