The iPhone 16 is the smaller, lighter choice, while the OnePlus 13 offers a much larger, higher-resolution display and a three-camera rear system with a dedicated 3× telephoto lens. Their platforms differ too: iPhone 16 runs in Apple’s iOS ecosystem; OnePlus 13 uses OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. The documented US launch prices differed by $100, but the phones started with different storage capacities, and those launch figures are not current October 2026 prices.

Which phone is better for size and display?
The iPhone 16 is easier to carry if a smaller body matters: it is 15.3 mm shorter and 4.9 mm narrower than the OnePlus 13, and it weighs 40–43 g less depending on the OnePlus finish. The OnePlus 13’s 6.82-inch screen is better suited to readers who want a larger viewing area, while its stated resolution and 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh range are higher than the iPhone 16’s listed display figures.
Brightness figures need context rather than a simple ranking. Apple lists up to 1,000 nits typical maximum, 1,600 nits HDR peak and 2,000 nits outdoor peak. OnePlus lists 1,600 nits HBM and 4,500 nits peak. These are different manufacturer labels and conditions, not results from a controlled side-by-side measurement.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Durability claims
Apple specifies an IP68 rating for iPhone 16 under IEC 60529, including a maximum depth of 6 m for up to 30 minutes. OnePlus describes the OnePlus 13 as IP68 and IP69 rated. These are manufacturer-stated ratings; neither should be treated as a guarantee against liquid damage. See Apple’s explanation of splash, water and dust resistance and OnePlus 13 product information.
How do their chips, memory and software differ?
Apple lists its A18 chip with a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. OnePlus lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, Oryon CPU and Adreno 830 GPU, alongside 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The listed chip names and component counts do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use; no comparable benchmark results are established here.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
The software choice is a separate practical distinction: iPhone 16 uses iOS and fits Apple’s platform, while OnePlus 13 ships with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. Neither ecosystem is universally preferable; the useful question is which platform and services you already use or want.

The rear camera layouts differ. iPhone 16 pairs a 48MP Fusion main camera with a 12MP ultra-wide; Apple says the main camera also supports 12MP 2× telephoto capability. OnePlus 13 has separate 50MP wide, 50MP 3× telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide cameras. Megapixel counts and lens arrangements do not settle color, detail, low-light results, focus, or video quality, so specifications alone cannot identify a camera winner.

For stated video modes, OnePlus lists rear recording up to 8K at 30 frames per second and 4K at 60 fps. Apple lists 4K Dolby Vision recording up to 60 fps. These are different listed features, not a direct quality comparison.
Battery life and charging: compare the right measures
Apple publishes playback estimates for iPhone 16: up to 22 hours of video, 18 hours of streamed video and 80 hours of audio. OnePlus lists a 6,000 mAh typical dual-cell battery. Capacity and playback estimates are different measures, so they cannot be used as a direct endurance comparison.

Charging specifications also depend on accessories and conditions. OnePlus lists 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging on its US specifications page, up to 100W when using a OnePlus SUPERVOOC 100W Dual Ports Power Adapter, and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. Apple says iPhone 16 can reach up to 50% charge in 30 minutes under its specified adapter and cable conditions, and lists MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging up to 25W under stated conditions. Check the manufacturers’ requirements for the charger and accessories you plan to use.
What was the US launch-price difference?
| Phone and launch configuration | Reported US launch price | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 16, 128GB | $799 | Apple’s September 9, 2024 announcement |
| OnePlus 13, 12GB RAM/256GB | $899 | Android Central’s 2025 launch-price report |
| OnePlus 13, 16GB RAM/512GB | $999 | Android Central’s 2025 launch-price report |
Subtracting the two reported base prices gives a $100 launch-price difference, with the OnePlus 13 higher. That comparison is not like-for-like: the OnePlus base configuration had 256GB storage, double the iPhone 16’s 128GB base capacity. Apple announced US preorders for iPhone 16 on September 13, 2024, with availability from September 20; OnePlus announced the North American OnePlus 13 series on January 7, 2025. The dates and prices describe launch history, not today’s price or stock. Sources: Apple’s 2024 iPhone 16 announcement and Android Central’s OnePlus 13 price and release-date report.

For a purchase in October 2026, check current US retailer prices, stock and exact storage configurations before deciding value. The launch figures above do not establish current street prices or promotions.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose iPhone 16 if you prefer a smaller, lighter phone, want iOS, or value Apple’s stated video playback estimates and its camera’s 2× option.
- Choose OnePlus 13 if you want a substantially larger, higher-resolution 1–120 Hz display, prefer Android/OxygenOS, or want a dedicated 3× telephoto camera and the listed high-wattage charging options.
- Compare current prices by storage rather than relying on the $100 launch-price difference; the base models did not have the same storage.
For a fuller choice, weigh the physical size you are comfortable carrying, your preferred software ecosystem, which camera focal lengths you use, and the chargers you already own. Specifications do not answer which camera looks better or which phone lasts longer in your own routine.
