The iQOO 15R leads on published battery capacity, rated charging speed and refresh rate; the Xiaomi 17T stands out for its dedicated 5x periscope telephoto camera. Both have 6.59-inch AMOLED displays, so the better choice depends on camera reach, power priorities, local pricing and regional support terms—not a single universal winner.

Specifications are from Xiaomi’s UK Xiaomi 17T specification page, its global camera description, and iQOO’s India iQOO 15R parameter page. Availability and configurations can vary by market.
Which phone has the better display?
Both phones have a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel. Xiaomi lists a resolution of 2756 × 1268 and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. iQOO lists 2750 × 1260 and 130Hz for normal scenes. That makes iQOO’s stated refresh rate higher, but the figures do not establish which screen looks better or how consistently either phone sustains its maximum refresh rate.
Do not confuse iQOO’s 360Hz gaming touch-sampling figure with display refresh rate: they describe different aspects of screen response.

Does the iQOO 15R have better performance?
The phones use different processors: Xiaomi lists the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra, while iQOO lists the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. iQOO Indonesia also describes a Q2 supercomputing chip and company-run thermal and gaming tests in its 25 February 2026 launch announcement. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent head-to-head results.
The specifications alone do not establish a performance winner. The available comparison figures do not document a controlled, independently reproducible test method, so they are not a sound basis for predicting how the phones perform in a particular game or during sustained workloads.

Which phone is better for battery and charging?
On rated capacity and wired charging, iQOO has the larger figures: its India specification page lists a typical 7,600mAh battery and 100W charging. Xiaomi lists a typical 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 67W HyperCharge, along with support for up to 50W PPS and up to 22.5W wired reverse charging.
Capacity and charging ratings do not prove real-world battery life or actual charging time. Xiaomi says a power adapter is not included and recommends using its 67W adapter or above. Check the exact regional box contents and charging compatibility before buying; a third-party adapter is not guaranteed to deliver the phone’s maximum rated charging speed.

Which phone has the more flexible camera system?
Xiaomi 17T: dedicated telephoto reach
Xiaomi’s global camera page describes a Leica 5x periscope telephoto camera and 10x optical-grade zoom. That dedicated telephoto hardware is the clearest distinction for people who often photograph distant subjects or want a longer focal length without relying only on digital cropping.
iQOO 15R: main and ultra-wide cameras
iQOO’s India page lists a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera; it does not list a telephoto unit. The Xiaomi hardware gives it a more varied listed rear-camera range, but specifications alone do not show which phone takes better photos in every lighting condition or camera mode.

There is no single reliable price difference without specifying country, storage configuration, seller and date. The available figures come from different kinds of listings and should not be treated as a matched, current comparison.

The third-party comparison does not establish that its Xiaomi and iQOO prices refer to matched configurations, sellers or promotions. Its iQOO figure also differs from the official-store listing. The Xiaomi specification page reviewed is UK-based and does not supply an India price. Check live local listings and exact variants before deciding whether one is actually cheaper.

For Indonesia, iQOO’s official announcement dated 25 February 2026 gave launch prices of Rp7,299,000 for 8GB + 256GB, Rp7,999,000 for 12GB + 256GB, and Rp8,999,000 for 12GB + 512GB. These are Indonesian rupiah launch prices, not directly comparable with Indian rupee listings.
What software-support period is established?
iQOO Indonesia announced up to four Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the 15R. That commitment is regional; confirm its applicability to the exact model sold in your country. The available Xiaomi 17T material does not establish a support-period commitment, so compare the manufacturers’ terms for the specific regional SKU rather than assuming they match.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the iQOO 15R if
- You prioritize the larger stated battery capacity and faster rated wired charging.
- You want the higher listed refresh rate for normal scenes.
- The 15R is available at a better local price for the RAM and storage configuration you need.
Choose the Xiaomi 17T if
- You want a dedicated 5x periscope telephoto camera and the listed longer-reach zoom options.
- You prefer the Xiaomi’s camera hardware mix to the iQOO’s listed main-and-ultra-wide setup.
- You have confirmed its local price, warranty and service availability.
For either phone, compare like-for-like RAM and storage, regional warranty and support terms, and the cost of any charging adapter you need. Where sustained performance, photo quality or day-to-day endurance is decisive, seek independent tests of the exact regional models; the published specifications do not settle those questions.
