The iPhone 15 is the better fit if you want Apple’s iOS ecosystem, while the OPPO Reno16c 5G puts more emphasis on a larger stated battery, expandable storage and a 3.5x optical telephoto camera. OPPO’s India prices are available by configuration, but the evidence here does not establish a current, matched iPhone 15 price—so there is no reliable price difference to quote.

How do the prices compare?
OPPO lists the Reno16c 5G in India at ₹49,999 for 8GB/128GB, ₹53,999 for 8GB/256GB, and ₹59,999 for 12GB/256GB. OPPO says these prices were correct as of September 9, 2026 and are subject to change. See OPPO’s India product and pricing page for current details.
A precise price difference against the iPhone 15 cannot be stated without a current iPhone price for a specified storage configuration and seller in the same market. Apple’s cited announcement documents the iPhone 15’s 2023 launch features, not its current India selling price. Retail prices, offers and available configurations can vary, so compare listings for the exact storage tier and seller before buying.

Which phone has the more useful display?
iPhone 15: smaller Super Retina XDR screen
Apple specifies a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display and Dynamic Island for the iPhone 15. Its smaller diagonal may suit someone who prefers a more compact phone, but the diagonal alone does not determine sharpness, brightness or overall display quality.
Reno16c 5G: larger 120Hz AMOLED panel
OPPO lists a 16.69cm (6.57-inch class) AMOLED display with 2372 × 1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its larger stated screen and higher refresh rate may appeal if you prefer more screen space and smoother scrolling. Those figures do not, by themselves, show which display looks better in everyday use.

How do the cameras differ?
iPhone 15: 48MP main camera and 2x option
Apple’s launch announcement describes a 48MP main camera and a 2x telephoto option, alongside 0.5x, 1x and 2x optical-quality zoom levels. The 2x option is not a separate dedicated telephoto camera; Apple presents it as an additional zoom choice from the main camera system.
Reno16c 5G: dedicated 3.5x optical telephoto
OPPO lists a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide. This gives the Reno16c a higher stated optical zoom ratio and a dedicated telephoto camera. It does not prove that its photos are better: image processing, lighting, stabilization and other factors also matter, and no comparative camera test is available here.

Which offers more battery and charging capacity?
OPPO states that the Reno16c battery is 7000mAh typical and 6850mAh rated, and lists 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging. OPPO also says a charger is included. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not translate directly into a predictable number of hours or establish how quickly the phone charges in practice.
Apple’s cited iPhone 15 launch announcement does not give a battery capacity in mAh, so a capacity-to-capacity comparison is not supported by these sources. Do not infer comparative battery life from the Reno16c’s capacity figure alone.

Storage, connectivity and ecosystem trade-offs
Choose around storage needs
The Reno16c is listed with 128GB or 256GB internal storage and supports storage-card expansion. Check the card format and maximum supported capacity with OPPO before purchasing a card. The iPhone 15’s current configuration and listing are not established here, so confirm the exact storage tier offered by the seller.

The iPhone 15 uses USB-C and Apple’s announcement also mentions MagSafe and Qi2 support. Those features may be relevant if you already use compatible accessories. The phones belong to different ecosystems—Apple’s iOS family and Android with ColorOS 16—so consider the apps, services and devices you already use. Current OS versions beyond the cited information and future update commitments are not established here.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the iPhone 15 if you want Apple’s iOS ecosystem, Dynamic Island, USB-C and Apple’s stated 48MP camera system with a 2x option.
- Consider the Reno16c 5G if its India-market price tiers suit your budget and you prioritize its stated 7000mAh typical battery, 80W charging, 3.5x optical telephoto and expandable storage.
- Check before deciding if you need NFC or eSIM, or if you are comparing prices: verify the exact storage configuration, seller, market and current listing for both phones.
This is a specifications-based comparison, not a hands-on review. No comparative battery, camera or performance tests are established here. Apple’s specifications come from its September 12, 2023 announcement: Apple Newsroom: iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus announcement. Reno16c specifications and India pricing come from OPPO’s product information, with prices dated September 9, 2026.
