Turn off Auto-Brightness at Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Auto-Brightness. Then choose your preferred level with the brightness slider in Control Center or at Settings > Display & Brightness. The setting stops the iPhone from adjusting brightness in response to ambient light; it does not disable other features that can change how bright or warm the screen appears.
Turn off Auto-Brightness

Open Settings.

Tap Accessibility, then Display & Text Size.

Scroll to Auto-Brightness and switch it off.

Set the brightness yourself using the slider in Control Center or by opening Settings > Display & Brightness.
Apple says iPhone uses an ambient light sensor to adjust screen brightness to surrounding light: it can lower brightness in dark conditions and raise it in brighter ones. With Auto-Brightness off, the brightness slider no longer changes in response to that sensor. Apple cautions that turning the feature off may increase power consumption, but does not give a percentage or measured amount. Apple Support: Adjust the brightness and color temperature on your iPhone or iPad.
If the screen still seems to change
Auto-Brightness is not the only setting or condition that can affect the display. Identify what is changing—brightness, color tone, or dimming in a particular situation—and check the matching cause below.

The screen changes color or looks different under room lighting
True Tone adapts display color and intensity to ambient light. To keep those characteristics more consistent as the lighting changes, open Settings > Display & Brightness and turn off True Tone, if available.
The screen looks warmer at certain times
Night Shift shifts colors toward warmer tones, either on a schedule or when enabled manually. Review it under Settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift. You can also touch and hold the brightness control in Control Center to reach the Night Shift control. A sunset-to-sunrise schedule may use clock and location data.

The screen dims when you are not looking at it
On Face ID iPhones, Attention Aware Features can prevent the display from dimming while you are looking at it. If dimming seems linked to where your attention is, check Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Attention Aware Features. This setting is available on Face ID devices. The iPhone is unusually warm
When an iPhone gets too warm, it may dim the display and limit maximum brightness. Let the device cool; the brightness limit may remain until its temperature returns to normal. Turning off Auto-Brightness does not override this temperature protection. Apple Support: Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures.

The display dims while locked or idle
On supported models, Always-On display can dim when the iPhone is locked or idle. Check Settings > Display & Brightness > Always On Display, if that option appears. Its behavior and availability depend on the model. Apple Support: Use Always-On display with your iPhone.
