The iQOO 15 is a conventional flagship phone built around a 6.85-inch, 144Hz display, a 7,000mAh rated battery and three 50MP rear cameras. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 instead combines a 5.5-inch cover screen with a 7.6-inch folding inner display. The deciding difference is how you want to use the screen—not a specification-sheet winner.

What the different form factors mean
iQOO 15: one large, uninterrupted phone screen
The iQOO 15’s 6.85-inch AMOLED display is a single panel with a listed resolution of 3168 × 1440 and refresh rate of 144Hz. That layout suits someone who wants a large screen in a conventional phone body, without unfolding the device to reach its main display.

Galaxy Z Fold8: a cover screen and a larger inner workspace
The Fold8 has a 5.5-inch cover screen for use while closed and a 7.6-inch inner display when opened. Its inner screen is listed at a 4:3 aspect ratio. That gives you a larger, squarer canvas than a typical phone display, but whether it helps with reading, multitasking or other tasks depends on the apps and your habits; the dimensions alone do not establish how well a particular workflow works.

Samsung lists the Fold8 at 201g and describes it as its lightest Fold yet. That is lighter than each of the three iQOO 15 weight figures on the cited India page, although the products have different designs and displays. Battery and charging: compare published figures, not assumed runtime
In the cited India listing, iQOO specifies a 7,000mAh battery, 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Samsung’s cited product pages list a 4,800mAh Fold8 battery, and Samsung Gulf lists 45W fast charging. These figures are not a direct measure of how long either phone lasts between charges: screen size, usage, software and other factors affect real-world endurance, and no comparative battery rundown is established here.

Charging wattage is likewise a manufacturer specification, not a promise that every charge will take a particular amount of time. The cited figures are regional product specifications; check the local configuration and charging requirements before purchase.

The iQOO India listing specifies a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP 3x periscope camera, plus a 32MP front camera. Samsung’s cited Fold8 page lists two rear cameras: a 50MP wide and a 50MP ultra-wide. On the listed hardware, the iQOO has a dedicated periscope camera; the megapixel counts and lens types alone do not show which phone takes better photos or video. No controlled camera comparison is established by these specifications.

India prices: keep the price basis consistent
On the cited India store pages, iQOO displayed ₹85,999 for the selected Apex 12GB/256GB iQOO 15 configuration, with ₹92,999 shown as its MRP. Samsung India listed the Galaxy Z Fold8 at ₹184,999 MRP, with separate exchange and offer messaging. These are not equivalent live prices because one figure is a displayed iQOO price and the other is Samsung’s MRP.

Which phone is the better fit?
Consider the iQOO 15 if you want
- A conventional phone with one large, high-resolution, high-refresh-rate display.
- The larger published battery capacity and higher listed wired charging wattage in the cited India specifications.
- A listed triple rear-camera setup that includes a 3x periscope camera.
- To compare India configurations such as 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB against a like-for-like budget.
Consider the Galaxy Z Fold8 if you want
- A phone that can be used closed on a cover screen and opened to a 7.6-inch inner display.
- A foldable format and its larger, 4:3 inner-screen workspace rather than a single uninterrupted phone display.
- To compare Samsung’s market-specific Fold8 configuration and price against the iQOO 15 in the same country.
Neither list establishes overall performance, camera quality, battery life or long-term durability. The cited manufacturer pages do not provide a controlled head-to-head test, and their product specifications do not verify software-support duration. For a Fold8, confirm that any case or screen protector is specifically listed for the exact Galaxy Z Fold8 model; compatibility should not be assumed from a different Fold generation or the Fold8 Ultra.
