The vivo X200T gives you a larger display, a dedicated telephoto camera and much faster specified charging; the iPhone 17 is smaller and lighter, with Apple’s A19 chip and iOS ecosystem. The India prices available for comparison are not like-for-like: Apple’s ₹82,900 figure was the iPhone 17’s 2025 launch starting price, while vivo’s ₹59,999 figure was a 12GB+256GB store listing observed on October 7, 2026. Choose between them by matching storage and current price, then weighing size, camera needs, software and charging habits.
iPhone 17 vs vivo X200T: key specifications
| Specification | Apple iPhone 17 | vivo X200T |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED; 2622 × 1206 resolution; adaptive ProMotion up to 120Hz | 6.67-inch AMOLED; 2800 × 1260 resolution; 120Hz |
| Dimensions and weight | 149.6 × 71.5 × 7.95 mm; 177 g | 160.01 × 74.29 × 7.99 mm; 203 g in Stellar Black or 205 g in Seaside Lilac |
| Processor and software | Apple A19; iOS, with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI described on Apple’s technical page | MediaTek Dimensity 9400+; Android 16 with OriginOS 6 |
| Rear cameras | 48MP Fusion Main and 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide; the main camera supports optical-quality 2x telephoto framing | Three 50MP ZEISS cameras: main, super telephoto and ultra-wide; vivo also lists telephoto macro and up to 100× ZEISS HyperZoom |
| Battery and charging | Apple advertises up to 30 hours of video playback; the cited Apple specification does not state battery capacity in mAh | 6200mAh typical, 6060mAh rated/minimum; 90W wired and 40W wireless FlashCharge |
| Water and dust resistance | IP68; Apple states a maximum depth of 6 metres for up to 30 minutes under IEC 60529 | IP68 and IP69 listed by vivo |
| Storage | 256GB or 512GB | 256GB or 512GB, with 12GB RAM |
These are manufacturer specifications, not independent head-to-head test results. A larger stated display resolution does not by itself establish better image quality, and unlike peak-brightness measurements should not be treated as directly comparable. Chip names alone also do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use.
How the prices compare in India
| Phone and configuration | Price evidence | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 17, starting configuration | ₹82,900 | Apple India’s announced launch starting price in 2025—not a confirmed current selling price. Apple’s India launch announcement |
| vivo X200T, 12GB+256GB, Seaside Lilac | ₹59,999; displayed MRP ₹79,999 | Official vivo India store listing observed on October 7, 2026; a store-page observation that can change. vivo India store listing |
Subtracting those displayed figures gives ₹22,901, but that is not a reliable current market-price gap: one is a launch starting price and the other is a dated listing for a specified vivo configuration. For a fair purchase comparison, check today’s prices for matching 256GB or 512GB storage and distinguish current selling prices from MRPs, launch prices and temporary offers.
Which phone suits your priorities?
Choose the vivo X200T if you want a larger screen and more camera focal lengths
Its 6.67-inch panel is larger than the iPhone’s 6.3-inch display, and its rear camera system includes a dedicated 50MP super telephoto camera alongside main and ultra-wide cameras. That gives you a distinct telephoto lens rather than relying on the iPhone’s optical-quality 2x framing from its main camera. vivo advertises up to 100× ZEISS HyperZoom, but that vendor specification does not establish image quality at that magnification or superiority over the iPhone.

Choose the iPhone 17 if compact size and lower weight matter
At 177g, the iPhone 17 is lighter than the X200T’s listed 203g or 205g, and it is shorter and narrower. Its Apple A19 and iOS experience may also be the better fit if you prefer Apple’s software and ecosystem. The specifications do not establish an overall performance winner.
Consider the X200T for charging specifications, not a guaranteed battery-life win
vivo lists a 6200mAh typical battery (6060mAh rated/minimum), 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Apple instead advertises up to 30 hours of video playback for iPhone 17; the cited Apple specifications do not state an mAh capacity. These figures use different measures, so they do not establish which phone lasts longer in your use. vivo says the X200T package includes its standard charger with support for up to 90W; confirm package contents for the India unit you intend to buy.

Camera and durability claims to interpret carefully
The camera specifications show different approaches, not a proven winner: the X200T has a dedicated telephoto module, while Apple describes optical-quality 2x telephoto framing on the iPhone 17’s dual-camera system. Actual results depend on conditions and testing; manufacturer specifications alone cannot settle which takes better photos or video.
vivo states that the X200T maintains a temperature 1.6°C lower than “other phones” after 30 minutes of 4K 60fps recording. The cited product-page text does not identify those comparison phones or provide the test protocol, so treat this as vivo’s claim rather than independent evidence. Likewise, the listed IP68/IP69 ratings for vivo and Apple’s stated IP68 conditions are not identical descriptions from which to declare a universal durability winner.

What to check before buying
- Compare the same storage tier: 256GB against 256GB or 512GB against 512GB.
- Verify the live India price and seller for the exact color and configuration; the figures above are a launch price and a dated official-store listing, not a current like-for-like offer.
- Choose the operating system and ecosystem you prefer: iOS or Android 16 with OriginOS 6.
- Decide whether you value a lighter, smaller phone or the X200T’s larger screen and dedicated telephoto camera.
- Base battery expectations on your own use rather than comparing mAh, charging wattage and advertised video-playback hours as if they were the same measurement.
