Which phone has the better display?
Choose the Pro for smoother scrolling in a smaller phone
The 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro supports ProMotion up to 120Hz and has an Always-On display. The higher refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother. Its smaller screen also makes the phone the more compact option of the two.

Which has better battery life?
Apple rates the iPhone 15 Plus for up to 26 hours of video playback and the iPhone 15 Pro for up to 23 hours. These are manufacturer estimates for video playback, not a guarantee of everyday runtime; actual battery life depends on use and conditions. The published figures favor the Plus by three hours.
USB-C is on both, but transfer speeds differ
Both phones use USB-C, but their data-transfer capabilities are not the same. The iPhone 15 Pro supports USB 3 speeds up to 10Gbps, while the iPhone 15 Plus supports USB 2 up to 480Mb/s. That difference matters most when moving large files over a wired connection; it does not mean the Plus lacks USB-C.

Which model should you choose?
Choose iPhone 15 Pro if you value
- A more compact 6.1-inch phone with a 120Hz ProMotion display and Always-On display.
- A dedicated telephoto camera, macro photography, and ProRes video recording.
- USB 3 wired transfers up to 10Gbps.
- Titanium construction, the Action button, or a 1TB storage option.
Choose iPhone 15 Plus if you value
- A larger 6.7-inch display.
- Apple’s higher video-playback estimate.
- A dual-camera system without the Pro-specific camera, display, or USB 3 features.
What to check when buying refurbished or used
- Match storage and condition: A price comparison is meaningful only when capacity and device condition are comparable.
- Review battery and support terms: Check the seller’s battery and condition disclosures, warranty, and support coverage.
- Confirm unlocked status: Make sure the phone can be used with your intended carrier.
- Check regional model details: SIM arrangements vary by geography. Apple says U.S. models have no physical SIM tray, while some other regional versions do. Use Apple’s iPhone model identification guide to check a device’s model information.
When did the iPhone 15 models launch?
Apple announced that the iPhone 15 lineup would arrive worldwide on September 22, 2023. The Pro and Plus are both 2023 models; the main choice is whether the Pro’s camera, display, and transfer features matter more to you than the Plus’s larger screen and higher Apple-rated playback estimate.
