When a kettle or stove may be the better choice
A conventional kettle or a pot heated on the stove may be enough if you only need hot water occasionally, do not want plumbing work, or prefer not to dedicate counter or cabinet space to another appliance. The cited article offers a personal account of convenience, not a measured comparison of speed, operating cost, or capacity. Choose based on how often you use hot water and what installation your kitchen can accommodate.
Connected kitchen appliances are a different kind of smart
If app control, alerts, voice commands, or integration with a smart-home platform are priorities, look at connected appliances instead. Support is model-specific, and Matter compatibility does not automatically mean that every appliance function is available through every platform.
