An early Geekbench 7 result suggests Apple’s upcoming iPhone Duo foldable is roughly as fast as the iPhone 18 Pro models in CPU testing. The pre-release device scored 3,986 in single-core and 11,067 in multi-core while running iOS 27.1. It uses Apple’s 2nm A20 Pro chip, but this is only one sample and does not include a GPU benchmark.
What the iPhone Duo scored in Geekbench 7
MacRumors reported the result for a device identified as iPhone19,4. Its Geekbench 7 run recorded:
| Test | Score | What it indicates |
|---|---|---|
| Single-core | 3,986 | Performance from one CPU core, relevant to many everyday and lightly threaded tasks |
| Multi-core | 11,067 | Combined CPU performance across the chip’s cores, more relevant to demanding parallel workloads |
The phone was running iOS 27.1. Geekbench also reported 11.30GB of memory, which MacRumors interpreted as a device with 12GB of RAM. The listing showed a base frequency of 4.93GHz.
These figures are not a final performance guarantee. A single pre-release run can be affected by software, temperature, background activity, power settings and normal benchmark variation.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- When you receive the phone, insert a SIM card from a compatible carrier. Then, turn it on, connect to Wi-Fi, and follow the on screen prompts to activate service.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charger and charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
Which chip is inside the iPhone Duo?
The tested phone uses Apple’s A20 Pro, built on a 2nm process. The configuration identified in the result has a six-core CPU and a seven-core GPU. Apple says the A20 Pro delivers up to 20 percent faster CPU performance and up to 40 percent faster GPU performance than the A19 Pro.
The Duo result measured CPU performance only. No GPU run was included, so it cannot confirm Apple’s graphics claim or establish how the foldable handles gaming, 3D rendering or other sustained graphics workloads.

Is the iPhone Duo as powerful as the iPhone 18 Pro?
In short, the early CPU result places the Duo in the same broad performance range as multiple iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max results. Those phones use the same A20 Pro, making them the most relevant comparison rather than older A-series devices.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

|---|---|---|
| A20 Pro chip | The iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro use the same A20 Pro | Final retail configurations and firmware could change results |
| CPU benchmark | The Duo scored 3,986 single-core and 11,067 multi-core in one Geekbench 7 run | These scores do not define every unit’s performance |
| GPU performance | The Duo has a seven-core GPU | No GPU benchmark was reported for this device |
| Long workloads | Thermal behavior is expected to influence sustained speed | No sustained-load or temperature test is available from this result |
A foldable design can change how heat moves through the chassis. The Duo also drives two displays, potentially increasing sustained power demand compared with a conventional slab phone. Consequently, matching short Geekbench scores does not prove that it will maintain the same speed during long gaming sessions, extended video exports or other workloads that keep the CPU and GPU busy.

How to read the benchmark numbers
Single-core performance
The 3,986 single-core score reflects the responsiveness of one CPU core. It is a useful indicator for app launches, many interface operations and tasks that cannot spread efficiently across several cores.
Multi-core performance
The 11,067 multi-core score reflects work distributed across the CPU. Video encoding, compiling, batch photo processing and other heavily threaded jobs can benefit more from this result than ordinary phone navigation.
Rank #4
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.

- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charger and charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
Why one run is not a complete review
- Benchmark scores vary between runs and devices.
- Pre-release software may not have final scheduling, thermal or power tuning.
- Short tests can look strong even when a device slows during a longer workload.
- CPU scores say nothing conclusive about graphics performance, battery life or display efficiency.
When can you pre-order the iPhone Duo?
Pre-orders are reported to start on October 16, 2026, with retail availability and the launch scheduled for October 23, 2026. Apple has not supplied a price, regional availability, storage lineup or carrier terms in the information available for this report, so those details should be checked for the buyer’s country when pre-orders open.
Recommended Free Tools
Because this is a foldable phone, prospective buyers should also wait for confirmation of accessory compatibility. A case, screen protector, charger or stand designed for another iPhone should not be assumed to fit the Duo until its dimensions, hinge clearance and display layout are published.

What this result means before launch
The early evidence points to flagship-level CPU performance: the Duo’s A20 Pro score is broadly aligned with the iPhone 18 Pro family, and its reported 12GB of RAM suggests a configuration aimed at demanding multitasking. The important qualification is sustained behavior. The two-screen foldable chassis may handle heat differently, and there is no GPU or long-duration test yet to show whether performance remains consistent under pressure.
