These figures come from the Kimovil comparison. They are specification-page values, not results from a controlled test. In particular, battery capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish real-world endurance or charging time, and the chip names do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use.
How much do they cost?
iPhone 17 Pro Max launch MSRP
PhoneArena lists US launch MSRP figures of $1,199 for 256GB, $1,399 for 512GB, $1,599 for 1TB, and $1,999 for 2TB. These are launch MSRP figures, not current sale prices. The 256GB figure corresponds to the iPhone configuration in the Kimovil comparison; a 512GB iPhone is a closer storage match for the cited OPPO variant, but costs more at the listed launch MSRP. TechRadar reported a UK price of £1,099 and an Australian price of AU$2,299 for the Find X9 Pro with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Its review described those prices as £100 below a comparable iPhone in the UK and AU$300 below the iPhone with 512GB in Australia. These are review-period comparisons from 2025, not current offers. For a fair value comparison, compare phones with the storage you actually need and check the total local price, seller, stock, and warranty. The cited OPPO configuration has twice the storage of the cited iPhone configuration, so comparing their headline prices without that qualification can mislead.
Screen size and everyday handling
The displays are close in diagonal size: 6.9 inches for the iPhone and 6.78 inches for the OPPO, according to Kimovil. The same comparison lists the iPhone at 233g and the OPPO at 224g. The OPPO is therefore 9g lighter on those listed specifications, while both remain large phones; if one-handed handling matters, consider the physical size and weight in person rather than relying on diagonal display size alone.
Camera hardware: OPPO’s telephoto option stands out on paper
OPPO’s official product page specifies three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera, a 200MP Hasselblad telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. It also describes an optional dedicated 3.28× optical teleconverter that works with the telephoto camera for longer reach. The teleconverter is relevant if you regularly photograph distant subjects, but check its regional listing and compatibility before buying. The Kimovil comparison identifies the iPhone as having a triple rear camera, but the available figures do not provide a controlled photo comparison between the phones. Megapixel counts and camera labels cannot by themselves determine which phone takes better photos; results depend on more than resolution. Choose based on the camera features you will use and seek sample images or tests that match your subjects and conditions.
Software and ecosystem
The cited comparison lists iOS 26 on the iPhone and Android 16 with ColorOS 16 on the OPPO. Those are different software platforms, so the practical choice may come down to the apps and devices you already rely on, the interface you prefer, and the continuity features available in your region. The sources cited here do not establish a complete feature-by-feature ecosystem comparison.
Both listed chipsets are flagship-class product specifications, but the comparison provides no controlled benchmark or head-to-head performance result. Do not treat the processor names or RAM figures as a substitute for testing the apps, games, or workflows that matter to you.

Battery and charging figures need context
Kimovil lists a 4,823mAh battery and 40W charging for the iPhone, versus 7,500mAh and 80W for the OPPO. Those published comparison-page values make the OPPO’s nominal battery and charging figures larger, but they do not prove longer battery life or a particular charge time. Actual results depend on usage, settings, charging equipment, and test conditions; no controlled endurance or charging comparison is established here.
Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the iPhone 17 Pro Max if you want iOS or already prefer Apple’s platform, and confirm the storage tier and current local price you need.
- Consider the OPPO Find X9 Pro if its Android/ColorOS experience suits you, you want the cited 16GB/512GB configuration, or the 200MP telephoto system and optional teleconverter fit your photography.
- Check regional support before ordering the OPPO: official availability can vary by market, and an imported or marketplace phone may have different seller and warranty arrangements. Verify the exact model, local network compatibility, seller, and warranty coverage.
Neither phone is a universal winner. The most useful deciding factors are your preferred platform, the storage configuration, camera use, and the current price and support available where you live.
