Which phone has better camera zoom?
On the listed optical telephoto specifications, the iPhone 15 Pro Max reaches 5x and the Galaxy S25 reaches 3x. That indicates a difference in optical reach, not which phone takes better photos overall. Megapixel counts alone also do not establish image quality; these specifications do not provide a matched photography test.
How do their displays and battery claims compare?
Both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Apple specifies the iPhone’s 6.7-inch OLED at 2796 × 1290, while Samsung specifies the S25’s 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X at 2340 × 1080.

Samsung reports a typical 4,000 mAh capacity and up to 29 hours of video playback for the Galaxy S25. That is a manufacturer-stated figure under Samsung’s test conditions, with variability caveats; it is not a result from a directly comparable test against the iPhone. Apple’s cited technical page does not give a playback-hour figure for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, so the available figures do not establish which lasts longer in equivalent use.

Both phones use USB-C. Apple’s cited package description includes a cable and does not include a power adapter. Samsung says the Galaxy S25 does not include a travel adapter and notes that package contents may vary by region. Check the box description for the specific market and seller, and confirm that an existing USB-C charger suits your needs.

To calculate a useful difference, compare offers for the same country and date, the same storage capacity where available, and the same condition (new or refurbished) and seller type. Do not compare a current offer for one phone with the other phone’s historical launch price, or treat mismatched storage and condition as a valid price gap.
