The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is the larger-screen option, with a 6.83-inch display and a dedicated 3.5x optical-zoom camera; the iPhone 15 is more compact and runs iOS. The price figures available here are not a like-for-like comparison: Apple’s $799 figure was the iPhone 15’s US launch price in 2023, while Nothing’s US store displayed $419 for the 8GB/128GB Phone (4a) Pro on October 7, 2026. Check current prices and configurations before deciding.

How the displays and size differ
The Phone (4a) Pro has the substantially larger screen: Nothing lists a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with adaptive refresh up to 144Hz. Apple lists the iPhone 15 as a 6.1-inch display, measuring 6.12 inches as a standard rectangle. That makes the Nothing the more natural candidate for a larger viewing area, while the iPhone’s smaller dimensions may suit people prioritizing a more compact handset. The published specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better or feels smoother in use.
The 144Hz figure is Nothing’s advertised maximum, not a claim that the display runs at that rate in every situation. Apple’s cited launch material does not establish an iPhone 15 refresh-rate figure, so this comparison does not assign one.

Camera systems: optical reach is the key difference
Apple specifies a 48MP main camera and a 2x telephoto option derived from the main camera system. At launch, Apple described a new 24MP default for high-resolution photos, computational photography and next-generation portraits; those are Apple’s product claims, not independent image-quality findings.
Nothing lists three rear cameras, including a 50MP OIS main camera, ultrawide camera and 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. Its product page also advertises up to 140x ultra zoom. Optical zoom and digitally extended zoom are not equivalent: the maximum digital figure does not demonstrate useful detail at that range. Megapixel counts likewise do not determine which phone takes better photos. The available information supports a comparison of camera configuration, not a photo-quality winner.
Rank #2
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
Nothing lists a 32MP front camera. The cited Apple launch material does not detail the iPhone 15 front camera, so there is no supported direct selfie-camera comparison here.

Processors and software platforms
The iPhone 15 uses Apple’s A16 Bionic chip and launched with iOS 17. Nothing specifies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Nothing OS based on Android, with Essential AI tools noted in its product materials. These are different platforms and software ecosystems; choose according to the apps, services and device relationships that matter to you. No directly comparable benchmark results are available here, so the processor names alone do not establish which phone is faster for a particular task.

Charging, battery and protection
Charging and battery
Apple specifies USB-C charging, MagSafe and support for future Qi2 chargers. Nothing specifies 50W wired fast charging. These describe different charging considerations: one emphasizes wired charging speed, while the other includes a wireless accessory ecosystem. Check the manufacturer’s regional listing and the package contents before budgeting for a wall adapter or other accessory; do not assume one is included.
Nothing lists a 5,080mAh battery for the Phone (4a) Pro and notes a 5,400mAh version for India only. Battery capacity does not by itself establish runtime, and those regional figures should not be generalized to every market.

Water and dust resistance
Apple rates the iPhone 15 IP68 under IEC 60529 and says it was tested in controlled laboratory conditions up to 6m for 30 minutes. Apple also cautions that resistance may diminish over time. Nothing lists IP65 and describes a test under 25cm of water for up to 20 minutes. These are different manufacturer-stated ratings and conditions, not equivalent tests or a guarantee against damage in everyday use.
What the price difference does—and does not—show
Apple announced a US starting price of $799 for the 128GB iPhone 15 in September 2023, when availability began September 22. That is historical launch pricing, not a verified current selling price. On October 7, 2026, Nothing’s US storefront displayed $419 for an 8GB/128GB Phone (4a) Pro, crossed down from $499; this was a changeable storefront offer, not a stable price guarantee. See the Apple announcement and Nothing US listing.

Because the figures are from different dates and have different price contexts, subtracting them would not produce a reliable current price difference. For a fair comparison, check the same country and date, equivalent storage where available, unlocked or carrier terms, seller, taxes, warranty and any promotion conditions. Nothing’s US listing shows an 8GB/128GB configuration; verify the exact iPhone 15 configuration and both phones’ availability with the seller you intend to use.
Quick Recap
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the Phone (4a) Pro if you want a larger advertised display, a dedicated periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom, or Nothing OS based on Android. Confirm that the detailed specifications and configuration apply in your region.
- Consider the iPhone 15 if you prefer a smaller display, iOS, or Apple’s MagSafe and Qi2-compatible charging ecosystem.
- Compare current offers before buying either if price is decisive. The cited prices are not contemporaneous, equivalent retail quotes.
- Check local details such as network compatibility, warranty, storage, seller and included accessories. Nothing’s support page lists a protective case and USB-C cable in the box, but regional contents should be confirmed: Nothing product characteristics support page.
