JLL-owned building-services firm Integral UK reported a 2025 pre-tax loss of £921,000, down from £8.8 million in 2024. The loss narrowed even as turnover fell 7% to £273 million and average staff numbers dropped by 358 to 1,332. Integral said it had rationalised parts of its contract portfolio and substantially completed steps to close out legacy construction projects; the reported figures do not show how much any one action contributed to the smaller loss.

What changed in Integral’s 2025 results?

Construction Enquirer reported the results on 12 October 2026. Its figures show a much smaller pre-tax loss alongside lower turnover and a smaller average workforce. The company remained loss-making for a seventh consecutive year, according to the report.

Measure 2025 2024 Reported change
Pre-tax result £921,000 loss £8.8 million loss Loss narrowed
Turnover £273 million Not stated as an exact figure; the report says 2025 turnover fell 7% Down 7%
Average staff 1,332 1,690, calculated from the reported reduction of 358 Down 358
Annual payroll £87 million £104 million Down £17 million

All figures in the table are as reported by Construction Enquirer; the underlying filed accounts were not independently reviewed for this report. The 2024 average staff figure of 1,690 is the arithmetic result of adding 358 to the reported 2025 average of 1,332, not a separately stated figure.

Which parts of the business grew or declined?

The two revenue groupings moved in different directions. Planned maintenance and reactive works fell, while project-work revenue edged higher.

Activity 2025 revenue 2024 revenue Change
Planned maintenance and reactive works £174 million £196 million Down £22 million
Project work £99 million £97 million Up £2 million

These revenue movements do not establish which activities were profitable or explain the overall change in pre-tax loss. The report does not give divisional margins or a peer-company comparison.

What did Integral say it did?

Integral said its engineering-services and construction-project portfolios continued to be rationalised “to enhance profitability.” It also said steps to close out legacy long-term construction projects had “substantially concluded during the year.” These statements describe the company’s actions and intentions; the report does not quantify their separate effect on the result.

The reported workforce and payroll reductions occurred alongside the loss narrowing, but the published figures do not provide a calculation linking the staffing changes to the improvement. They also do not isolate the effects of portfolio changes, project close-out, or other factors.

What is Integral, and what changed about its branding?

Construction Enquirer describes Integral as owned by JLL. The report says Integral joined JLL in 2016, following a 2005 management buyout, and was previously known as Staveley Industries. It also says JLL branding was adopted for engineering, projects, and soft-services delivery, while specialist cooling and refrigeration businesses retained the Integral name. These ownership and history details are report-attributed context.

What has the company said about future work?

The report attributes to management a strong facilities-management pipeline and the opportunity to pursue more work through JLL’s wider client base. It does not give a quantified forecast or identify confirmed awards, so this should be read as management’s outlook rather than guaranteed future revenue.
