InteeBuild is an open-source project designed to turn a public website or HTML into an Android project, APK, or AAB. Its documented workflow covers analyzing the input, configuring app details and permissions, auditing the setup, and building an output. The project’s author describes these as capabilities; they have not been independently verified across websites or Android devices.
What InteeBuild does
InteeBuild was introduced by its author, Droncito, in a DEV Community post published October 5, 2026. The project is hosted by the Fluxionics organization on GitHub and is described as a web-to-Android builder. Its aim is to reduce the setup work involved in packaging a website for Android, rather than to turn every website feature into a native Android feature automatically. How the documented workflow works
The project describes a sequence from website input to downloadable build:
- Choose a starting point: select a template or configure the project manually.
- Provide content: enter a public URL or supply HTML, then run the web analysis step.
- Configure the Android app: set its name, package identity, version, icon, colors, permissions, and any selected native plugins.
- Review and build: adjust build settings, inspect a preview, and generate an APK, AAB, or project ZIP.
The author also lists API access, webhooks, GitHub Actions builds, build artifacts and logs, APK inspection or decompilation, and URL and webhook checks as project capabilities. These are author-reported features, not results from independent testing. The repository identifies Capacitor 7 and Native WebView as READY providers; it labels TWA, GeckoView, and Cordova EXPERIMENTAL, and Flutter and Tauri PLANNED. Those labels are the repository’s own status descriptions and can change.

Permissions do not create native functionality
A permission in an Android manifest is only a declaration. It does not make the website itself capable of using a camera, location, microphone, or other device feature. As Droncito puts it, “adding a permission to Android’s manifest doesn’t magically make the website capable of using that hardware.”
InteeBuild describes checks for permission metadata, runtime access, special Android settings, dependencies, minimum SDK requirements, and readiness. The useful question is therefore not only whether a permission can be selected, but whether the site, generated app, and any required native bridge actually support the feature. The project materials do not establish compatibility across particular websites, Android versions, or devices.

Requirements and ways to run it
The repository lists Node.js 18 or later and a GitHub account with an empty repository for builds among its prerequisites. It documents both local installation and deployment to Render; Render is an option, not a requirement. The repository states that it is MIT licensed. Check its current setup instructions for exact commands and configuration before starting, since those details may change.

Because the service accepts website URLs and APK files, the project describes safeguards against risks including requests to localhost or private networks, cloud metadata endpoints, unsafe redirects, oversized HTML or icons, malicious ZIP or APK structures, API abuse, invalid webhooks, and rate-limit abuse. The repository also describes configurable CORS and a limit of 10 builds per hour per IP in its deployment configuration.

These are implementation claims in the author’s post and repository, not evidence of an independent security audit or proof that every control is complete. The listed build limit is a project configuration detail, not a performance benchmark or guarantee for every deployment.

InteeBuild may be worth examining if you want an open-source starting point for packaging a web experience as an Android app and are comfortable checking the generated project and build pipeline. Before relying on it for a production app, verify that the provider you need is currently supported, review how your required native features are implemented, and test the generated app on the Android versions and devices that matter to you.

In the October 5, 2026 post, the author said the near-term priority was stability and security rather than adding features. That is a statement of intent at that date, not a guarantee about subsequent development or current maintenance.
